Jewel Match games are quickly becoming my favorite Match 3 games, and this one has such an interesting story!. Jewel Match games are quickly becoming my favorite Match 3 games, and this one has such an interesting story!. The graphics are stunning in all of the Jewel match games, and there's so much to do that it's extremely entertaining. You can play on a Timed Mode, a Limited Moves Mode or a Relaxed Mode. Each level has several "rooms" to complete, when one room is cleared, you click on the arrows to visit the next room. If you have time remaining after completing a level, you can either continue or go to the previous levels and search for bonus items. I don't know of any other Match 3 that has this feature. The coins and amulets you earn are used to build your castle which can be set at anytime for your wallpaper. Stars are used to purchase extra's for your castle such as trees or decorations.

Matches of 4 will earn you a Rainbow tile that can be matched with any tiles, matches of 5 tiles or more awards you with a Royal Arrow that clears rows, columns and diagonal lines. The object is to clear all gold cells by making matches over the gold cells. Some items require you to make matches under the items such as keys or amulets until they fall off the board. Coins that appear can be clicked on but they will disappear eventually, and bags of coins must be dropped off the board.

Some tiles are blocked with crates, chains, double chains, ice, or dark fog, requiring matches next to them or of the same type of tile contained within. There are Safe Tiles that require a specific number of matches to break as displayed inside. You earn a new life every 50,000 points and are given the option to use one of your lives for extra time shortly before the timer runs out. This is a fantastic Match 3 game, with a fantastic storyline, enjoy! Show less

I can remember beta testing this game. When I first saw that it was a Match 3 game, I was prepared for the usual. However, this one surprised me.

First of all, the Match 3 board isn't just on one screen. It moves around. That was definitely new for me. secondly, there are keys that you have to free to unlock parts of the board. Once a board is completed, you have a bonus board that you have the option to complete.

Each time you complete a certain level, you earn game currency to purchases upgrades to a castle for your character.

And that brings me to the story line. You play a young man who is a childhood friend of the princess. However, as an adult, because you were born a commoner, you are unable to marry her. So, you go off to war and amass riches. You come back, and you have to prove your worth to the queen before she allows you to marry her daughter.

The visual quality for me was an excellent one. The graphics were great on my system, and the scenes were rich in color. As far as the sound goes, the music wasn't too different that what you would hear from other games that feature royalty.

I do believe the game is a lengthy one because I don't recall ever finishing the demo during beta testing.

Overall, this game is a definite buy for me, and I highly recommend it to those who are fans of this game genre. Show less

I've been hooked on this series for years and I've replayed all of them several times. They're visually gorgeous and I find the game play very relaxing. I was lucky enough to beta this one and I've been looking forward to its release. Definite buy for me.

It's hard not to love this game at first sight when it greets you with such a gorgeous scene. It has 3 game modes relaxed, timed and moves limited of which my favorite is time limited. I love making lots of matches, fast, and this game stays true to its predecessors in that levels are huge and matches plentiful. The difficulty is fine, I found myself trading lives every now and then but every seasoned m3 player should manage getting to the end without being driven up the wall or bored.

Finally tutorials can be turned off at the start of the game, the story may be skipped by pressing esc and one can focus on the gameplay. It comes with a full walk-through and strategy guide. Some people complained about the music but I personally loved it.

This is, hands down, one of the best match 3 games the pond has ever seen. The only downside is that it makes you dig deeper in your pocket but at the length it provides I'd say it's worth the extra buck. Show less

this is one of the best match 3 I have all of them and they just get better all the time... wish they would make more match 3 for us then all the dang hidden object every day.............. game is worth a buy....

Love the story. Challenge level is good, not stressful. I did find the explore the garden part too difficult. You have the option for static ornaments and turning off automatic scrolling. I admit that I prefer relax mode. So much to do, build a castle, beautify the outside if you want to, collect coins, powerups, etc. I immediately bought this game after demo ended.

I like this series and this one is another great addition. The tiles are crisp and colorful and I like the floating screen. It is quite challenging since I like to play timed mode. Much to collect in the extras, such as bonus Mahjong etc. You can spend your money to build up the castles.
A very good, never boring match 3

What a great game, and wonderful story line! I've been waiting a long time for another really good match 3 game, and this certainly fits the bill. So many levels, and you get to build castles and decorate the lawns with birds, animals, statues, flowers, etc. After each level you visit the garden to collect stars and gold, which is what you buy the lawn items with. It also has bonus games you can play between levels if you like, it's Mahjong levels. You can win things there, too. I skipped the Mahjong and I was still able to get all the stars and gold I needed As I said, the story line is so cool; just the kind of story that I really like. Whomever came up with this story did a marvelous job. I haven't seen one quite like it in other match 3 games. And would you believe that I'm playing it for the second time? I am! This is a game that I no doubt will play many times. Great pick BF! Show less
