At last! The latest installment of the beloved Cubis franchise is here! It’s a brand new world to explore and Cubis fans will recognize the famously unique, three dimensional gameplay, but with a whole new twist. This time around, every match counts! Make matches in order to collect precious elements required to restore the kingdom. Meet cute and helpful allies as you progress.

Are you up for an adventure? Cubis Kingdoms Collector's Edition provides three times the puzzling fun. First, enjoy dynamic levels where new cubes appear after each move creating a whole new kind of strategic play. Next, straighten your thinking cap for the puzzle challenge levels. Try to solve these puzzles before you run out of moves. Lastly, to advance to the next chapter, players must battle a pesky gargoyle “Boss” who curses the board as you match your way to victory.

Sound exciting? It is! Try it now and restore the Kingdom to its resplendent glory.
  • 6 Chapters, 150 levels, plus 50 Bonus levels
  • 7 cube colors each representing elements
  • 6 fun power ups to use

Cubis Kingdoms is a fantastic 3D Match 3 game that requires strategy to win. I love that I have to plan my moves carefully, so I don't get stacks and stacks of cubes filling up the board, until I run out of moves! Cubis Kingdoms is a fantastic 3D Match 3 game that requires strategy to win. I love that I have to plan my moves carefully, so I don't get stacks and stacks of cubes filling up the board, until I run out of moves! Even though I love the game, I don't love it enough to pay the Collector's Edition price. Sure 50 bonus levels are a plus, but other than Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, and Avatar pictures, nothing is offered that constitutes paying double the price, so I will wait patiently for the Standard Edition version to be released.
This is a Limited Moves type of Match 3 game that you play on a checkerboard, by shooting 3D cubes of 7 different colors, representing the 7 Elements. You can shoot the cube (and switch to the next cube if desired using the icon on the bottom right) from any column or row along the left and bottom sides, when at least 3 cubes of the same color collide, they will be removed. Cells that are highlighted, indicate that a new cube will appear there on the next turn, which can cause the cubes to stack upon one another if a cube lands on the highlighted cell without making a match.
The goal is to make a specific number of matches of specific colored cubes as shown, within a specific amount of moves. Once you have met the level goals, you can continue to make matches to clear the entire board, if you have enough moves remaining to do so. You can earn up to 3 Stars per level, and any level can be replayed. The gameplay is easy to figure out, but not so easy to master, especially when obstacles are added that can't be moved, such as Stone Blocks, Cats, Frost, Tar, Holes, and Portals! As you progress, however, Power-Ups are added such as Lightning Cubes, which will remove all cubes of the same color, once included within a match, Phoenix Eggs,Cube blasting Ermines, Turtle Shells to fill holes, and Raven Fire. (sounds epic doesn't it?)
If you clear all cubes from the board, you will earn a bottle of the Elixir of Life. Throughout the Level Map, there are Phoenix Icons, that will awaken by turning Orange once you have acquired enough Elements. To release the curse trapped within the Phoenix Totem, you will need to use the Elixir on the totem, which lifts the Dark Fog, and frees the animals and plants in that area of the map, and you can slightly interact with some of those animals too.

*Cubis Creatures *October 27-2013* 3,8 (Fresh Games)

This Collector's Edition version has 12 Wallpapers, 16 Concept Art Pictures, 10 Avatar pictures, 7 Music Soundtracks, and 50 Bonus Levels.
The previous Cubis games, if I'm not mistaken, were developed by FreshGames, but Cubis Kingdoms are developed by Boom Zap and iWin. I don't know why the developers changed, but they have successfully combined some new features, without ditching the standard favorites. If you don't mind paying twice as much just to get a few pictures and 50 more levels, or you just can't wait, gotta have it now, then this is a perfect fit. I however, am NOT impressed enough with the CE "extra's" to pay twice as much, so I will wait until the Standard Edition version is released before buying Cubis Kingdoms, enjoy! Show less

It's different. With this you really have to use your brain to clear the board. The more you play, the more you need strategy. I'm going to purchase it when or if becomes SE. I'm not keen with wallpapers

Love the Cubis adventure! Enjoy cubis but this is way fun. I very rarely do a game review, but just had to say how much I really love this game. It's challenging, but relaxing fun. Enjoy rebuilding the kingdom and seeing what animal or person or village will be restored next. So much fun!!! Please do another like this!!!!

The puzzles get more challenging as you go up in level but I enjoy the challenge, playing until my fingers bleed (just kidding). If I can't clear the board, get more than two stars, or just hit my frustration level, I move on to the next level. When my challenge button is pushed again, I always go back to those prior levels to get a better score. The rewards are endless in this game! Show less

Gargoyles have ravaged the kingdom, and its up to you to restore it to its former glory, region by region. In order to do so, you must gather the required elements for each region, as well as elixirs to transform statues and monuments.
BASIC GAMEPLAY
Cubis is a three-dimensional cross between Match-3 and Bubble Shooter. The game board is presented in an orthogonal viewpoint, and cubes may be "shot" onto the board from the two nearest sides of the board. Hitting a single cube will move it one space in its row or column; double (or more) cubes together will not move. Each level must be completed within the allotted moves.
GATHERING ELEMENTS
Each element is represented by a different color of cube, and each level has requirements for how many of each must be collected.
GATHERING ELIXIR
Once you've gathered the required numbers of elements, you have the opportunity to clear the board, which will earn you an elixir.
POWER-UPS & OBSTACLES
As the levels progress, obstacles will be added to the board, and power-ups will be offered to help overcome the obstacles. A cube sizzling with lightning will clear all cubes of its color when matched. Blocking stones can be removed by shooting a phoenix egg power-up along their row or column. There are 6 power-ups in total.
MOVING FORWARD
To complete each chapter and advance to the next, you must beat the Boss Level, in which a gargoyle will curse the board, adding obstacles to your goal. There are a total of six chapters which include 150 levels.
EXTRAS
The CE bling includes 50 bonus levels and the dev's portfolio: wallpapers, concept art, soundtracks, and avatars. I would wait for the SE, personally, but give the demo a try and see if it floats your boat. I think Cubis is a unique take on the Match-3/Bubble Shooter genre, and I enjoyed being challenged by having to think in three dimensions. Even the soundtrack is lovely, which is unusual for a puzzle game. Happy gaming!

This is more of a Kiddies game. I was hoping for a fun and challenging follow.up to Cubis and Cubis Gold 2 - what a disappointment. Arrived at level 20 and it seems they are all alike. Time for the trial game ran out and I will not be buying it.

There is a CUTE cartoon sequence at the beginning, and I could forgive that, but I liked the original Cubis and Cubis Gold because they were nice quiet games that I could lose myself in. Cubis Kingdoms wants me to stop playing with cubes and think about numbers of this or that cube, and watch cartoon sequences. Not to mention grandiose music, another intrusion. The colors and shapes of the cubes are less pleasing than in Cubis Gold. I suppose I could play this game with if I had to, but it's not what I was looking for. Show less
