I love this series but the fact that the developers gave us a choice in the beginning (won't spoil it), wow! I love that. I can replay the game. And what a beautiful game this is. I would recommend it for beginners, intermediate and expert alike. Enjoy!

This game is so appealing to me. There have been many so so HOPA'S lately but I found this one kept me interested and great for Halloween.

A bit of ingenuity here is that you can decide if you want more puzzles, more HO's or an equal amount . Brilliant idea as we all have different tastes, some want more hidden objects and some like me are puzzle freaks.

Often you read that there are too much of one or the other, now you can have your choice. Once you decide to buy you can have another profile and try it another way. Great fun.

Thank you GrandMA for this as well as a brilliant and enthralling game.

You can even opt for a match 3 which for me was not that interesting and I found the hidden object games very interactive ( Never thought I would hear me saying I prefer a Hog to a match 3)

Others can describe the ins and outs far better than me so try the demo and see what you think.

I usually say in demos to skip the dialogue but not in this case,I found it a crucial part of the game .

I love this storyline from Whispered Secrets that tests your fine detective skills. Attending a secret auction provides the setting for this entertaining story. While you and others are trapped within an old mansion, a mystery will be uncovered while investigating the disappearances of 3 collectors.

The weird harlequin, Curioso, is a character that brings another shade of creepy to the plot. I really like the game so far and with so much to gander at in each scene, this will take a long time to finish. I think the features offered here make Morbid Obsession a more-than-usual entertaining game. Being able to decide the fate of someone, based on past deeds is, for me, a bit uncomfortable even in a game, but it kicks the interest level up a notch. Also, it is great having several choices of gameplay. Naturally, I went with more HOPs, feeling a welcomed relief of less puzzles to muddle through. However, the mini-games I have encountered aren't too bad. The HOPs are nicely varied and creative and a Match 3 game is available for a change-up if needed.

The clear, beautiful graphics display lots of rich color. The scenes present much to sift through in search of clues, as you discover new tasks to complete. The characters are nicely done with their features and costumes. The atmosphere is appropriate for this kind of story and the music helps to keep the light creep-factor in tact. This isn't a scary game and that works fine for me. It is fast-paced and I haven't, yet, had any tech issues pop up. I feel this story offers good replay value, too, which I don't see in many games.

I think this CE Edition offers only a moderate amount of extras, but I am very satisfied with the three choices of gameplay, the extra chapter to be revealed, and the task of solving a mystery surrounding the unfortunate collectors and a highly prized collectible. Hopefully, the Bonus Chapter brings more mystery and dark secrets into the light. I like the story extensions and extra HOPs that lengthen the fun of the adventure. Sometimes the Bonus Chapter makes a so-so game worth the price of admission after all.

This Whispered Secrets game provides the usual game modes, so everyone can play. It doesn't show anything that is of an offensive nature. I think it can be enjoyed by any age group, but try the demo and decide whether or not this game is for you. Show less

I can choose between more hos or puzzles? YAY! I choose hos.
Thank you Grandma for providing this choice. I'm more apt to buy if this is an option. I'm tired of puzzle heavy games. This game has beautiful graphics and enough creepy for Halloween. Definitely a buy for me..

Excellent game! You have a choice between more mini games (yes!) or HOPs. Love the clever mini games! Please make more games with this choice. I only play these games for the mini games (plus stories and graphics).

Oh this was a big winner for me. Choosing between HOS or puzzles? Who could resist. I thought this was a creepy game in it's own way. Choosing fates of people is uncomfortable at best. The collectibles are fun. They start out easy and then get more tricky as you dig into the game. The include:

The HOPs are varied and enjoyable, with some being straight HOPs, some minis, some morphing, etc. The puzzles are very doable, not impossible but not too easy either (most of the time).

Overall the game and its plot are very creative. The colors are vivid, and there's a lot going on in each scene. Well timed for Halloween but great for any time of the year.

GrandMA Studios You outdid yourself, with every twist and turn i was playing this and solving that, finally a game That requires Brain Power, not a sissy game but its more like come on you can do it type of game and believe me the Thinking Cap needed sometimes, ..... more- more -more Bravo!!!!

Loved this game through and through. Loved the feature that lets you pick how many/much puzzles and H.O.'s. That in itself was bomb. Collectibles were not in plain sight but not insanely hard to find either. LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Please Lord let there be more games like this in the future, lol!

Over the years, Whispered Secrets has slowly but surely become one of my HOPA favorite series. In each Whispered Secrets story, GrandMA Studios expertly crafts a beautifully haunting tale of drama and tragedy, which is often backed by the studio’s signature creative game mechanics and stellar production and this edition, Whispered Secrets 12: Morbid Obsession is an EXCELLENT example why I really love this series!

Right from the beginning, Whispered Secrets: Morbid Obsession hooks you in with its captivating gameplay. The game’s fast and consistent pacing adds a sense of urgency that is then magnified by its memorable villain Curioso and his obsession for collecting souls. During your investigation you must match wits against Curioso to help several obsessed Collector's redeem themselves from the terrible decisions they have made or Curioso will keep their souls for his own obsessed desire; which is to keep these Collector's trapped in his mansion forever!

Another fascinating element to this story is that rarely ever in the world of HOPA is the player allowed to directly control the direction of the storyline. In the past, we have gotten multiple games in which we can select our response to certain conversational questions, but whichever choice we choose often leads to the same outcome. However, this game really allows your selection to affect the outcome. This not only makes the game even more engaging and adds to its complexity, but amps up its replayability as well. This, combined with some stellar hidden object scenes and enjoyable puzzles turns Whispered Secrets: Morbid Obsession into a supremely entertaining psychological adventure full of creativity and quirky objectives.

Whispered Secrets: Morbid Obsession would not have been this effective if not for its outstanding production. The game’s gothic color scheme is balanced out by some bright, eye-popping details. Each visual element is meticulously designed with expertise and care, which is evident through the highly-detailed artwork, precise and creative scene layout, and bar-raising animations. Similarly, the game also excels in the audio department. From the sound effects to the background music and the voice-overs – all components are simply flawless.

Whether Whispered Secrets: Morbid Obsession is worth the Collector’s Edition purchase and should not even be a question since it is probably one of the very best games of 2020. Firstly, you can replay the game for a different outcome as previously mentioned. Furthermore, there is also a bonus chapter that is just as exciting as the main game, along with a mini-size hidden chapter. Lastly, there is a good deal of traditional bonus items, including a strategy guide, wallpapers, concept art, soundtracks, cutscenes, replayable hidden object scenes, replayable mini-games, achievements, collectibles, and morphing objects. I highly recommend this game to players of every level. Cheers!
