Although I no longer do really long or in depth reviews, I did want to jump in and say that this game was great fun for me.

It had a nostalgic tone that took me back to some of the old days adventure games that I really lost myself in way back when. So I really enjoyed it.

I know it won't be for everyone, so be sure and try the game first.

I recommend this game!

Loved this! Finally, a game that challenges the mind! A bit older style graphics, but not bad at all. I am a 72-year-old gamer and I buy games for the challenge, not the pretty pictures.

BFG really should offer more games like this! Played all day yesterday!

Cast your mind back when life was not as technically easy as it is today.

No Mobile phones, no computers, no gadgets in cars.
This game is very retro and in this one there are no hints, helpers, sparkles etc, you just have to go it alone and solve all the clues without any aid what so ever apart from what the locals tell you.

This game will not suit everyone but I love it.

All to often with HOPAS you have a hint and yes I admit I do use hints when really struggling but here you just have to persevere which is so cool.

I am loving this one - lots to do and fun to play. This is a very retro game reminding me of early point and click adventures but with good graphics instead of the early blocky ones.

Yes it is a old style HOP game and I actually love it! It's been awhile since I have played a old style game like this where you actually have to think about what to do next. A very nice change for gamers. Hope you all will try it.

I will admit, I had to resort to a walkthrough twice (and there are both video and print walkthroughs available with a search), but was embarrassed each time, because I had missed looking in a dark spot, or had not examined a scene carefully enough.

It was an interesting story, slow moving, but not boring. I enjoyed the little surprises along the way - find a new person when I went back to a scene, or figuring out how to make another person move when I needed them to get out of my way.
Background sounds are spooky forest, and it is rather dark and murky, but I enjoyed it, and will probably play it again in a year or so, when I've forgotten where things were. I found it relaxing, and I recommend it - as long as one is prepared for a slow moving game that is reminiscent of old text games.
Oh, there is one large spider, for those arachnophobes among us. Show less

A fun adventure. Brings me back to my first days with BFG, when there were great adventure games to look forward to. I love this game love the look of it and the graphics. Patience is required, and there is no hand holding which may not be every ones cup of tea but for me it's just great.

I recommend this game!

Finally, a game without finding shards to construct a mirror. Without being taken by the hand and led to the finale. A game that needs you to use your brain and intellect.

Certainly not for the more brain dead, cookie cutter game players. If you are in for a real challenge, this is your adventure game.

this is a thinker, takes patience annoying that they didn't talk but a thinker for sure. make sure you check the dark spots things hiding in there. but i liked that i didn't flush right through this and had to use my brain.

I don't usually write a review..but for this game I am. It was a good game with lots of challenges. You should make more games like this. I am really tired of the Fairy Tale stories. I would recommend this game..
