If you thought the puzzles were awesome on 1001 Jigsaw Earth Chronicles 1 and 2, then you are in for a whole lot of happiness with this third edition! :) These pictures are phenomenal, from bunnies, bears, and koalas to exotic lizards, lemurs, lories and toucans. If you thought the puzzles were awesome on 1001 Jigsaw Earth Chronicles 1 and 2, then you are in for a whole lot of happiness with this third edition! :) These pictures are phenomenal, from bunnies, bears, and koalas to exotic lizards, lemurs, lories and toucans. There are aquatic wonderlands, beautiful flowers and people from around the globe, in 7 different categories, Animals (my favorite) Birds, Landscapes, Flora, Waterworld, Food and Humans, each category has 143 different puzzles for a grand total of 1001 beautiful puzzles ranging from 12 pieces to 247. There are several different features that will help keep you organized and on track, a box to store extra pieces, you can post an image of the picture and choose what size you want, or you can ghost the image on the background. There is a magnifying glass and a hint feature, you can use the auto sort button and border pieces only, as well as change the color of the background to pink, green, blue or gray. My favorite feature hands down is the Modify section which allows you to customize any of the puzzles. You choose how many pieces, the shape of the puzzle pieces and whether you want the pieces to rotate or not! If you are a jigsaw geek like myself, then I highly recommend this edition, enjoy! This series of Jigsaws from '8 Floor' is probably the best type of game they have put out. They have lots of games in other genres, but they just have not measured up to the production values that are present in these jigsaw games, especially this particular one.

I really enjoy the wonderful selection of pictures offered here, the nature and animal ones are my favorites. I have the others in this series and all of them are very nice. The replay value is great because of all the different sizes to choose from each time you assemble the puzzles. I really enjoy the wonderful selection of pictures offered here, the nature and animal ones are my favorites. I have the others in this series and all of them are very nice. The replay value is great because of all the different sizes to choose from each time you assemble the puzzles. I own many computer jigsaws now that my physical disability keeps me in bed most of the time. Working a puzzle at the table with my cat helping me find the right piece (lol) would be a big blessing, but this substitutes quite well so far, though my kitty would disagree.

My other fave is Jigsaws Galore. It lets you turn any of your own photos into jigsaws and the pieces include animal shapes, trees, buildings (cute stuff that adds an extra little challenge). Lots of fun!

Anyway back to this puzzle...it really is delightful and so colorful and crisp. I have only 2 complaints: I wish there were a few more color selections for the background. The ones here are the same in every puzzle package and are very pale and I think they need to be a little brighter, darker or just different altogether. My 2nd complaint is that the finished puzzle disappears far too quickly. I like to see my accomplishment and ooh and ah over it for a little bit, it adds to the enjoyment and wouldn't it be nice to actually save the finished picture to your file or folder so it can be used as a wallpaper or screensaver later. I really do not know why the developers have not thought of these important things. Maybe they are just game creators and not really lovers of jigsaws and simply do not understand the pleasures they are omitting.

Other than that, I love this set of puzzles and very highly recommend it. I hope more will be coming to us hopefully with lots of animals, nature, birds. AND with changes that will make it even more fun for us. There is such a shortage of jigsaws on Big Fish. Alas! Such is life (lol) !!! Show less

Recently I have decided to go back and take a look at all of my games (yes I own over 1,300 games all from BFG) and to write reviews on those I missed. While doing that I realized how much I loved the first 1001 Jigsaw Earth Chronicles and wanted more. I wasn’t quite as attracted to game 2 in the series but game 3 grabbed me. I love the brilliant colors and the Waterworld puzzles are absolutely terrific. The puzzles in this game will keep me busy and if I did only one puzzle a day the game would keep me occupied for a little over 3 years. Now that is a lot of activity and well worth the price of the game.

The game offers the same features as the other game in the series so it has all of the features that attracted me to the original. If you are looking for a great puzzle game, I recommend that you give this one a try. Happy gaming! Show less

You can customize almost everything in this game and the pictures are great. There are only two minuses as far as I am concerned:
1. The sounds and music are awful, but luckily you can mute that.
2. When I finish a jigsaw puzzle, I like to look at the picture for a short while. Unfortunately that is not possible in this game. When you are done, the picture flashes a few times and than disappears.

I recommend this game!

Immediately after the last piece is placed in the puzzle all the pieces animate in turn (which is kinda cool) and then a big box pops up with your score and time (which is ok) - BUT - when you close out the score box you do NOT see your finished puzzle - at all - you're back at the selection menu! :(

If you're like me and part of the enjoyment of putting jigsaw puzzles together is getting to see the finished picture for awhile (or at least a few minutes) then this is a BIG disappointment because you never get to see the finished puzzle at all!

I have other jigsaw games that let me enjoy looking at the puzzles when I finish them until I click the menu button to choose another one.

If they ever change that in this game then I'd buy it in a heartbeat - but as it is now I can not recommend it. I uninstalled it and will not be buying it. Show less

pieces freeze - could be a 5 star otherwise

Would be really fun if the pieces didn't freeze.Was playing demo & put 3 pieces together to lock into body of puzzle but they stopped & froze in place so couldn't move them onto the puzzle. Once the bugs are out of it I would give it 5 stars.

I don't recommend this game.
