I loved the first Runefall and have played it several times. Since reviews claimed Runefall2 was the same as the first I decided to download my old game and just play it again. Once it was over, I wanted more so decided to try out the new Runefall.

I loved the first Runefall and have played it several times. Since reviews claimed Runefall2 was the same as the first I decided to download my old game and just play it again. Once it was over, I wanted more so decided to try out the new Runefall.
Although Runefall2 used the same tiles (which are items needed in the game) it is not the same game. The biggest improvement is the "in game" map. Unlike the first Runefall, the map OPENS to display where you are and to select where next to explore. Another improvement is when all runes in your current area are found, you can choose to finish exploring the entire map or go on to the next level. The story and characters are quite delightful and funny in this romantic tale. The only thing I wish was carried over to the new Runefall would be the loud crashing when crates are destroyed. Very satisfying!
So if you own the first Runefall or not, try the new one. Show less

I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I like the match-3 and the quests. I read the dialogues rather than listening all the way through, and the story is cute. A fun game when you're trapped at home!

I hadn't played the first Runefall, but I really love this one. I wish I had known there was a collector's edition and I still might spring for that. I LOVED the storyline and the voices, which are hilarious. I'm pretty sure the narrator used to be a leprechaun, but I could be wrong. He's stellar in any case! I love the runefall games but i'm having a hard time finding the hidden areas. help me please. I've jumped all over, went from one end to the other and still cant find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love 3 match games a lot, but what I hate is when I cannot play a minigame and that this effects the plot in the central game. In this second edition of Runefall I can skip some of the minigames. I can move on without having the feeling I am stuck at some minigame I do not like.

I recommend this game!

i enjoyed playing this game. you earn power-ups in the level to open treasure chests and pass from one area to another in the level. you have goals you need to meet but if you don't meet them you can still advance. there is a story and i like that.

I have the original Runefall and I think this one is just as good. You can skip the story. I like the challenge of finding the hidden areas. Someone said 12 was hard - it is but just have patience and jump around - it is all there. Try it you may enjoy the hunt.

I LOVED Runefall 1 but I gotta tell ya, I didn't even finish the demo for this game because I was BORED to death! I was bored by the excessiveness of dialog in a story that was uninteresting, I was bored by the fact that the gameplay was the same as the first game, I've already played the first one a few times so I'm over it. I was bored with the ugly resource tiles, I was bored searching the moving boards for the same resources (and with way too much time allotted on the Timed Mode to make it challenging) nothing about this sequel made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

The board moves around as you make matches in different areas, and you collect inventory items hidden within Grass-covered tiles, Dirt-covered tiles, etc. Some tiles are blocked with stone and wood, and the artifacts themselves are blocked by stone requiring you to make at least one match next to them. There is a jump map that recharges with each shield you collect and there are even mines to collect resources whenever you make matches next to them. until depleted.

Large matches will give you Bonus, such as Amphora with a Match 4 or a Bomb for a Match 5 or more that explodes when matched or double-clicked. You'll need to find Keys to open Treasure Chests, and some chests require playing a mini-game to "pick" the lock. This Mini-game was actually a rather interesting puzzle where you have to click on 2 icons that are shown on the right to clear all pins.

The Collector's Edition version Extra's include 14 Achievements, 11 Wallpapers, a Downloadable Soundtrack, the Making of the game milestones and obstacles and a Strategy Guide.

I really wanted to buy this game. But I'll add my voice to what seems an ignored request: No moves option, no sale for me. Not just this game, any game.

This is a very good game if it was a one off but it is not it is the 2nd installment and it really is a repeat of the first game .They could have made it much more interesting.
