Meow Mr. Jenkins! Here is another game with our beloved cat and his partner in crime (even though she's a detective), Leia Gofford. This is by far my all time favorite series. Meow Mr. Jenkins! Here is another game with our beloved cat and his partner in crime (even though she's a detective), Leia Gofford. This is by far my all time favorite series. The team Mr. Jenkins and Leia Gofford can't be beat. Mr. Jenkins is just as funny in this one. This cat should get a gold medal just for some of things Leia needs him to do. The story is really intriguing, and the game itself is really fun.
Story: The camera was originally designed by a man named Gerard Dewitt, and Leia and Morganna are invited to the museum by Edgar Munch to see the Lumina camera and find out why people disappear when their pictures are taken with the camera. What appears so far is that this red ghost named 'Z' has a lot to do with it. It appears he put some kind of hex on the camera. What I'm seeing so far is that Leia is sent to the negative world, and of course 'Z' is there and tells Leia that she won't be returning to the real world. And so the story goes.
Music: Beautiful music to accompany you while on your journey. I just love it.
Graphics: Beautiful graphics. Quite a few pastels. I just stop for a short bit to just look. Truly enjoyable.
Mini Games: There is a nice variety of mini games. All original and made strictly for this game. What I love about this team's mini games, is that they make you think, but doesn't get frustrating in the least. I haven't had the need to look at the strategy guide to be able to solve one. This team's mini games are just fun.
H0GS: There's a nice variety here too. Find each of two objects to get a list, silhouettes, along with some others. Truly enjoyable.
Map: Has the exclamation point symbol telling you there is something for you to do there. It is a jump map.
I will be getting back to the game. I highly recommend this game. Kudos to the team for a job superbly done. Show less

I found this game to go along nicely.Glad I read a blog first that the morphs are small so I could find them. Someone said their cat was a bother. Mine does not make a sound until I get him to do something. Love the graphics, and quiet music. I do recommend this game.

Second, I really like the story line and don't find it confusing or boring but to each his or her own. I really like games that take place in the picturesque past which is the case here.
I also really like the background music... new but fitting the location and setting of the game.
In short, I haven't found anything in this game not to like - 5 stars all the way. Now if only I could get my cat to do helpful chores like Mr. Jenkins... Show less

I'm impressed with the flow, the concept, pretty much the whole package. Daily Magic, you did a wonderful job! My only minor gripe is the morphing objects--not because I can't find them but it's because I'm so engrossed in this game that I'm forgetting to search for them. If I find them, fine! If not, no big deal! That won't make or break my opinion about this game. My rating for this game a 4.95 stars.
The storyline is intriguing to me. There are loads of fun things to do; and, again, the flow happens to be right up my alley. Some of the puzzles are easy and some are tedious and some require patience. I'm not crazy about rotating circles to complete an image. It's boring to me. A lot of games offer those. I don't always have the patience to complete them, so I skip them! It's as simple as that.
Mr. Jenkins, the cat, is going above and beyond the call of duty, and he happens to be one of my favorite helpers. Just follow the paw!
The map and hint button are great; you have a guide. A very well-organized game.
The artwork is magnificent--clear, crisp and lovely. The scenery is captivating. The music is beautiful. The sound effects are right on! The voiceovers are good considering that some of the accents were a bit off. The dialogue was slower than normal with some of the actors but the voices went well with the characters, aside from some of the off-beat accents.
I really love this game. Again, Daily Magic, way to go! You've sold me! I'm looking forward to playing more, exciting games by you! I definitely recommend this game! Show less

Mr.Jenkins is simply hilarious. When he goes over to the puddle of water and starts playing in it, this was so funny. Plus the time he's climbing on top of a box of suitcases and ends up falling. All you have to do is watch him (he sits on the bottom left-hand side of the inventory bar) and he's always doing something 'cat-like'.
What I didn't like was the way the young girl spoke, moved, and acted. She moved rather strangely, almost between a robot and a puppet. She also didn't appear very life-like. Other than that I enjoyed what I've played so far.
One thing that I initially found difficult is bringing the people out of the camera. You have a camera that the evil red-misted ghost "Z" has possessed. Once he has taken a picture of someone, they get lost within their own picture. You then have to take the picture and place it EXACTLY where it was taken. When trying to extract poor Mr. Jenkins from the camera, I had a very difficult time placing his photo 'just right'. After that, I was able to it with little difficulty.
Surprisingly, the mini-games that I encountered so far, provided a nice challenge without being too difficult, and I don't like puzzles or mini-games if they are too difficult.
I find this game very exciting so far, with a great storyline, and I can't wait to get back to it. Please check out the demo. It may be something that you won't regret. Show less

Gerald Dewitt was kicked to the curb and told he lacked talent and his inventions were worthless. As Gerald contemplates his life's work worthiness, a stranger hands him a camera and tells him that his inventions will be limitless, but the time will come when the stranger returns to collect his dues. Gerald's camera does become famous, but for all the wrong reasons, the Lumina Camera captures peoples souls and traps them in the negative world. Leia Gofford and Mr. Jenkins have been asked to scrutinize the camera before the museum put it on display, to be sure that the camera is safe for the public, but the Lumina Camera is not safe, it's most definitely an Ominous Object!

My Jenkins is the star of the show, once again, using his four paws to investigate like no human could ever do, and soaring to heights (gently of course) of epic proportions to reach those items that somehow manage to find their way to the top of some really weird places. Equipped with your newest Ominous Object Camera, you will take pictures, and match photos to their original origins, the only way to break free from the cameras grasp is to align the photo with the victims inside to the exact place the photo was taken. There are 15 Collectible Photos located throughout the game and each scene has a Morphing Object, some of which are very difficult to find which leads me to believe that the game is non-linear and may require an action elsewhere's to activate the morph. There are also plenty of Achievements to earn in this Collector's Edition.

The Hidden Object Scenes are decent, and include smaller Zoom Zone puzzles where you find fragments that match the silhouetted shapes shown in the scene outside of the zoom zone. There are Multiple Finds, Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Matching Pair Finds and even Fragment Finds. You can opt to play a Match 3 game instead of the Hidden Object Scenes.

The Mini Games vary in terms of difficulty, most are doable and entertaining. The following are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

1) Create a patch for the coin to travel from left to right selecting reels to move them.

2) Restore the picture using arrows to rotate the pieces.

3) Restore the photo by swapping tokens and using blue arrows on either side of the frame to make other tokens available.

4) Move the red block to the right, blocks can only be moved in the direction they are facing.

5) Create a path for the bird latch to travel through, by selecting and dragging deadbolts with the red circles to move them, moving one deadbolt affects others.

6) Move the figures so that their hand are touching.

7) Move the camera through all of the buildings within 7 moves.

8) Recreate the ship from the picture using arrows to cycle through your options.

This Collector's Edition has 42 Morphing Objects, 15 Collectible Photos, 6 levels of Dots games, 4 Music Soundtracks, 8 Concept Art photos, 7 Developers Diary photos, 6 Wallpapers, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

The one thing that bothered me was that one of the character's (Leisha?) hair kept moving
as if she were underwater. I'm sure it was to add a bit of movement to the character when she was speaking, but it was really distracting. Maybe it will turn out she's Medusa! lol

A camera that shoots you into a negative universe with a sinister red 'guy', if you should have the unlucky misfortune of having your picture taken with it. The reason remains unknown, at least for the demo. The graphics were pretty good and the puzzles were relatively quick and easy. The demo was easy going, just a nice flow. It does leave you with a feeling of empathy for the characters and a desire to see how it all ends. I am particularly grateful that the music did not blast me out of my chair and make me have to turn it down in the options, which is usually what I have to do. I would say this is a pretty good choice for beginners and even intermediate players. Experts may not find it challenging enough. Show less
