This is a really nifty M3. As well as 3 modes (limited moves, timed and relaxed) it has features some M3's don't always have...the main one that stands out is the light beams to reach the 'spooky dwellers' and get rid of them. You need to clear the field so the beams can get through.

So whichever you choose...CE or SE..it's a fun game and it's good that BFG always release the SE version of their games a few weeks after the CE comes out so we all have access to both prices. Enjoy! Show less

You will need to play this game strategically, but it's also fun. I always play in relaxed mode so have plenty of time to look at the layout and decide the best way to clear the bonus icons without messing up the path to the light beams that get rid of the "spooky dwellers". Give it a try. It's a little different with progressively harder levels.

Rarely do I play match 3 games in other than "relaxed mode". However, this one was SO MUCH FUN that I tried the other 2 modes as well. It was worth it. "Limited Moves" were fair so I only had to replay 2 or 3 of the levels. "Timed" mode was also fair although I had to replay several of the levels. Strategic thinking is required.
I definitely recommend this game.

I thought this game had a lot of fun features that made it a little different than most M3s. I also thought this DEV paid attention to details and tried really hard to make a fun game. It has a lot going for it. This is a definite buy.

I thought this game had a lot of fun features that made it a little different than most M3s. I also thought this DEV paid attention to details and tried really hard to make a fun game. It has a lot going for it. This is a definite buy.

3 MODES: Relaxed, Limited moves, & Timed

* There is enough glitter & bang (loved the BOO button!)
* The music changed enough & fit the game
* There were a lot of tile designs and they changed enough
* This game is very responsive to fast matching (in relaxed mode)
* It has a reason for matching by upgrading a build area.
* 1920 x 1080 selection makes for crystal clear graphics.
* The boards are festive and cover most of your monitor.
* 6 cursor choices
* I loved the light passages you create on the M3 boards to get the Spooky Dwellers.
* I really loved the HOP levels. There are real items set up like a clutter game and you are shown ½ of the item to search for in the thumbnail pic. line-up.

BUILD AREA:
As you complete the M3 boards, you are given in-game currency to spend on decorating a stone terrace for Halloween. It has 24 upgrade items that I could see in the demo. The only thing that could have been a little better would be to make us M3 rich. It's hard enough to get coin IRL "). The items cost 1000 to 9500 coins for items 1 to 24 (so expensive). I just don't think 24 items is enough for anything over 50 play levels.
I just prefer when *every* level ends, you should be able to to pick at least one small upgrade. That & multiple build scenes, like they do in the Jewel Match series (the only M3 I've ever been M3 rich.)

CE version extras:
*60 bonus match 3 levels (avail. after 90 levels play)
* 7 wallpapers (1 unlocks with the demo)
* Bonus minigames (after 30 regular) which are:
> 2 (11, 12) HO
> 2 (6, 7) Puzzles
> 10 (1-10) Higher or Lower
>10 (1-10) The Coin Collector
>More art & stories which unlock after 15 standard levels. The demo shows 1, called Granny's House, which has a before and after character drawing and a pictures of the house.

I purchased the CE version of this game - and consider the extra price well worth it! There are so few new M3 games that are any different from all the others, that finding this gem was a real Halloween Treat for me.

Even though I had to skip a couple of levels so far that I just couldn't get right, it is great to be able to just SKIP them and still continue playing the rest of the levels.

It took me about 4 days to finish the entire game. That time frame included the bonus chapter and mini games. If I had been home more often it would have been done sooner!

I have some many Halloween game I wasn't sure I wanted another one. I tried it and I glad I did. I loved and it was fun.

It reminded so much of the cursed house series. Instead of coins there were pumpkins. You had to destroy all the pumpkins to get a gold cup but since I always play relaxed I had no problems destroying them. There as a timed as well as a limited move selection.

You get coins to decorate a tearice (? spelling) with all kinds of Halloween decorations. One thing I discovered that to get all the decorations the game sends you back to the beginning to get enough money to finish decorating. Bit of a surprise there.

A nice game to play with children but fun enough for a adult. It may be late for Halloween but who cares so it will be added to the collection for next year. Show less

I have to agree with Joybelle_2. This is just not an ordinary Match 3. You have to think about it and I like that. The extra puzzles are good too. Did not get bored.
Have to decide where you have to go and what you need to get out of the way to kill the Spooks
