My review is based on the demo only. I like this game. The HOPAs are interactive which to me is a big plus. Especially not having to go through a bunch of junk to just come up with the one object you need to continue. The mini games are quite different but not difficult at all. The story line held my interest and of course the demo ends as a cliff hanger.....so now... I must buy this game to find ...Show more

I love Elefun games, I can only think of one game they did that I didn't enjoy, and it wasn't this one. This game was awesome!

Although this is yet another game with disappearing townsfolk! This game managed to capture my attention with a fascinating backstory and great characters. The storytelling in The Last Will is impressive and by using the hidden object scenes and puzzles to advance the story, it was able to absorb me right into the game and its fantasy world.
The flow was perfect, the colors and graphics were fantastic, the games and hidden object scenes were fun, the music was appropriate for the scenes it was just marvelous!
It did find it to be a little on the shorter side from previous games by Elefun or it could be I was finally having so much fun that the time just whizzed by.
I highly recommend this game! Show less

Dangerous artifacts paralyzing townspeople. Will I be able to find them all and save the town.

Exciting game. Great storyline. Really got into it. This game was not short of something to do. Beautifully crafted scenes, interesting hidden objects and puzzles. Graphics throughout the story were well developed.

It is not that the story line isn't familiar, it is, but there are many twists to the plot, and the dialogue is specific to each action. Always, I look to the storyline, and this game is yet another great game from this developer. The graphics are superb, which I have come to know from this developer who is if not the best, then among the best of all. The realism is stunning. Thank you, EleFun.

The music fits the tension in the game and I enjoyed listening to in every scene. I believe another reviewer commented on the subtlety of the humor, and I appreciated that as well.

The hidden object scenes and the mini games are also intertwined with the plot, which is what I think makes such a good story. Sometimes, we carried a bit of inventory with us but mostly, it was obvious what each task was and how to accomplish it. I don't mind doing a bit of hunting for a basic object, and I thought the hidden object scenes were innovative. I enjoyed each one. The mini games we're also a unique take on the usual game. I think that's what I enjoyed about this game the most. It is refreshing.

Great HO and puzzle game. Great story line. Even offers the option to switch from HO at times. Skip can be used if the puzzles are too hard but I found some easy and the rest about right. Worth the money!

a great game that can be played in different levels. great hint system. i played on casual and hints only took a small amount of time to recharge. you are looking into a mystery about a house and the fact that strange things are happening because of it. it was lived in for many years until the last descendent (sp?) of the original owner passed?

I like the premise of this series; supernatural types of antiques. It reminds me of the series Ominous Objects. This game has several haunted objects that you must deactivate with a special inventory item called The Keeper’s Device. All of the mini-games associated with it are simple, but are not repeated. Too bad there isn’t a place to save & re-read the articles, brochures and picked up notes, because Elefun does this best of all the developers here, in my opinion. Those little reactive items you see in the demo (objects you touch in a scene that move or change), stop at the demo and sadly aren’t seen anymore past chapter 2.I actually notice and appreciate little details like this when they are in a game.

Clear graphics are super important to me. In its windowed state, it’s set up for a 15” computer, so I did notice the graphics degraded a bit on a large monitor. Some kind of filter is used in much of the game, especially in the bonus play that “greys/washes” out the scene. I wasn't a fan of that filter at all. Unfortunately, the scenes don’t have much depth because of that and the entire game is played at night, tending to give it an almost blah feeling. I noticed the graphics in Chapter 6 were even worse. They were the more hand drawn type, not crisp & without depth.
Also, I really wish they wouldn’t change the mouse icon into a hand as you mouse over the collectibles. They are way too easy to locate. At least the morphs ARE in the main scenes and not the HOS so that was a definite plus.

MUSIC- The music is beautifully done. Several tracks are haunting, with violins. I was impressed enough that I noticed Alexey Archipov is responsible for the music (and if he ever sees this…., you should be SO proud of yourself!) They are tracks you actually want the CE content for.

FUNNY HAPPENINGS: In Chapter 3 the TV in the living room tells me to get out, or get lost and as I progress into the kitchen the door freezes over and a note appears in the misted glass “you’ll stay”. So I got a chuckle out of that. Also, in chapter 6 there is a large dog blocking the entrance to the front door in the location called “yard”. He looks and moves so strangely, I swear he has some type of addiction. He has the strangest teeth. My character is so disarmed by his appearance, I guess, that she actually steals a dinosaur bone from the nearby museum and feeds it to this dog!

MG & HOS- The mini games throughout this game are really good. I took a little more time with this game because I actually wanted to complete them. They are more the game related type then dexterity logic. You can play an alternative “matching” game instead of the MG, but it’s actually Mahjong. There are not as many HOS in this game as mini games but they are varied. However, I feel the HOS are much too easy in the games coming out in this day and age, and I preferred when the objects were more hidden. Chap. 3 also has a great HOS in the vault where some of the items magnify as you pick them up for closer inspection. I would say this is my favorite chapter and has a few very pretty outdoor locations.

Instead of a journal/diary, there is only a task list so there is no way to review the story. I personally, don't use the task list, ever, especially if I have a strategy guide. The second you read a note in the game (for the most part) it disappears; so be sure to finish reading them before closing the secondary window.

If you are interested what the bonus play and bonus content is, for this title, I’ve done a more involved review under the CE version of this game.

I bought this game on its first day out and I’m glad I bought the CE. The bonus content was fun, you are actually rewarded for collecting the collections and the 3 screensavers that came with this CE title were great. Elefun gives them to you up front, so you can play the bonus content AS you are playing the game, and that is SUCH a huge decision maker for me whether or not to buy the CE version of any game.

Alexandra Anderson has taken over the family Antique Store. When Uncle Paul decided it was time to retire, he revealed a secret to his niece, that he had been keeping for years, the Antique Store was no ordinary Antique store! Uncle Paul has been a member of a secret society of Keepers (aren't they all?) whose mission is to sustain peace and life, by finding powerful artifacts that have supernatural powers. One of these supernatural artifacts has just shown up in the town of Netville, a camera that seemingly render the recipient of the picture invisible. Gone, gone, gone, the question is, where did it go, and how do you get it back?

This is the third game in the series, and things are looking up, because this storyline seems much more interesting than the last, but certainly not original. It's sometimes difficult to tell this game apart from Witches Legacy and Fear For Sale games because they all have the same graphics, collectibles and features, one of which is being able to interact with several items in each scene. The Collector's Edition version has Achievements to earn, 33 Morphing Objects, 33 Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces (to assemble 3 different Screensavers) and 36 Collectibles (why not 33?) The collectibles are available in 5 categories, and when you find all collectibles in a category, it will reveal plot-relevant information. In my opinion, this game is very CE worthy, so if you can, opt for the CE version, however, if you're not into all the CE bling, or tight on funds, this Standard Edition is perfectly fine.

The Hidden Object Scenes are basic but vary in type, and there's an alternate Matching game available on some of the 26 available HOP's. There are Progressive Interactive Silhouetted Shape finds, Interactive List finds and Keywords in Sentence finds, some of which have a small puzzle to solve. There are also Fragment finds whenever you are tasked with using the Keepers Tool, which seems to vary in type each of the 20 times you will use it during the game.

The Mini Games are kind of boring and simplistic, and they all seem similar to each other, which is one of the reasons I only gave this game 4 stars. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

1) Use directional arrows to slide puzzle strips to form the correct picture.

2) Find 5 artifact traces using the Keepers Tool to locate.

3) Shoot down the blimp by clicking when the lines cross over the targeted area.

4) Move disks along the lines and swap adjacent disks to restore the photo.

5) Select and place the missing items correctly onto the picture.

6) Swap pieces along the lines so that they match the photo.

7) Drag camera fragments correctly in place.

8) Select and place picture tiles correctly.

9) Remove roots that don't have other roots passing through them.

10) Restore the picture by swapping adjacent puzzle squares.
