Conquer the world, one little evil protozoa at a time. Meet Proto who is determined to be the most powerful entity in the universe. Help him get control by entering into animals, traveling through their bodies, and settling into their central nerve cords. Then it's on to the next poor victim, and ultimately the floating black cat. Travel through five chapters consisting of over 300 maps in Singularis, an action-style Arcade game.

Singularis is a strange game: you're basically a creature swimming thru maps, using your mouse and/or keyboard, in order to reach the portal to the next level. That's where the "simple" stops.

Singularis is a strange game: you're basically a creature swimming thru maps, using your mouse and/or keyboard, in order to reach the portal to the next level. That's where the "simple" stops.

Your creature will evolve and consume "creatures" and try to avoid or be harmed by other "creatures". You have a certain number of life points, and fortunately there are little healing blobs that restore your health while "nasties" reduce it.

It took me 13 minutes JUST to complete the TUTORIAL. Maybe I'm slow, but I really wasn't zipping thru the first few levels.

As I moved on to the level after the tutorial, things got more difficult... it's NOT a timed game, and it seems you have to be careful as you swim around in the massive map (which you can gauge by pressing the 'K' key); you have save "slots" that you can use by finding a "save" object within the level.

I have to say that, contrarily to my instincts, going at break neck speed does NOT work: you have to use little bursts of movement, wait, a few more bursts, wait, etc. especially since the screen only represents a tiny portion of the level and contains countless dead ends.

Perhaps this game requires more patience than a typical arcade game; it also requires some strategy to "lure" your enemies towards their destruction.

The graphics are average, but this game is more about patience in your movements so you're focusing on your "creature". Well thought out and has been added to my "wish list" for an upcoming purchase. Show less
