This game if very interactive, just as other games, it can be fun and sometimes tedious. I've been playing HOS since they were only objects plastered all over the page, so I welcome most of these with good story lines. Just like other games, my hats off to those who have put these stories together and emerse in the graphics, mini games, etc. So regardless of the 'sad' reviews, this game really is enjoyable. Everyone plays for the different reasons, some love the difficult play for the challenge and endorphin rush, some like, myself love the challenge of games and putting my mind to work. I also share this with my grandchildren, and they learn to put things together, where as they normally wouldn't do in reall life, but now they think they can think better for themselves so this is good. Okay, I enjoyed it and had fun!! Show less

Long ago during the reign of Emperor Carven, war broke out between the Imperial Army and the Army of Dark Magicians. The Medico Imperium Order managed to suppress the Dark Magicians uprising but there were some who vowed to AVENGE the Order in the name of the fallen brethren! These are Dark Times in the Enchanted Kingdom and it's up to you as Imperial Healer of the Order to protect it's citizens from a strange venomous vengeful sorcerous named Amber. Amber vows to curse everyone in the Enchanted Kingdom with disease causing crystals. You’re a respected and honored healer who has been invited to the theatre, and once there, find there’s shenanigans going on. What should be a relaxing, rewarding time is one fraught with danger and intrigue.Your job as a healer is to find all the ingredients to create healing potions. You are also busy chasing angry Amber, whose fiery temper keeps you constantly at bay. Armed with a Healer's Kit which requires mixing potions, you must use this kit to cure afflicted characters in this spellbinding adventure. When you discover the history of the Dark Army and The Imperial Order your objectives are clear. You must locate the "Healing Heart" and join it with the "Crystal Lily" in an attempt to truly eradicate all known diseases from the Enchanted Kingdom. It's no easy task either, with Amber's intent to only do harm so she can resurrect the Dark Army. The legend speaks of combining the sword of Emperor Craven he broke when he separated the "Healing Heart" and the "Crystal Lily". Only you can solve this perplexing situation and restore health to the disease ridden Enchanted Kingdom. Will you be able to out-wit the malicious Sorceress Amber? Find the sword, the heart, the lily and you just might have a fighting chance. The ambiance is beautiful and the colors are rich and bright. Purples blend into blues, and deep jewel tones surround you. Dimly lit areas add a soft glow to each room, which creates a soothing atmosphere. This is a setting I would definitely love to be in, minus the bitter and angry sorceress. Domini games once again delivers a fantastic fairytale adventure in this continuing saga, which deserved the Editor's Choice Award! I hope casual gamers will immerse themselves in this latest installment. If you like fantasy style games and don’t mind taking your time, then check this one out! I also recommend Enchanted Kingdom: A Dark Seed Collector’s Edition too. Cheers! Show less

I did enjoy playing the game, even though there are a few holes in the story. Why...........no, I won't put any spoilers in. However, I do have to say that the ending is lacking. It just suddenly ends. I hate when they do that, give me some closure!
I recommend this game!

Sadly, I bought the CE version of this game because I needed a second game for a BOGO sale. There are 6 chapters worth of nothing special, so I will admit it has a nice length to it, but if those lengthy chapters have nothing interesting, nothing special to offer, who cares? At least the CE has collectible crystals, figurines and flowers (not to mention a gazillion notes spread haphazardly throughout the kingdom). If Enchanted Kingdom wants to make a name for itself, they are going to have to come up with less tedious tasks, and a storyline that isn't almost exactly the same as the game before. The first one was about a mysterious illness that was turning its victims into trees, and this one is about a mysterious illness that turns its victims into crystals, I'm quite sure number 3 will be about an illness that turns its victims into animals! Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either is right for you:
Hey, guess what, the very first inventory item I picked up was a can of oil! Not just any oil, this is the good stuff, the kind that not only instantly removes 30 years worth of corrosion, but somehow restores the item to it's former glory! (well, after all I am a healer)
The next item I discover is a bee fogger, and just in the nick of time too, because there's an angry mob of bees guarding THE very area I need to examine more closely (I live on 7 acres of land and have yet to come across an angry swarm of bees in a random place, yet they appear in nearly every game!)
Soon I discover a bottle of water and you know what that means, yep I found a shriveled up plant that looks as if it flatlined about a year ago, maybe longer. Guess what happens next? Ta Dah! I add just a dash of water and this prune of a plant goes through an amazing cellular molecular transformation, and the rejuvenated chloroplasts instantly begin the photosynthesis process. Just when I think I can't be more impressed, poof! In the blink of an eye, my beautiful plant blooms!
Pretty soon I find a Hilt, and it's a good thing because over yonder's a knife with no hilt, and you and I both know you can't remove a knife that's stuck in something without a handle. My only question is, if the hilt fell off in the first place, won't it fall off again when I give it a giant King Arthur tug? Did I hang onto the hilt for a while before discarding it in the next location?
There's a fireplace, I'm positive there's a very important object buried deep within it's fiery hot embers. Yes! I'm right, there IS indeed a puzzle piece I need, it's affirmative. Oh wait, I'm going to have to find an oven mitt, otherwise I'll burn my delicate Healer Hands. Oh, here's one, all's good, let me just carefully open the screen, careful now, it's HOT, very hot. Whew! rut row, an ember accidentally fell out, let me just pick that up with my UNgloved hand...got it?????
By now, I've done very little investigating and even less healing, because.....I've got to pick this lock with the hairpin I just found, I've got my priorities straight.
So now that we've completed all of the cliche and very predictable tasks, let's talk a little about the storyline. Clarissa Stark was supposed to be the star of the Dance Imperium show, but was fired by the boss Domenico for the treasonous act of using dark magic.Apparently, HR didn't get involved, innocent Clarissa meets her demise, leaving behind a bitter daughter named Amber. Amber Brown is not a crayon, but she does cry blue crystal tears. Being the fantastic healer you are, you agree to perform a ritual for Clarissa to help her weakened body reach the underworld. Clarissa assures us that she doesn't believe nor practice the art of dark magic as her mother before her did, so why is she willing to be ritualized by dark magic now? (I guess when you die, morals are less meaningful!)
The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly Interactive Silhouetted Shape finds, but there's also one that requires finding and replacing Keyword items correctly, and there is an alternate Match 3 game to play instead of the HOP's. The CE version has 17 replayable HOP's in the bonus section as well.
The Mini Games aren't bad, and most are available in either an Easy or Hard difficulty mode. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Swap articles of clothing between 4 mannequins, using the sign labels as a reference.
2) Use the Diagnosis Lens to examine the patient, and click on the affected areas. (okay, I'll admit this is a stupid game)
3) Position the dancers limbs to match the image shown.
4) Use directional arrows to move flowers to their matching spots. Some passes may be affected if you cross over the red spinners.
5) Trace the symbol without drawing over lines twice.
6) Place ritual items in the correct space by moving tokens to adjacent spots.
7) Prepare a potion in the Healer Kit by placing all items where you think they logically go, then click the button to test your arrangement. Correctly placed items will light up, but if any are wrong all items will be removed.
8) Paint the canvas using the picture as a reference.

A dancer, Clarissa, is arrested for the practice of Black Magic while in her dressing room at a theater. Her daughter, Amber, witnesses her mother's disgrace. Left poor and struggling, Clarissa dies, leaving Amber, still a small child, to be sent to a home.
Now, twenty years later, you as a valued agent of the Medico Imperium, have been given a special pass by your director to see a dress rehearsal of a theater group headed by the same manager, Domenico. You swoop in on your flying steed and enter the theater in time to see the troop's director, Domenico, infected with an illness that forms green crystals on his body. The person responsible, a young woman named Amber, throws a couple of threats at you and disappears through a door. Time to waste time!
Good stuff: There are various HOPs, mini-games and puzzles, overly colored artwork, music with volume extremes, and an empire to save.
Yes, that's right. To avenge Domenico's firing of her mother, after her arrest, Amber aims to destroy her world. Can we say: Overkill? Extreme? How about just plain crazy?
Bad stuff: You get to find a cure for each person infected with the crystal disease - a completely different potion for each victim that will have you running in circles to acquire the ingredients each time.
There will be all of the now standard/required "puzzles."
The smoker and the bee swarm are just the beginning.
Yes, I know this is a fantasy game, but there has to be some way to proceed, a method of working through the puzzles and problems to find the ending. When little to nothing makes sense and you spend most of your time scratching your head in confusion, logic has died and you are left playing this game!
It starts as you land outside the theater. Your bag has been tightly sewn shut! The only open pocket contains a bee smoker and your missing Healer's badge. Hand over the badge to the automaton at the door and proceed on your investigation - badge-less. Make a mental note to self: Next time, just lock the bag!
Eventually you'll pick up different versions of the same tool to solve problems, often in sequential scenes - a carpenter's hammer you carry around to headquarters and use to nail up a sagging hinge, followed minutes later by the reflex hammer you use to break the bottom of a giant hourglass.
There are a lot of "Say what?!" moments also: You find Amber's diary and in between the pages? An oven mitt.
Amber had written about the only thing she had from her mother - a music box with a figurine on top - at least it wasn't that oven mitt! You find the music box figurine encased in a solid glass box in the theater lobby. You have to break the glass to get the ballerina out. You then restore the dancer to the top of the music box - which is locked in Domenico's office.
There's more, but I'm just mean enough to suggest you play the demo.
So, before you commit to this new Enchanted Kingdom game, please play the Demo.

So I don't despise tales but i find this series very boring , i play this one to find out if it was better than A dark Seed, alas it is made of the same stuff. The healing kit is the same , many tasks to be done seem to be fillers to prolong gameplay time , few Hidden Objects scenes that are too easy , more mini-games but that are also (too) easy (better to be done with the 'Difficult' option) , uninteresting characters for a storyline that weights tons (well that's the way it makes me feel anyway) , no fun , no thrill , and not much inspiration. A game should be entertaining or edifying but this depressing although coloured game was just a waste of time and counterproductive for my good mood.
