If you like Fantasy Mosaics I think you will enjoy this as well. I found the pictures a bit simple and the play a little less difficult but still very pleasant way to pass my "quiet time".

THE PLURAL OF DWARF IS DWARVES NOT DWARFS!!!

Sorry, I had to get it out. I had a great time making these puzzles. They are not the most difficult or tricky but they are fun but each time I see the word dwarfs I cringe.

Great fun if you are not a sticlker for grammar

I recommend this game!

I have to say give this game a try if only to see the end results of the mosaics. I actually had to laugh at some of them. The game play is very easy. I crossed off a row at a time and still there was very little challenge. There are power-ups and the usual fill-ins etc. but to me they were not necessary unless once past the demo the puzzles get harder. For as beautiful as the opening scene is the ...Show more

It is a decent game, colorful and restful for the eyes. ( I hate in other games when you point on a square and the rows and columns around it turn very bright)
The grid becomes 20x15 very quickly.

There was nothing enjoyable about this game. It did not have enough appeal to fill a pin head. Sometimes I'm amazed at the poor quality of games that find their way into BFG.

First of all, the music disappeared early into the game. The images were very plain and difficult to distinguish. Without the labels I would never have guessed what many of them were. I especially disliked "The Queen Cut Her Finger" and "Baby's Drop of Blood", and "The Pregnant Queen" more closely resembled a hillside than a baby bump.

Honestly, the pictures were awful. They were so simple to complete, that I went through 16 of them in a flash and I only went that far to see if the images improved or not. NOT!!!

There are 12 tile designs, all with flat-matt finish. Colors are basic and not much variety, up to 6 per image. I chose Normal Difficulty and it was very easy. Switched to the more difficult mode for a bit, the challenge was not too bad. There is a 3-star goal, lose one for Hint and one for Mistake. It would be hard to make a mistake in this too easy game. The two tools are a Wand and Magic Mirror which recharge quickly after use, replenishing with the successful progress made as you play. The Wand uncovers one cell, the Mirror reveals a 3x3 block.

I've never been a fan of Fables Mosaics because of overly simple play and unattractive images. However, I thought since mosaic games have undergone some make-overs, this one may have improved. The reviews should have been a strong clue that something needs to change. Anyway, today's release left a lot to be desired, IMO.

It will likely appeal to nonogram fans who like to keep it simple and thus more relaxing and don't mind the "mystery" images. There are enough chapters for plenty of puzzle solving if there was more of a challenge. I encountered no tech issues and the grids were easy on the eyes. However, there just wasn't enough entertainment here to inspire me in the least to purchase. I hope it is a source of new fun for beginners in this genre and that other mosaic fans find it a delightful addition to their collection. Show less
