A simple M3, power ups are quite good but those we know, bomb, hammer, brush, that complete their missions. Colorful, bright, and "happy" game.The only thing I desagreed is that I chose relax mode and there is a pendulum that limits your time, I like to play relaxed , but had to run...

I really like this game, and I hated to quit the demo to go buy it, because I was having fun.
The graphics are so beautiful and the music is pleasant. The power-ups are unique, like a paintbrush to change the color of pieces. It is timed, but you have a choice. I haven't played the relaxation mode yet. I have played quite a few levels so far and really enjoy it. This is not the average match-3 ...Show more

I'm confused as to why this game was reviewed so badly...I absolutely loved it!

It's a match-3 game where you match pretty items to release enough gold bars which slowly open presents. There are 9 presents in all, each very beautiful, and now and again you learn fun facts about gift giving. You also earn trophies. There are 9 presents in all, each very beautiful, and now and again you learn fun facts about gift giving. You also earn trophies. You can play timed or untimed plus they have an additional puzzle game. I played timed adventure all the way to the end and had no issues. You will accumulate 8 different items to help you through (hammers, bombs, dynamite, etc.) and by the end of the game I still had tons of helper items left over. I especially loved the hissing sound when you melted the ice! Show less

This Amazing Gift is an impossible challenge disguised as a (not too obviously) Christmas themed Match 3 Game, which can be enjoyed in timed mode or relaxed mode at any time of the year. The match 3 panels are delightful to look at and surrounded by lavish gifts and ribbons scissors jewels buttons and bows. So far, they have been relatively easy. I admit I have only played a dozen, having gotten lost in the true beauty of this "game" which is the 50 "puzzles" that one can choose to try to solve one at a time or not. There is no walk through guide for the puzzles, no spelled out solution, just basic instructions and information (Clear the board by making matches of three or more). Either you solve them yourself, or you don't. My only complaints are that you have to solve the first to have access to the second, the second to have access to the third and so on, which means I may be trapped at puzzle 21 forever, which is where I have been for a long while now, and that once you have completely solved a puzzle, you no longer have access to that puzzle, getting sent to the next puzzle up, instead, and these get more and more challenging. I just wish I had access to all of them at once and could choose which one I wanted to work on at any given time, in order to actually figure out how they work and achieve some sort of mastery that I can actually hold on to, in between each separate puzzle, on into the rest of my life. How quickly they disappear and I never really know how well, or whether or not, I knew what I was doing when I did it. I am pretty sure I have never seen puzzle 22, though I have climbed from one to 21, a few times, now. Show less

I almost groaned as soon as I saw the Graphics & heard some of the music - I thought oh no this is a game I have had for years & BF has renamed it without telling us. I hate that!
But I was pleasantly surprised & relieved that it was a modern version of H Gift & more visually appealing, although the Gems etc are still the same.

With the 3 game options the music was different - thank goodness - same orig. music in the bonus game though! The Bonus game confused me a little as it seemed to go on & on, but I was collecting hammers with each success.
I also gained all my trophies 1/2 way through the Demo, so don't know what happens after that.
I decided to use a credit to buy the game as I enjoyed it & the music better than Hol. Gift Show less

This is an Ok Match 3 game with good graphics and effects etc., but has some drawbacks.
The very first part of the tutorial says you can drag your mouse over two adjacent tiles to swap them, but I immediately found this not to be so. You actually have to click on each tile separately to swap them. This was major drawback number one, which was quickly followed by drawback number two...you can't ...Show more

This is an Ok Match 3 game with good graphics and effects etc., but has some drawbacks.

You actually have to click on each tile separately to swap them. This was major drawback number one, which was quickly followed by drawback number two...you can't swap tiles whilst others are still falling.
I did not continue any further, as both of these are deal-breakers foe me. I expect these aspects to be standard in all Match 3 games now. Two and a half stars. Show less

Either this Christmas themed Match 3 game is an early gift from BF, or it's left over from last year! There aren't any unique features available, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there were a few things I wasn't thrilled with in this game that inclined me to give the game three stars instead of four or five. I hated the music, it is repetitive and annoying, and the gem tiles are very bland, and unappealing. The music I can always turn off, but the gems are basic, and not colorful at all which made it difficult to identify them when trapped inside the frozen icy tiles. I can deal with both of those things, but I got annoyed with the sluggish movement of the tiles. At times it's difficult to drag one tile to it's destination, I found that clicking the tile I wanted to move and then clicking on the tile I wanted to swap it with was easier than trying to drag the tile into place, but that was just as slow. To make matters worse, you cannot match ANY tiles if your last move caused a chain reaction, until all chain reaction matches are complete! You can choose to play in Relaxed mode with no timer, or Adventure mode which is timed and has somewhat of a story. There are 11 Trophies to earn, but they are quickly earned within the first few levels, in fact I earned 7 Trophies within the one hour demo!

Every level requires you to collect or remove all gold tiles on the board by making matches on top of them, some tiles are blocked with stone, wood or even ice etc; that require multiple matches on or near them. There is a Totem Pole on the right side of the board that raises as you make large matches or several matches quickly, when it reaches the top, you will receive extra points, and this action will repeat itself within the same level, as long as you continue matching quickly. The bonuses are earned by making matches underneath the bonus icon until it falls off the board, you can have several bonuses in each level, and you have several of each bonus because they carry over to the next levels. There is a Hammer that can be used to destroy a single tile of your choice, an Hour Glass Timer that will add 30 seconds to your Timer, a Re-Coloring bonus that re-colors a group of 6 tiles and a Bomb that destroys a 9 square area of your choice. (there are more bonuses available as you progress)

There are several games in each level, and when the entire level is completed, you play a Mini Game that progresses in difficulty. At least in the demo, the mini games are the same kind, matching two identical gem symbols by flipping over two cards at a time, you start out with only four cards to memorize, and each game thereafter adds two more cards to the board. The gems to match in the card memorization game, are the same gems that are in the Match 3 game. Get your Christmas spirit on and give it a try. Show less

My main concern is that, while beautiful, the items don't slide. It takes two separate clicks to swap instead of the less labor-intense single click drag. I enjoyed the trial if only for the lovely presents and decorations.

I don't recommend this game.
