Margie Nolan is a writer who joins her father, Arthur, debunking haunted locations. Today they are investigating the Heart Island Estate which has been abandoned since 1904, or so they think! If these walls could talk....well no need for that, Luisa Heart has a ghostly story to tell, a story of deceit and murder, and of course love.
I loved the angle this story perseus, ghost hunters with a level head, rationally trying to explain the unexplainable, even when there is no reasonable explanation. No ghost hunter would be credible without a Paranormal Detector, whenever you see paranormal activity, you search the room through the viewer to find the symbol shown which exposes the source, naturally. There are Plus Signs on many of the inventory items, requiring some type of interaction before they can be used, and there are plenty of Achievements to earn as well. Each scene has a Collectible Hidden Heart to find, some of which are well hidden, others in plain sight.
The Hidden Object Scenes are all about the same, usually with two different layers, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Interactive List Finds and Multiples of a single Item Finds, followed by replacing some items back into the scene. The only thing I was truly disappointed in was that most of the scenes are repeated a second time, however, each HOP has a Morphing Object to find for an extra challenge.
The Mini Games are decent, but nothing new, below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Rearrange tokens to create an image.
2) Click on groups of eyeballs until all are closed.
3) Drag the bars horizontally or vertically to free all four corners (Blocks)
4) Swap accessories on three different color coded dresses to complete ensemble.
5) Click on the correct buttons as shown in a mirror image, then move tokens into the circles of matching colors.
6) Move telescope viewer up, down, and side to side to focus and find image shown.
7) Untangle ropes then undo all carabiners, clicking on one affects others.
This Collector's Edition has 42 Collectible Hidden Hearts, 24 Achievements, 19 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 23 replayable Mini Games, 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, Character Bios, 6 Music Soundtracks, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! Show less

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME, BONUS AND EXTRAS
This game is definitely worth putting in your collection. There is:
* Voiceovers (with dialogue);
* Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes;
* 15 Achievements;
* Interactive map;
* Find 42 hearts throughout game and bonus.
The graphics are lovely - very colourful, yet clear and well defined. At the beginning when they stepped into the foyer of the mansion, I realised I had the same rug!!!
The music is orchestral which plays quietly in the background. There is one song which is sung by a singer, but I'll let you discover where that is.
The hidden object games are brilliant which you play twice. The first one is interactive silhouette and the next is straightforward. These had a great challenge and I enjoyed every one of them. There is one morphing object per HOP which morphs quite slowly, so keep an eye out (or two) because they had quite a challenge to them.
The mini-games ranged from medium to hard and some of these took me a long time to do. But I wasn't going to let them beat me, so I persevered and slowly nutted my way through them. I really enjoyed them and there were a few I hadn't seen before, so well done devs.
There are 42 hearts to find in the game and bonus. A hand DOES NOT come over these, so there is a good challenge to find them all. If you don't want to do them all at once or move on and forget about them, then you can do them later in the Extras.
I only managed to get 11 of the 15 Achievements. Some were find 5 objects in 5 seconds, 10 objects in 10 seconds (yep, never gonna happen), etc. There are also globes down the bottom which are ghosts you met during the game.
I never used the interactive map because you pretty much stay around the same area until everything is done. There is hardly any backtracking, so there was no need to use it.
All up the game, bonus and extras took me about 9 hours or so. I really enjoyed the bonus game.
There is a lot to do in this game and there is plenty of action. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't want it to end.
Happy playing fishies. Show less

Awesome job by the devs on this one. Absolutely creepy. The VO's are awesome and the one thing that's really cool is the pictures even have VO's which is a first. Awesome job by the devs on this one. Absolutely creepy. The VO's are awesome and the one thing that's really cool is the pictures even have VO's which is a first. The collectibles in the game are hearts and morphs. The morphs only appear in H0S's which I like as it makes it easier to keep track of. The only gadget is an electric device. It glows when you should use it, and when you do use it you need to find the picture in the top right corner of the screen. There's 4 modes. I use Custom.
Story: Your invited to a ball Luisa's honor to raise money to fund for research to find cures for different poisons. When you get there, Jesse believes there are real ghost, while Margie's father thinks there is a logical explanation for everything. Dad's never change. Then as they are debating, Luisa's ghost flies past them and they're still debating is it real or is it Memorex. Then in the next room Jesse gets snagged by these steel arms so you're on the hunt for him. Meanwhile, you and dad end up in a room that appears to be a big clock, and after the puzzle is solved, dad holds the lever while you get out, door shuts behind you and now you have to get dad as well. Also you find and interesting note from the butler about Bertram, wht was his role? (Awesome story and very intriguing. Looking forward to the rest).
Graphics: Beautifully done. Really makes the game nice and spooky and makes you jump more :)
Music: Not overpowering when something happens which I like. The music adds to the ambiance of the game.
H0S: I found two types so far. One: Use an item to get another item, and the list with the extra step words.
Mini Games: Put a mini puzzle together to open a door, put the right items on 3 dresses, put the colored buttons on their matching colored circles, sand put the picture together by sliding the pieces into their correct spots.
Map: It has the exclamation points telling you you have something to do here, it shows where you are and the objectives. It's a jump map.
Hints: Recharge time zero. (which is definitely a first). The hints work really well both in and out of H0S's. Though I don't use them for the H0S since I like to do the achievements.
All in all this is one awesome game! Kudos to the team. I highly recommend this game. Show less

CE bling includes collectible hearts in each scene, not always obvious and no changing cursor, (yippee!) and morphs in the HO scenes. The HOs themselves are nicely different, part interactive, some lists, some silhouettes and interesting to play. Puzzles have varied from the easy to the head-scratching without being too frustrating. I really want to know how the story will unfold and I'm really enjoying playing it. What more needs to be said? This game is fun! There is a lot of things going on all the time, and I have only played for 20 mins. of the trial. They promised
ghosts and you get them! Plus some surprises! Graphics are very good and the storyline so far is fun! There are morphing objects in the HOPs and even though the mini games so far are easy, they don't make me want to pull my hair out! Enjoy!

Tales of Terror Estate of the Heart is an awesome ghost story and a game that captures my heart after a string of so, so follow the dot games. Estate of the Heart begins as a trio who investigates paranormal activity is about to embark on their newest venture at Heart’s Estate, a mansion that has been abandoned since 1904. Jesse is all over this story as he knows that it will make a great addition to the book he is writing, and then there is Arthur who is always looking for a logical explanation. Margie seems to have a lot of patience with her dad’s down to earth attitude while at the same time supporting Jesse in his endeavors. The Heart Estate certainly looks creepy and it has been widely reported that anyone who enters the estate is never seen again but that doesn’t seem to worry our intrepid team as they begin their adventure. Of course, being a ghost story, it isn’t long before things start happening and before too long, you are left on your own to save the others.
The game has top-notch graphics that are colorful and crisp with none of those misty washed out scenes that we see in some ghostly games. Another thing that is excellent with Estate of the Heart is the realistic, voiceovers. The voices actually have some emotion and are not the usual flat “reading from a script” voices we normally encounter. The entire sound package sets the stage for a ghostly tale of terror. The modes of gameplay include the custom mode so you can set up the game for how you like to play. And yes, we have the magic number of five chapters plus the bonus chapter in the CE version of the game.
Your tools include an interactive map that is found early in the game and a device that detects electromagnetic energy. Fortunately there is no furry pet helper in sight to ruin a great ghostly tale!
Estate of the Heart includes various types of interactive HOPs and I love them. Some items we will find by silhouette and others by list but all of the scenes are interactive with some more so than others. The HOPS in this game are well-crafted and vary in style. There is a hidden surprise to find in each HOP scene so look closely at everything. The mini-games, although not over the top difficult, are a bit tricky. One of the first ones took a bit of fiddling with the movable pieces to get everything in the right spot.
Although the CE version of the game includes collectible hearts and secret gems hidden throughout the game, the remainder of the CE content is fairly standard. There is nothing over-the-top exceptional included in the mix so it becomes a matter of preference when deciding between the CE of SE versions of the game.
I LOVE this game. I like the storyline and the gameplay. I had a couple of jump-scare moments that got the adrenaline pumping and those are what make a ghostly game terrific. Tales of Terror Estate of the Heart is a game I have been eagerly awaiting and when I saw that it would be released this week I was doing my happy dance. Even though the game was an instant buy for me, as always, please try the demo to see if this is a game you will like. Show less

Try it first, give it some time in the trial, as it does improve. The story line is very interesting and makes you curious as to how it will turn out. I played with the sound off so can't say anything about that. Hope you like it. I am going back to finish it now. Show less

This is one of the best games I've seen in a long, long time. There's a good story, great graphics, challenging puzzles...it's just what I like in a game. The best part - just when I thought the game was over, it wasn't - there was still nearly HALF the game left. It's a long game, worth the purchase. Thank you developers. Great job!
