PENGUIN GRIDDLERS IN THE FOREST, IT DOESN'T GET ANY MORE MAGICAL THAN THIS!

Those jet setting penguins are off on another crazy adventure, to visit a magical Forest! There's never a dull moment when the penguins are on the move, so pack your griddler bags, it's time to explore, penguin style!

As usual Fantasy Mosaics 23 has 6 different color bubbles to work with, some of which are new, one of which reminds me of bubble gum. You can switch between the color bubbles to help you solve these colorful griddlers, and you can earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes.. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.

This is a griddler or mosaic type puzzle game (japanese crossword) where you fill in and cross off cells on various sized grids, using logic, so you'll never have to guess. (unlike some griddler games) They aren't easy puzzles to solve at times, but I love the challenge. If you are new to mosaic games, I suggest trying one of the earlier versions of Fantasy Mosaics. There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to figure out where numbers can't possibly fit to reduce the amount of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit. Some cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed or an extra pickaxe which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on. There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.

The one feature that makes Fantasy Mosaics stand out from the rest of the griddler games, is the vibrant array of colors available, and now there's six different colors used to make the pictures even better. In this version, I think the pictures are really interesting, and I really love the way the colors pop. It can also help you solve the puzzle when you get stuck, because you can switch to another color which ultimately narrows down the available cells. Unlike many griddler games, these pictures actually make sense, because they have six different colors you know what image you have created.

This is my favorite Mosaic Griddler series and is one of the best mosaic griddlers available, and certainly one of the most colorful. This is a must have game for griddler geeks and an immediate purchase for this geek. I'm looking forward to my adventure into the magical forest, enjoy Show less

Haven't played but 1 game in the Forest so far, but the music is what I love to hear and these Penguin games are my favorites!! What a way to relax, exercise my brain and play my favorite games!! There are plenty of puzzles--100. And there is a lot of replay as I don't remember the puzzles. I don't go back to play the earlier games because I like having the six colors and look forward to when they bring us eight-color and ten-color puzzles.

When I have other things to do, I will just play one or a block of five puzzles and then go do other stuff. These are great and will spoil you away from other mosaic games--guaranteed. Show less

OVERVIEW: What a wonderful Monday surprise! Join our Penguin family on an adventure through an enchanted forest, enjoying the magic of griddler puzzles. A BIG THANK you to BFG for offering a game in one of my favorite genres. This is another excellent 5-star game from Match Gems. I have been anxiously awaiting this latest entry from the series to appear on BFG. I have played every game in the series and this game is designed exactly like the others.

I LOVE these games and Match Gems is one of the BEST developers for this type of game. This puzzle has many different names (AKA O’Ekaki, Griddlers, Paint-by-Numbers, Pic-a-Pix, Nonograms or whatever you call them); however, no matter the name, they are a fun puzzle game.

HOW TO PLAY: This is variety of a Sudoku puzzle. In this puzzle, create pictures by filling in squares in a grid. The grids in this game will vary in size. Each side of the grid will have numbers for each line of squares indicating the number of squares which are to be filled in for that row of squares. Squares are filled in where the squares intersect between the two sets of numbers on each side.

GAME FACTS:

• Levels: Casual and Advanced.
• Colors: The game has up to six colored screens which can be switched at any time while playing the puzzle.
• Autofill: There is autofill so you do not have to fill in the unused boxes. However, you can use your mouse to right click “X’s” for unused spaces.
• Hints: Hints are given as you proceed and are based on the difficulty of the puzzle and how well you perform in solving the grid
• Number of Levels and Puzzles: There are 100 puzzles – 20 levels with 5 puzzles per level in the game.
• Aids: You have a pickax as an aid in the game
• Awards: There are 3 trophies: a gold trophy for no mistakes, a silver trophy for 1 mistake, and a bronze trophy for two mistakes. If you make 3 mistakes, you must start the game over again.
• Collectibles. When you complete one level of 5 puzzles, you receive an item to place in your garden.

I highly recommend this game if you like Sudoku games or any type of mathematical puzzle. Show less

I played all 100 levels in advanced mode - no mistakes nor hints and on just one level (3-4) I had to use a power up. On four levels I had to guess, but the situations were so obvious that no problem in guessing correctly. So, a big improvement on this section as well.
Oh, and I loved to play with the animals in the garden, especially the bull was loveable and why not the raccoon, too.
So, congratulations developers! I'm already waiting for the next version! Show less

The penguins are back, and furnishing their forest! Some new beautiful colors this time. Still don't have the 'hammer' option for Mac users, but it's rare to get stuck, as these puzzles are logically solvable. Love this series of mosaics. I have all of them and replay regularly. Keep 'em coming!!

Was disappointed having purchased no 22.This one I got past the "games get harder" level. They didn't. Won't be buying any more until they can make , or allow, more challenging puzzles.

I don't recommend this game.
