This game was refreshing. There was just some different things added that made it interesting. And very selfishly I must add that you get a lot for your money. It was nice and long. I appreciated that very much.

Hunting for a "beary" good game with a Nordic theme? Get out your battleaxes! This is Goldilocks Viking-style. You will find yourself entrapped in a rustic Norse world battling some he-man bears in this little Smorgasbord from the Games For Friends. It really makes me pine for the days of true he-men of Nordic stock! LOL
You play the adult son of Goldilocks, (a heroine to the fortress) who, in locating an artifact to stop the plague in the village, was decimated by bears. (See - there is punishment for unlawful entry and gorging yourself on porridge) Even in death, your mother haunts you with her presence, prodding you along to save your father and the woodland from those nasty bears! Having just graduated from the "Hunter's Academy," you are "loaded for bear" in search of those rascally bears who are after your father and out to destroy your village. Better watch out, however. You could become "beary" surprised in this game!
HERE ARE THE DETAILS:
LEVELS: Casual, (Sparkles) Advanced , Expert, Customized. They vary in time for hints and skips. There are 6 chapters.
GRAPHICS: Slightly grainy on my computer. Not the best
INVENTORY: Puzzle-like. Well done
PUZZLES: In the demo I encountered: A. Variation of a jigsaw with stained glass B. Tile puzzle involving portraits C. Matching items when clicking and uncovering tiles. However, be warned - the tiles move and the fireflies look very similar. D. Matching runes with symbols E. Matching animals with related items F. Unloosening knots in sequential order G. Key puzzle
HOP SCENES: In the demo I encountered: A. 2 instances of locating silhouette items in a storybook sequence. The second HOP scenes was also a sequence of puzzles.
EXTRA GOODIES: Extra goodies include wallpaper, games, mini-puzzles. Interactive map with active areas indicated. 29 Achievements Collect 34 runes which unlock 5 stories
EXTRA COMMENTS: Skol! Having blonde roots of a tall Swedish Viking heritage, I am so into this game. However, this is a nice, but not outstanding game. I became somewhat bored in playing this game. The graphics are not the best we have seen. The storyline seems to plod along like a big bumbling bear. There is really nothing special or unique about this game. It is a decent CE, but I will probably pass on this one. It just doesn't excite my interest. To pay homage to my Nordic heritage - I will purchase the SE of this game

I really enjoyed the demo of this game. Very new type of HOG and enchanting storyline. Not the most challenging, but then I only played the casual setting. I will definitely buy and try the expert version. Loved the graphics and the inventiveness of the designer of this game.
I recommend this game!

This game is created by 4 Friends Games - Bridge to Another World and Living Legend series.
The story is about an adult version of Goldilocks , which is already married and have a son which is the main protagonist in the game.This time Goldilocks not lost in the woods and don't mess up in the Bear House but she taken a precious stone from them! As a son , you have to know the truth about your mother doing and why bear attacking your village.But along the way you will encounter the bad old alchemist that once helped The Ice Queen.
First of all , the cutscene is really beautiful even not epic but it deliver the story more fast than other cutscene you ever seen, especially the 3D animation run smoothly and fast . The visual is Icy and cold with fantasy touch and also music is the main thing I like from this developer , there are really fit the Ice Queen Theme , even there are no longer Ice queen in the 3rd series. There full voice over and they are all top-notch.
The gameplay play a bit different in this 3rd installment , The HOS is few and there are more to interactive puzzle w/o skip or skip and adventure which is great to me. I don't play much HOS sometime, I get tired.So far I encountered a Silhouette Interactive HO scene and played it once but enjoyable as well , but surprisingly I search them in one of the item in inventory. The puzzles are easy especially w/o skip type and there are variety of theme just lack of instruction, the puzzle is mostly like assemble the stained glass. While the puzzle w/ skip is quite challenging which make the difficulty is balance but not original. Everything in this game has change especially the inventory design which is familiar to see, but simple and well done. There interactive map which is content your notes [you can play movie as well], achievements , and task. There is an amulet which allowed you to find MORPHING OBJECTS / RUNES and the Hint show direction. Of course , there 4 modes include custom.
The CE includes bonus gameplay , guide , wallpapers , concept arts , music , replayables Cutscene-Puzzles-HOS, Collections - unlock new story and gameplay [ more to puzzle] , and screensavers and achievements . hmmm...... What about that , huh? A Full package , right ?
OPTIONS :
Adjustable audio , widescreen support , change difficulties , toggle to full screen and custom cursor.
Overall , the game is highly recommended to me for all Living Legend Fans, as everything is great !! Anyway a 60 minutes demo is worth for me to play but it make me wanting more !!! Anyway I want to see more game from this developer in the near future. Show less

Different spin on Goldilocks story. Gamers who play through will understand storyline that is not evident just with demo.
Relaxing and enjoyable. A refreshing change from dark and somber. HOPS, music, cut scenes all top quality and creative. Especially liked the bear puzzle!
