I found this game an interesting cross between mahjong and dominoes. The double solitaire mode actually makes finishing a level easier. It was a touch difficult to get used to dragging the tiles down to match them but that's just my age showing I guess.
I recommend this game!

This game is a whole different approach to Mahjong. I like having to unlock things and having two different ways of playing. It's a beautiful game with an interesting theme.
I recommend this game!

If you play the "single solitaire" game mode, the game plays somewhat like a cross between mahjong and solitaire. There are double-sided dominoes on the game board but set in a layout like you find a mahjong game. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a solid stone on the left and a picture on the right. From the "dominoes" on the game board, make a match to the picture on the bottom of the screen (either side of the domino works because the game "flips" it when necessary - well, at least one side has to have a matching picture - duh). Then, the game is set and you just keep making matches. When you don't have a match, take a "stone" from the deck all the way to the left of the bottom of the screen and it will give you another picture to match. Keep doing that until you get one you can. Once the board is clear, game over. Ta-da!
There are bonuses. You will see, during game play, a sparkle on a domino. If you can use that domino before the sparkle goes away you will earn one of a variety of bonuses. The most useless for me was the additional points. I'm just not a points kind of gal.
So, of course, I had to see what the "double solitaire" mode was like because I AM a curious kind of gal. The game board is the same. Two-sided dominoes. But, at the bottom of the screen, there is a picture to the left of the stone AND to the right. You can match either side as noted in the description above. However, and this is a big however for older people like me, maybe those with arthritis, etc., you have to DRAG your domino to the appropriate side you want it to go to. This was a huge issue for me because I can no longer do the drag thing very well. This mode of play seemed to make the game go more quickly, but then, it could have been just because it was only 2 levels I played vs. the 7 of the other mode.
Besides the 2 modes of play, and the bonuses earned, there is a definite map you follow. Game mode 1 described way up above has 12 levels, containing 5 sub-levels each (you do the math - I was asleep that year). Game mode 2 (the other one) has 10 levels with 5 sub-levels each (I know this answer but still, you do the math - lol).
Aside from the intriguing twist on several types of games, I didn't find anything about it to engage me enough to want to purchase it. I will, however, recommend it for anyone who likes solitaire, mahjong and/or dominoes.
And for the reviewer who slammed the game because they couldn't figure out how to play it ..... there is a help section that explains it quite well.
Happy Gaming! Show less
