I would give this game 5 stars but for the too juvenile graphics. It has 160 levels, and gets quite challenging by level 20 or so.

I would give this game 5 stars but for the too juvenile graphics. It has 160 levels, and gets quite challenging by level 20 or so.
This is a limited moves game. There is no timer, and I would strongly suggest not playing it too fast, because it very quickly becomes a strategy game. I consider myself a very good player at untimed match-3 games, but have yet to conquer 2 of the first 70 levels. When you get something like 40 moves to get rid of over a hundred tiles, while new obstacles are popping up, it is definitely necessary to play the level more than once before a winning strategy develops.
I do like the fact that levels can be temporarily skipped after more than 3 tries, and played again later, without progress stopping. Some people will find some levels very difficult, while others will think of a good solution quickly. You do have to wait for the end of the cascades before being able to make another move, but this is necessary in a strategy game, as there are no moves to spare.
In spite of the kids and candy theme, I strongly recommend this game for good match-3 players who are not speed addicts, or who have physical barriers to fast play. And in spite of the graphics, I don't recommend it for young kids. It gets too hard too fast. Show less

Match 3 games are one of my favorites and it's hard to find challenging ones. This one looked a bit childish but figured I'd give it a try. It reminds me a lot of Gummy Drop. The music is ok, the graphics are very well done. It gets tricky around the 5th level but you start earning power ups to help. I enjoyed it and will probably purchase it. If you like Gummy Drop, you will like this. It's a Match 3 where you get so many moves per level, of course I haven't gotten too far into it so that may change. I think I'm on about level 6. If you are a Match 3 fan, and a Gummy Drop fan, give this a trial run. Show less

This Match 3 game is definitely designed for the youngsters swimming in the pond, and its a knockoff of the popular gummies series. To be honest, its not that bad once you get past the cutesy storyline and turn off the repetitive lullaby music. The goal is to make matches of at least 3 jellies, and this can be horizontally, vertically or diagonally. This is a limited moves type match 3, if you fail to break all goal tiles, you will have to replay the level, but it does give you the option of skipping the level and continuing, allowing you to replay the level at a later time.
Large matches will earn bonuses on the board that are color specific, when you include the bonus in a match it will destroy tiles in the direction the arrow shows. Eventually you unlock bonuses that can be used once the meter refills. As you progress you will come across obstacles such as Frozen Jellies, and my favorite feature was the rotating board, every few seconds, an entire square row rotates clockwise which presents a really fun challenge.
In my opinion, this games storyline is geared towards younger kids, but the Match 3 game itself presents enough of a challenge to keep an adults interest if you like limited moves type Match 3. Show less

It appears that Alissa isn’t missing at all and she joins us on our quest as we enter candy match land.
Yummy Dreams seems to be geared towards the kiddies in the family as it is a very simple match 3 type game that tries to continue the trend of the “Candy” types of games already on the market. Perhaps it is just me but I am really tired of these dime a dozen candy games. One of the things that I dislike in a game is when right off the bat I am asked to enter my name but then have to backspace or erase “player” before doing so. IMHO, it looks like a lack of expertise when a game is not programmed to clear that field automatically as I start typing. Sorry but that bugs me and I see no need for it to happen.
As we play the game we soon notice the similarities to the other candy type games where we must complete the levels in a certain amount of moves. I for one have seen enough of these copycat games to satisfy my sweet tooth for many years to come. In the end, there is just not anything that would stimulate my interest enough to play through the first few levels. For those of you who have young children or grandchildren at home, Yummy Dreams would be a nice game to keep them occupied for at least a few minutes. As for me, I am not interested. Please try the demo because Yummy Dreams might be the sweet game for you Show less

Here we go with another android game dreaming of being a real PC game.

At first glance, this game should be only for kids; the graphics, the cutsey rabbit, etc., says only kids would enjoy this game.

At first glance, this game should be only for kids; the graphics, the cutsey rabbit, etc., says only kids would enjoy this game.
But, then the adult things are thrown in; tiles must be cleared in X-number of moves, powerups are available by matching specific types of tiles, etc. I made it to the 6th or 7th location, in the first of 8 chapters, and it appeared that the more tiles that needed to be cleared, the fewer moves were available.
Then there are special tiles that clear a row/column, a couple of other ones that I never could figure out what they were used for or how to set them off, and a special "angle" move that was a little unusual. The game really needs a "how to play" section.
The board is really busy, with lots of flashing tiles for one reason or another. Suggested moves come very quickly, too quickly for an adult trying to strategize the next, best move. And the suggested moves almost always pointed to moves that did not clear a tile, so were misleading. They also flashed.
The background for the tiles that need to be cleared is blue, a shade lighter than the backgrounds of all the other tiles. I spent a lot of time looking for them and it was very frustrating. They flashed also, but with such a dim light that all the other flashing tiles almost completely hid them. They should have been some stand-out color that could be easily seen. This was the biggest factor for me in deciding my rating for the game.
I don't think kids could play this game very long without adult help, and I think adults would find this game tedious at best. So is it for adults or kids? I don't know and neither does the game. Show less
I don't recommend this game.

It isn't the first time I have come across a mediocre matching game and it won't be the last because I don't like limited moves, the music and the graphics. If there was such a thing as a 0 star rating I would have used it on this one
