Finally a regular HO game

Finally got a regular HO game..without all of the extra garbage they have in the ones nowadays. It is very short..I finished it within the hour trial but bought it anyway so I can play it again later. Some of the items have names I was not sure of but the hint helped there.

I recommend this game!

This is a decent hidden object game with nice art to view after each HO puzzle. The puzzles are simple but fun with bonus items to find in sequential order. All objects were fairly easy to spot but I did enjoy the trial and purchased the game. I don't know yet how long this game is, since I never have time to play an entire game, but it is a good, relaxing game to enjoy.

I love this game!! I am waiting for the fourth series, I have them all. It's so relaxing playing a game while enjoying the art!

There are twenty two wonderful fine art paintings in this hidden object game. I could only truly appreciate it after playing it three times, simply because it was so relaxing and you don't get to see everything in the paintings the first time around. I like the system where you buy hints and you have to be careful you don't buy too many, otherwise you run out of money and can't buy any hints at ...Show more

I could only truly appreciate it after playing it three times, simply because it was so relaxing and you don't get to see everything in the paintings the first time around. I like the system where you buy hints and you have to be careful you don't buy too many, otherwise you run out of money and can't buy any hints at all, or decorate the mansion, but the mansion section is just a sideline thing and is not needed. The game is enough in itself. Show less

I have played this type of game before but I am SO SO SO glad it was BOGO.....this game was about 25 minutes long....the items WERE kind of hard to find, but pitifully short

For me, many of the HO games are too busy with other things than finding hidden objects. I played for an hour demo and didn't finish the game so not sure how long it really lasts for an average player. HO is not my first choice of games usually, so I may be slower than someone who always plays them. I did like this one. I didn't find it too dark too see the objects. I guess it all depends on how you play it - whether you click all over the place, not minding a random-click penalty; or use the Hint a lot; or both. If you take the time to actually look for the objects yourself, I think you will find the game is long enough, certainly for a game based solely on finding hidden objects. There *are* no puzzles to solve except for these Hidden-Object Puzzles. So if the game had been any longer, it might have become monotonous and boring.

As for the game itself, I thought it was rather nice. I especially liked the paintings. The hidden objects were all easy to find. In short, it is a nice, relaxing game that most folks should enjoy. And that is why Show less

Very basic, but I enjoyed it. Only played trial and unlikely to buy it based on others saying it was really short, but it was challenging enough and a pleasant distraction. Popped up with bonus and warned you when you're about to blow it. Didn't do dialog, so ....

There's a silly and somewhat unnecessary plot between scenes involving the curator and a Freudian psychotherapist (I skipped that tedious dialogue after a while) and some fun “art mansion” restoration where you spend the coins you earn during the painting scenes. The concept behind Hidden World of Art 3 is great; you are a museum curator overseeing the restoration of classic paintings. There's a silly and somewhat unnecessary plot between scenes involving the curator and a Freudian psychotherapist (I skipped that tedious dialogue after a while) and some fun “art mansion” restoration where you spend the coins you earn during the painting scenes. I am an art lover and really wanted to give this game 5 stars as the paintings are beautiful and interesting and I like the whole concept. However, the HOG English was really bad in this one – odd, since the dialogue scenes with the psychotherapist were perfect, but wow, I hated spending coins for hints due to translation errors. A dreamcatcher is not a “flycatcher.” A mallard is not a goose. Salver is not silver, a whirligig is not a top (not really, anyway) and a showel is not a shovel (I was looking for a shawl). Also over and over: “round garland” for wreath (although that one was easy to figure out compared to the others). Yikes. I hope the developers notice this review before they release another Hidden World of Art (looks like 4 is already out; sigh.). I consider myself quite patient with HOG English, but it was a real problem in this otherwise delightful game. 4 stars it is, then and I'll “recommend game” anyway. Show less
