It is said that only a pure Dragon soul can defeat the Demon Lord, one battle at a time.

I love battle type Match 3 games because it gives the Match 3 game a purpose, a reason to make matches strategically. Along your path, you will be challenged by the Demon Lords minions, such as the Hellhound, the Dark Dragon, the Centaur, the Dark Minotaur, the Twin Drake and the Fire Mage. To battle your enemies you will need to strategically match Fire tiles, Ice tiles, and Battle Axes to attack them. Matching Paw Prints will give your pet dragon (I'll explain him in a moment) the ability to protect you, the Sorceress. Winged shoes will boost your experience, which helps you to level up and become more powerful. After your every move, the enemy get a turn, and once the mana meters are full you can launch the attack, as can your opponent.

When you find an egg along your path, you will receive a new Dragon pet which can protect you during the battles. When you come across a Chest, you will play a Mini Game of sorts that allows you to to choose a tile to upgrade, you get a specific amount of tries to click on the rotating key when it is inside the yellow dot. Some of your opponents are resistant to some attacks, such as fire or ice, but because you aren't resistant to those attacks, it may still be a good idea to match them on your turn to prevent the enemy from gaining access to them. If you fail to beat your opponent, you will have to repeat the level until you do.

Quest of the Dragon Soul presents a nice challenge without being ridiculously difficult, or far too simplistic. If you like battle type Match 3 games, this one is well worthy of purchasing, enjoy! Show less

Wow! What a great spin on the usual match-3 games. This one will keep me challenged for quite a while, I can see after playing for only 15 minutes. All I can say is, if you like match-3, this one is for you.

The first time I tried the game after I bought it after playing the demo, I thought I had made a mistake. But the further into it you get the more challenge and strategy are involved, making it a truly unique battle game. A nice twist on match three games. Highly recommend it!

I bought this game as a 'daily special' and have not stopped playing it. It is another great Match 3 game with a difference. I bought this game as a 'daily special' and have not stopped playing it. It is another great Match 3 game with a difference. The newest feature is an icon that changes the configuration of the board if you are "stuck". Just for fun I have used this several times during a level, The storyline is interesting but the ending is disappointing. I would have liked more of the heroines family story to be told at the end. This is not a game where you can plan your next move as every time you match 4 you create an exploding sequence that eventually you end up with a board full that explode when you least expect it to as you activate something else that causes a chain reaction further up and everything comes crashing down, so just go with it and enjoy the randomness. This game is one where you cannot lose. The game gives you the exact tile you need to complete the move., Boards are small so easy to finish. Collect supplies to unlock bonuses, dig for resources, fight monsters and find the differences. The HO games are too easy but I found them to be a light relief. Overall I am thoroughly enjoying this game and will probably go on to finish my second round of 200 levels. Show less

I have been waiting for the next installment of PuzzleQuest, possibly my favorite game. If you like that, then this might get you through until it is released. The game is a LOT dependent on how the playing field lands. It wasn't the most exciting, challenging M3 I've played but better than many recently offered. I had to repeat a few levels because I didn't defeat the dragon the first time around and I really appreciate not being allowed to spend as long as I liked to complete a level without ever 'dying'. There has to be some challenge to an M3 or I just find it too boring to play for very long. That said, in the demo, I didn't find any level very difficult to complete. I did have to keep reminding myself at first to keep an eye on the levels in my opponent's weapons bars too, not just my own. Since I wasn't asked to enter a player name, I assume only one person can play the game at a time and that can be a drawback if someone in your household also wants to play the game before you complete it.

If you're a fan of M3 games, I recommend that you at least give the demo a try and see for yourself. M3 fans don't always share the same tastes in story, gameplay, etc. but I liked this one well enough to purchase. Show less

I downloaded this thinking it was a match 3..well I guess you could call it that. It was mostly matching 3 weapons to beat an opponent. As you travel through the game board you basically pick a fight with a dragon or whatever and a match 3 board comes up that is really just trying to win against the opponent. Got really boring so I didn't even finish the demo.

one fights monsters..i play a lot of match 3 so think i am ok...first couple of monsters easy then very hard..i am used to that..do not mind playing some over again even 3x but then the next and next hard...can not figure out why losing,,not real clear..no walk through...no strategy guide...would not recommend this game....

I don't mind a challenge but fighting the same enemy over and over and over and over and over and over.... you get the idea. Add to that the fact that there are no instructions as far as strength or what the boosts do or anything else for that matter and this makes for one very frustrating game. Sorry; unless they can do some upgrades to this I will be uninstalling very soon! Can't recommend at all. Show less
