A real challenge

This is the 3rd in the series and has a few extras thrown in. the addition of archers and the return of Lightning which was missing in the 2nd series. Not sure about the addition of fast clicking to get rid of trees and bubbles that suddenly appear as it's difficult enough without this. If you have not tried these games before then I would start with the first one Defense of Greece as to me that is easier than the next 2 but that is just my opinion. This is harder than most tower defense games but that is what makes it more enjoyable. I always build up damage to 10 first then bring the others up to max. I find that works for me but experiment as there are so many ways to do this. Show less

The battles are quite challenging without being impossible. I bought this game and have played for hours.
The instructions aren't real clear, but if you've played TD games before it's not hard to figure out how to upgrade, etc.
Tower defense games are few and far between, so this was a welcome addition to my game collection.

I recommend this game!

Sometimes unpredictable how to set up towers or use power-ups or both of these. That makes game play a lot more interesting! There is bosses that also gives additional hardness to levels. Worth playing!

I love tower defense games. This is probably my favorite of the (so far) three games in this series: Greece, Egypt, and Britain. I found it to be hard, but not too hard. For me it struck just the right balance between fun and challenge. It gives me something to shoot for, and if you are patient, you can build up enough strength to defeat the more difficult levels without getting stuck. I'm a Tower Defense Fan because I love the strategy of figuring out which weapons to buy and where to place them. I love the thrill and the slight sense of panic you feel when the enemy starts to approach the castle, fort or whatever you are tasked with defending. Defense of Roman Britain however, just didn't do it for me, the graphics are really good, but the music is a bit intense, and and overbearing. The language translation is poor, the features are slow to respond and clunky, and I didn't see a need to zoom in and out of the scene. I had to play in windowed mode because the icons were partially cut off on the right side. Once I selected the windowed mode, I had to exit the game and restart it before the windowed mode would execute.

The biggest reason I wasn't impressed is because there is too much going on to make it appealing. I've never liked the feature of dragging gears to upgrade weapons. Sometimes simplicity is warranted, like simply reading a list of available upgrades for each weapon with percentage based coverage.

Another turn off is that the weapons offered tell you nothing about them until after you purchase them, I'd prefer to know what a weapon is called, and what it does, so I can make an informed decision about which weapon should be placed in which tower..

Tower Defense games are far and few between, and I really wanted to be wowed by this game. Defense of Roman Britain is a good game, but for me, it wasn't an epic, gotta have it kind of game, enjoy! Show less

Can't get past the first level which is too bad because I love tower defense games! My computer has all the most current installs so I have no idea what the problem is
