Finally, a normal game of solitaire. I don't know about you, but I hate the matching Mahjong style of solitaire, so this is a nice Halloween treat. You get to choose from 9 Halloween themed card backgrounds and there are three different face card styles.

Finally, a normal game of solitaire. I don't know about you, but I hate the matching Mahjong style of solitaire, so this is a nice Halloween treat. You get to choose from 9 Halloween themed card backgrounds and there are three different face card styles.

There are two modes of difficulty, Newby and Pro, you can switch to Pro after you play the first game in the tutorial. The only difference between the two difficulties is that Newby allows you to replay any level and Pro only allows you to replay the entire pack.

The object of this game is to try and create chains of cards by placing cards either one higher or lower than the deck card shown regardless of suit. If you are able to remove all of the gold cards you will automatically win that game even if there are normal cards left on the board. Some cards have a jack-o-lantern which indicates that it is a Bonus Card that treat you with extra points, shuffles, jokers etc. Another feature I liked is that there is a tab next to the deck that tells how many cards remain in the deck. I don't recall last year's game having that feature but I like knowing how close I am to the end of the deck.

There are three bonuses available in the shop, a Mulligan which allows you to undo any last action including using your bonus, a Joker which changes any open card to a joker which is a wild card, and a Shuffle icon to put all cards back in the deck and deal new cards. There are 120 levels, and you can earn 20 different trophies for completing various tasks or achievements and trophies to earn, enjoy! Show less

I've played this game over and over under other pseudonyms but always have the same problem with Level 6 of the Witch's House. It is totally impossible to get without being a mind reader. They only give you 16 moves, but you have far too many cards to complete the level. Even if you only have one gold card left to uncover, there are so many on top of it, you don't have enough moves to remove them. ...Show more

I've played this game over and over under other pseudonyms but always have the same problem with Level 6 of the Witch's House. It is totally impossible to get without being a mind reader. You can go to the next levels, but you'll always have that one level undone, so I just keep on changing my name to start over. Love the game other than that one (which is to me) is a glitch.
To the person who wanted to know about instructions, the main idea is to reach and remove all the upside down cards that are "gold" color. They are the ones to aim for to win. Good luck with that, because I've had to go back many times to replay the level until I figure out how to best get the gold cards. Show less

A great game to play while watching your favorite scary movies!

Unfortunately, I couldn't rate it 5 stars. After the first seven levels, there was some sort of glitch that made it grab 2 cards instead of 1 and it was really affecting my game. It was fun up until then, though! Show less

There are several problems with this game. First of all you are often given far too few cards to even have a hope of getting to all the 'special' cards. Second in many levels if you don't get to all the special cards on nearly every section you cannot advance until you replay and manage to accumulate enough special cards. I love solitaire games and have purchased many from BFG and enjoy them. This game, however, is frustrating. I've read the instructions on how to play but can't for the life of me figure out how to progress to the next level. Is it a TRICK?? It's certainly no TREAT!

I enjoy solitaire games from beginner to expert levels. This game, even on newbie level, is frustrating with never ending useless cards that pop up.
For me this game is not worth my time.
