This is now my number one jigsaw puzzle game. LOVE it. 16 different shapes to choose from, huge trays, and control over everything from rotation, number of pieces, zoom, music and sound effects. This is now my number one jigsaw puzzle game. LOVE it. 16 different shapes to choose from, huge trays, and control over everything from rotation, number of pieces, zoom, music and sound effects. The maximum size is limited to (I think) 400 pieces - I'm still exploring - but I find that plenty and usually play in the middle range. Huge jigsaws on a computer screen usually mean tiny little pieces, which takes the fun out of it for me, so I never play large jigsaws on the computer anyway.

I hope this is the beginning of a series. I will buy them all. I trialed this one for all of five minutes, barely started my first puzzle and new I wanted it. Bought it straight away.

Puzzle Vacations: Ireland is perfect. The pieces come together well, the music is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The pictures are beautiful. I would give it ten stars if I could. Show less

This developer always gives us good games and they are always up for listening unlike some others.

This is their first attempt at a jigsaw game and they have taken a different approach to it and I always like different.

There are room for improvements but I admire the different aspects incorporated in this game to assemble the puzzles.

There are room for improvements but I admire the different aspects incorporated in this game to assemble the puzzles.

I am just loving that you do not have the standard jigsaw pieces and my favorite is the animal pieces.
I like that you can select a section by clicking on all pieces which will allow you to do edges, top right, top left and so on.

If you change to the swap game you can change to blobs etc then the challenge really kicks in.

It takes a bit of time to get used to it and it does need some improvement but at a first attempt it is a very good effort and I feel for me it is worthy of 5 stars even though it needs improving.

Any game that keeps me wanting more and more is worthy of 5 stars.
I can't wait for the next in this series as this developer listens Show less

Also like Puzzle Vacations Christmas which allows you to save puzzles not completed. This one doesn't. Is there a way to make it save uncompleted puzzles to come back to?

Of course I've done many as mini games and more than plenty of physical jigsaw puzzles since childhood (I actually have a jigsaw puzzle assembly table in my home). I had a lot to acquaint myself with before finding the fun with this puzzle collection. It has great features and options, good instructions. Yet I found it difficult to enjoy and struggled with assembly.

The categories were appealing but the images were not. The subject matter was not interesting, very little variety. The food pics were downright ugly. Of the 15 piece types my faves were Animals, Concentric, Ripple but all were very cool. Number of pieces depend on which piece type you select. There are 4 levels of Rotation difficulties, choose from Plenty of Hints down to No Hints, Jigsaw or Slider puzzles. You can zoom in and move the puzzle around, the trays are quite large for storing pieces, the are several not very appealing backgrounds. Placing the pieces felt "sticky" to me, hard to move and release.

I really enjoyed the variety of options, especially for the pieces. I expected Ireland to offer more beauty in each category so I was disappointed with that. In fact I'm buying this collection for the challenge and the unique piece styles that make it so. Normally I would shy away from puzzles like these because most of them just don't visually appeal to me. So I'm just going to jum in and maybe I'll end up with a surprising bunch of fun! I think it's probably a 5 star game for most puzzle lovers but for me it's 3.5-4 stars. Show less

One problem I saw was that there is no way to show the completed image on the side. I only saw the ghost image option. I occasionally like to refer to the photo, but the ghost image is not what I want. Maybe it's there and I couldn't find it? If not, that option really needs to be added in any sequels. It would benefit from a saved games folder as well, and as another reviewer pointed out, there needs to be a better way to view the images when choosing one.

Other than that, it's a great puzzle game and I look forward to more in the series! Show less

Looks can be deceiving - the pictures are much brighter and more colorful than they appear in the choice section of the game. The puzzle shapes are awesome and when you complete one it gives you a close up and info on the pic and Irish history. Very nice!

Most of you know I am a puzzle geek, jigsaws are my favorite genre and I do at least 1 computer puzzle daily, it's my Zen! I also love this developer, Tiny Little Lion, and I think this will be an amazing series...with a few tweaks. It has a ton of features, including a Swap-type Mode, good features that puzzle geeks like myself consider to be necessities, but there are a few over-sites that need to be addressed but this is their first attempt at a Jigsaw Puzzle game so this is to be expected.

Let's start with the things I think the game needs or things I didn't like because there aren't many!

-The 5 available Backgrounds are way too dark, even the light background option is a bit too dark.
-The puzzle pieces are too dark and it's nearly impossible to see the color variations or details (this seems to be the case with all new jigsaw devs)
-The "Preview" picture is way too dark, offering an opaqueness slider or % feature would solve this issue.
-There was no option to "grab" Border pieces only?
-It would be nice to have an option to organize the puzzle pieces neatly around the assembly board or preview picture.
-There are no options for large puzzles (400 piece max)
-There needs to be a folder or some type of indication for "saved" puzzles. The game does save your progress but the only way to find saved puzzles is to select the exact settings you started the puzzle with originally and a "Resume" tab will appear next to play (size, rotation, puzzle shape) Good luck remembering this!
-There is no option to create a puzzle using your own images. This option not only allows the player to choose their personal favorites, but it gives it a better value when the game is potentially endless!
-A personal request: a simple Square puzzle piece option (even better to be able to choose the size, such as 1/4" or 1/2" squares

FANTASTICAL OPTIONS (Jigsaw Puzzle Mode)
-There are 8 Categories, Scenery (15) Historic (26) Waters (18) Plants (9) Animals (14) Food (14) Rustic (13) Others (16)
-You can choose from several different puzzle shapes and the shape selected is displayed on the Image sample! Shapes Available: Animals, Artistic Cut, Blobs, Circle Jumbles, Circles & Squares, Concentric, Knobbed Triangles, Rectangle Jumble, Ripples, Shards, Sunburst Squares, Traditional, Warped Concentric, Warped Regular Traditional, Warped Traditional.
-Puzzles are available in different sizes, depending on the puzzle style but the largest seems to be only 400 pieces.
-Rotation options: Easy (only rotates 2 directions) Medium, Hard, or Off.
-Hints can be disabled or you can select Plenty, Moderate, or Minimal.

FANTASTICAL FEATURES: (once the puzzle has been selected)
-Trays: there are 4 Trays to sort pieces, which also shows the number of pieces within.
-Timer: keeps track of the time it takes to complete the puzzle
-Preview: Ghosts the image of the puzzle in the center.
-Recenter: I have no idea what this does, it doesn't organize pieces and the puzzle pieces snap into place on the board, so what exactly does it do?
-Shuffle: Shuffles puzzle pieces...why?
-All Pieces: I assume pieces in the trays are shown on the board.
-Zoom: you can also use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
-Hide: hides the above tabs.

FANTASTICAL OPTIONS (Swap-style Puzzle Mode)
-If jigsaws aren't your cup of tea, no worries, there are a ton of Swap Puzzle styles...some are very creative! You can choose the number of pieces, each style has a different amount of pieces available, ranging between 10-150 pieces.
-Shapes available: Bands, Circles & 1/2 Squares, Circles & 1/4 Squares, Circles & Squares, Circles & Stars, Concentric Circles, Concentric Rectangles, Double Bands, Double Split Squares, Double Strips, Octagon & Squares, Rectangle Landscape, Rectangles Portrait, Split Rectangles, Strips, Triple Bands, Triple Strips.

I do love many of the features, but as I said above, the jigsaw puzzles need some tweaking to brighten the puzzle pieces, and it needs a few features tweaked or added...however, for the normal casual Jigsaw player I think this will be the great game.

je trouve que les déplacements et le positionnement des pièces sont un peu laborieux et le calage doit être fait au millimètre pour que la pièce prenne sa place.
les différences de ton des couleurs sur les parties sombres gênent la recherche car il n'y a pas assez de contraste entre les endroits occupés et les autres.
