When I first saw this, I thought "hmmm... yet another soft release, rushed through for a holiday". I decided to give it a try anyway. The Queen needs her garden planted in a spooky theme and you are requested to help! So, I got to work.

When I first saw this, I thought "hmmm... yet another soft release, rushed through for a holiday". I decided to give it a try anyway. The Queen needs her garden planted in a spooky theme and you are requested to help! So, I got to work.

GRAPHICS: 4.5 out of 5. Good graphics. Crisp and clear. The backgrounds for the M3 scenes are hand-drawn and seem to be a bit rushed to me. The rest of it is excellent.

SOUND: 2 out of 5. Okay, I admit it. I'm not a fan of high-pitched sounds. They give me an earache, especially when under headphones. The music contains the classic whine of most haunted house music. If you know what a theramin is, you know what I mean. (Classic Star Trek theme if you don't.) There are sliders for adjusting the music and the effects, but you kind of need the music to really give it a feel for Halloween. So I just turned it down to a bearable level. It is also rather repetitive, IMHO.

GAMEPLAY: 5 out of 5. Excellent tutorial (hint mode) that can be turned on and off. There are boxes to click for windowed play plus another couple of options including relaxed, very relaxed, timed modes. You can play fast or slow with this game.

FUN FACTOR: 5 out of 5. I thought I would play for a couple of minutes and drop off a fast review that it was just average. I got sucked into it hard once I started playing. You get to design the garden however you want. That's a huge plus for the artist in me! As you progress, you earn coins and gems for buying everything you need to make the garden come alive, both in daytime and at night. As you gain experience levels, you unlock more and more plants and features for your garden. This made the game fun and exciting to me.

OVERALL: 16.5 out of 20. Definite thumbs up! As always, try before you buy, but this is a cute little gem of a game if you love Match-3 and the artistry of designing your own spooky Halloween garden. Ahem... for the Queen, of course. Enjoy! :) Show less

Great Game ! Loved the spooky music and the scary noises when you pop a coloured tile or break chains. I played on 'piece of cake' mode so no pressure just 100% enjoyment.

I found it best to play several games on the trot to build up plenty of coins to buy lots of things for the garden in one hit. As you go further into the game it seems to take longer to build up a store of money and not long to ...Show more

it's fun and easy and pleasant love the music. And it's even got a great relaxing game play or hard play it's your chose.

Great game! I love Queen's Garden II. This game has all of the same features, plus new plants, bridges and Halloween accessories.

It can be a never-ending game! I played to the max, and am trying to decide if I want to make a mac daddy garden or stick with the Halloween theme. Hmmm....

I like that they threw some red in and some new plants.

This is a great building game, you can wipe out pathways and water without penalty and move plants around at will.

There is no story, and I don't mind at all.

If you like building games, give this a whirl just in time for Halloween!

What a great game! This game offers so much more in a Match 3 format. I especially love being able to view the garden at night and in this version, with all the torches and lighted pumpkins, it is really fantastic. Also, in this game, the gardening and Halloween products cost much more but the super matches (4,5+) are more frequent and those bats are too cool. This game has spoiled me. The regular ...Show more

What a great game! This game offers so much more in a Match 3 format. The regular Queen's garden 2 game is kind of boring now that I've played the Halloween version. Beautiful graphics, nice music and a whole lot of fun being able to design a spooky garden as you play the match three game. Lots of Halloween items to choose from when you are designing your garden giving you a game that won't ever get boring. Play it through and make a different garden every time! The match three gives you different challenges and the option of the relax mode. Love this game!

Since I’ve been playing match 3 games for years, I can say with confidence this is one of my favorite Halloween games of all time. It is also a LONG game!
In this M3 you decorate a garden with all different Halloween decorations. You can change the scene from night to day and watch your little costumed trick or treaters walk the paths of your garden. The gardens glow, in the night setting with all the different items you buy with your match 3 currency. There are jack-O-lanterns, tombstones, water fountains, and black cats with glowing eyes. Tons of items to buy and change or add to your scenes. Everything about this game works! Get ready to invest some time. Clear colorful graphics and planning your mansion's gardens make this game an all time favorite of mine. This game is very addicting!

I’ve listed some other Halloween match 3 games that are super similar to this one that I also adored here at BFG:

1. Jewel Match: Twilight
~You get wallpapers in the SE of JM- Twilight and decorate a scene for Halloween.
2. Halloween City of Witches
~You decorate a haunted house with currency through matching

A really fun Match 3 game where you earn money to buy plants and ornaments to build the Queen's garden. Match 4/5 items and you earn bats which remove all of one item.
Love the nighttime garden - a player can change from day to night. As you build paths people walk round the garden - at night they are ghosts and in Halloween costumes.

I recommend this game!

I've recently begun dipping my toes in the M3 game pool. This game is the perfect one for me and, fortunately, there are 2 other Queen's Garden games to play after I finish my Halloween garden.

There are 3 different modes to play in - timed, relaxed and limited moves. I play in relaxed mode as I don't want the angst of playing against a clock nor do I feel like counting moves. There are other fishies who want these options though and it's great that this 1 game has all 3.

The artwork is Halloween cute so good for the all members of the family-oldest to youngest.

Sound is also appropriately Halloween. I keep the music down very low so it's barely background sound. Something I particularly enjoy is the game sounds as matches are made - whistles, pops, Halloween howls, etc - they are so fun to listen to and they don't seem to get old and I've been playing for lots of sessions over the last week or so.

Another aspect of this game I am enjoying immensely is designing my garden. As we start the game we have a large square area that is fenced in and has nothing inside it that will become our garden. As we play the game we accrue game $ that we spend in the 'store' on various items used to decorate our gardens. These items become available a little at a time as we level up and come in 3 categories - Garden (plants); Manmade (lights, garden furniture, etc) and Halloween (pumpkins, scarecrows, Halloween minutiae). We can also see our gardens in daytime or nighttime modes so, if we have lights in our gardens, they really illuminate in nighttime mode.

There is not 1 thing I dislike about Queen's Garden: Halloween and highly recommend you try it and see what I mean. Show less

I love, love this game especially since you can have several gardens at once. I have all of the Queen's garden games. My other favorite is Q G Sakura Season (beautiful trees and 4 really cool shaped ponds). Now if we could get another holiday, like maybe Christmas, I would buy that one too.
