Love that you can click on one of the numbers down the side or across the top to change the colour without having to go all the way over to the right to choose your colour.

Remember when you're counting to not include an extra 1 when the numbers are different colours as there may or may not be a blank between numbers of different colours.

It's not all about counting though, sometimes you can see straight away where particular colour blocks can go. If down the side you have a red 5 then look to your columns to see if there are five columns in a row with a red number in them. You can most likely fill in at least 1 and sometimes all 5.

If there is any row with only one colour then look to your columns to see if there are any without that colour and you can then eliminate (right click) the corresponding square.

If you normally like this kind of game then persevere and give it a good try, you will more than likely end up really enjoying it. Show less

I purchased this game and I am a little over halfway through. It's great to have a TRUE nonogram-type of game that really requires thought and logic. Other games I have played have bored me because we are often left with obvious choices to boringly fill in...not this game. I purchased this game and I am a little over halfway through. It's great to have a TRUE nonogram-type of game that really requires thought and logic. Other games I have played have bored me because we are often left with obvious choices to boringly fill in...not this game. You must use logic pretty much to the end of each puzzle and the further you get in the game, the more deliciously difficult the puzzles get.

One suggestion for the devs: Because these puzzles require time to complete (thank you for that), it would be helpful if we could save a game when we need to exit. I can only play this when I know I'm going to have a block of time so I don't end up losing all of my work because I have to log out. Otherwise, this game is a 5-star all the way for me.

Thanks for a great challenge. Hope to see more like this for the Mac. Show less

I ended up purchasing this game after spending the entire 60 minutes of the demo solving puzzles. At first, I too was stymied by my assumption that this game was like the penguin one. However, this one is much more difficult than that one because you aren't given the boxes that each color will be placed in (which can make the penguin ones VERY easy to finish, IMHO). Instead, each line or column will have numbers in each of 3 different colors and it's up to you to determine just where those colors are to be filled in on each column or line.

What helps you fill in the colors is a bit of logic. For example, if the leftmost column shows only numbers in red and the bottom 5 lines shows the leftmost number in green, than you know that you can "x" out those boxes since you would only be able to start the line with a red color. In addition, if two numbers in the same color are listed next to each other, there will obviously be at least one "space" between those colors.

In this way, you can gradually fill in the lines and columns until you have a complete picture.

Since I can complete the penguin puzzles in 3-8 minutes each, I found these puzzles much more satisfying as they could take upwards of 20 minutes to an hour to finish.

If you enjoy this type of game, be sure to give this one a try if you want a more challenging experience than usual. Show less

Like Wolf stories this game is much more difficult than the run of the mill mosaic. You are given all the colors at once. However, a noticeable improvement over wolf stories is the filling in by white of the absolute dead squares. I loved the challenge of wolf stories and this game with it's improvements is even better. Finally a game of logic (in France, one calls such games of "Logimage") that changes the ordinary. It is a very catchy game.
Just colors that could be more vivid and contrasting, less dull.
But no matter, it's exciting !

It's about time. This game is HOURS of game play. No guessing at all. Total logic. If you want the same old games that take about 5 minutes per nonogram, this is definitely not for you. You have to think, but what FUN! I've been waiting for a game like this for a long time. Thanks to this developer!

I love this game. We need more of this type. It is difficult at times, but that is part of what makes it good. BF has had one other one like this, Nonograms, Wolf's Story. Need more by the same company please.

I love these nonogram type of games. I look for them every time I'm on Big Fish, and never seem to tire of them. That said, I am also rather a princess when it comes to playing them. I like the game to fill in all the empty spaces on a line when I have found all the filled spaces. I like logic to have a say in where the filled spots are, and not have to depend on hints to get me through the level. This game didn't fail me on those requirements.

As in other nonogram games, this one has different colors. I like to have the various colors because it helps eliminate the empty spots. If I can't find the filled areas on one color, I just go to another color until I fill in enough places to allow me to use logic to fill in the more difficult ones. (I don't like to guess.) I've pretty much gotten used to this method of playing these games, and find myself a little frustrated when I go back and play some of the earlier one-color games. In this game, though, having multiple colors on each level is not the same as in other games. In other games, when you see a series of numbers for a specific line, that means there are empty spaces between the filled-in spots. Not so with this game. It could mean that the next spot is another color. For example, if a 15-square line shows 4-5-2-3, my first thought was "Hold up. That's 17 spaces on this line and I only have 15 to work with." They are different colors, so the rule of empty space between numbers doesn't apply. The numbers add up to 14. There is an empty space in this line, but who knows where it is. You have to work the other lines perpendicular to this one to find the empty space. It's not a bad choice for the game developer, because it makes the player have to think in a different way. Healthy for us old folks.

It takes some getting used to, especially if you've been playing the other nonogram games. I had to start over a number of times because I assumed an empty spot came in after I had filled in the appropriate number of filled spots. That gave me an X, and it doesn't take more than a few of those to make the game tell you that you've made too many mistakes and have to start over.

Eventually I caught on, and I was able to finish the levels without too many mistakes. It keeps me on my toes!

There are a good number of levels to this game, which is a plus for players like me who sometimes marathon play and run out of games before I am bored with it.

The graphics are good, and the story line is fun. Show less
