One big Kudos to this team. This to me, this could of easily been a CE. It has everything but the collectibles. And I don't miss those. Don't see the point in them. I played the first one again in the series, and have to say I was getting bored. But I still went ahead and tried this one. I am totally impressed. One big Kudos to this team. This to me, this could of easily been a CE. It has everything but the collectibles. And I don't miss those. Don't see the point in them. I played the first one again in the series, and have to say I was getting bored. But I still went ahead and tried this one. I am totally impressed. This team cares about their games and listens to the people. No more sparkling journal, and the VO's are superbly done. This series got a total revamp, and I bought it after 4 minutes of play lol. One fun thing in the game is the little lab your given. You'll be given different formulas through out the game to mix in your little lab. Also note that you will get dialog to pick. Be sure to pick out the one you think is right because it does affect the outcome of the game.

Story: Our detective (and awesome main character) gets a call from the sheriff saying he needs help in solving the case of 15 girls that gone missing. He tells you to meet him at the hotel. You go to the hotel and a very nice receptionist asks you if you want a room, or see the sheriff. Go up to the room and see the sheriff. After the conversation, you two decide to work together. You see some strange evil woman lurking around dropping notes. Your on the case to find out who she is as well. Awesome story.

H0GS: I played I think only two so far and they were both lists with extra step words. I love the way they put the H0GS as it is not heavy at all into them. I've been doing a lot more investigating than H0GS.

Graphics: Gorgeous. Everything in this game looks so real. Right down to the leaves lol.

Music: Really nice music and totally goes along with the game. Even when something exciting happens, the music doesn't boom out all of a sudden.

Mini Games: So far I played only two. First one put the tiles in ascending order using the dial. They did this one good. You don't have to turn the tiles, it does it for you. The second one I played was put the zodiac signs in the correct line. You have 3 zodiac symbols on the side and you have to put the 5 matching one in vertical order. Another is turn all the blue hexagons to get a complete picture.

Map: Pink jewel-no action, Blue jewel-you are here and Green jewel-action. It is a jump map.

Hint System: This is one awesome hint button. Not only does it show you what you have to do in a scene, it will show you by animation what you have to do. Example: I had to collect a reagent for the lab. It showed me to pick up the eyedropper and where to pick up the reagent.

Again guys. Superior game. I highly recommend this game. Show less

This isI loved this game! a very fun game to play, it make you feel like you are in real life investigation and you are a real detective, and whatever you doing in this game its always interesting. Videos always intriguing and you always expect what will happen next. I recommend this game!

Fifteen young women have vanished mysteriously (because the disappearance of 15 old women isn't that interesting) from Wilshere Idenburg. There's no evidence, none, nada, zilch, and the local sheriff, Aiden Wood, is stumped. He has asked for help from a well known Private Investigator, Joan Veiburn, to help him find some type of lead to stop this madness.

This is a really good game for the price, the graphics are decent, not phenomenal, and it is a fairly easy game to play. You are equipped with a Mini Lab that allows you to collect ingredients with your dropper, as well as analyze substances and make chemical compounds to help you with your investigation. Altogether, you will collect 14 different ingredients as well as the necessary formula recipes. Each recipe requires you to choose the symbol coded vials and mix them in the correct order to produce compounds such as solvent or antifreeze.

The Hidden Object Scenes are a little "old school" all of them are simple Interactive List Finds, but the scenes are not repeated, and some objects are pretty well hidden.

The Mini Games are doable, and uncomplicated, below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

1) Drag numbered disks to line them in ascending order using a turntable to switch the tokens.

2) Move the tokens to form horizontal rows of identical symbols where indicated.

3) Click hexagons to rotate them to form a complete image relevant to the center hexagon.

4) Take the ball from the stand and put it on top of one of 3 different color coded flasks to line up the correct color coded balls into each flask.

I thought the storyline was a little better in the first Mountain Trap game, but this is an entertaining game, especially for the price offered, enjoy! Show less

The slightly interactive hidden object games had a good challenge and I enjoyed them. You will do most of these twice. There were no teeny tiny items, however some were hard to find.

There were a good variety of mini-games. Some of these were rotating tiles to get in the right order, turning on all the lights, matching pairs, etc. The books in the library took me ages to do.

The interactive map works well if you need it. However, you pretty much finish all tasks before you move on to the next location. It also tells you where tasks are to do if you get stuck where to go.

Keep an eye on the diary because it has useful information in there to carry on.

You have a box with a mini-lab in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. As you go through the game you will collect formula cards. You will also have a dropper to use to collect liquid, acid, etc to place in the mini-lab. When you have all the necessary ingredients then the formula card will show what liquids to use. This is all easy and straightforward - just do it in the right sequence or you have to start again. I enjoyed doing these and they don't take much throught process.

All up the game took me a good 6 hours to do playing on Expert mode and not skipping or hinting anything. So good value for money.

Overall, a terrific game and well worth playing. Go and have a looksie - I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
