The Nancy Drew Series -- that massive collection of very enigmatic games is, arguably, the best Collection in the Big Fish arsenal.

Having just finished "Danger by Design," I can state that it was intricate, challenging, and most puzzling, at times.

Ah! And Paris! The sights, the smells, the delicacies, the wine! "Tis a consummation devoutly to be wish'd."

But, back to "Danger." It was difficult and intricate, with many major blockades and brutal puzzles for Nancy to get past. It was well thought out by the developers and it was very cohesive in nature. And It was just so full of so many beautiful locales.

Of all the many, many Drew Games, I have only criticized two. The series should receive a gold medal, and I must say, in conclusion, that this series will go on and on, and will continue to bring us new mysteries for Nancy to solve. I doff my hat to Nancy, to the series, and to the developers.

I am content to let that be the last word. Show less

A good Nancy Drew game, not extremely long or complicated, but still quite challenging, especially towards the end.
Some reviews say it's boring - it's not! That just means they were stuck. If you're stuck in a Nancy Drew game, the game doesn't continue because you still need to "do" something before the storyline can continue.

I'm not a fashion bug, so I waited to play this game until I had played about every other Nancy Drew game available. But I'm glad I finally got to it because this one was actually very cool and has little to do with the world of fashion. It focuses more on the French Resistance during WWII, codes and decryption, and the network of underground tunnels under Paris.

Great game!

I've loved these games since I was a kid, and they're still challenging enough as a young adult. Danger by Design is one of my favorite Nancy Drew games. I've loved these games since I was a kid, and they're still challenging enough as a young adult. Danger by Design is one of my favorite Nancy Drew games. The puzzles in this one aren't the most difficult of the ND series (which is good, as some are literally impossible in the advanced mode of some of the other games unless you make a series of miraculous accidents) and definitely aren't a breeze at any point, besides the paintings you must reproduce to raise money. I recommend this game, and Senior mode is doable. Show less

Ok, let me start off by saying that I absolutely love the Nancy Drew games. I have several and I must say that anyone who is even considering getting one you should get them through big fish games (this is the cheapest route).
I love this game because 1. there are some really interesting characters to talk to 2. you get to explore some interesting places and 3. The puzzles are challenging enough but not way to hard (you should be able to finish them without too much frustration).
The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I hate the way you have to call contacts from the U.S. first you have to call the calling card it rings then you call your contacts #. This would be fine if I could just type it in on the keyboard but in this game you have to click on the buttons that's on the screen using your mouse/touch pad (kind of annoying after a while). The ending was also a bit dumb (not saying any more than that for those of you who haven't played). Show less

This game often appears on people's lists of the worst Nancy Drew games, so I had low expectations for it. It actually ended up being a lot more fun than I expected. With the exception of a puzzle near the beginning of the game that had to do with developing photos and was so frustrating I almost quit the game for good, most of the game was enjoyable. I love Nancy Drew games and have played more than half of the games in the series, and I have accepted the fact that you cannot skip the puzzles, even though I sometimes wish you could. I really wanted to skip over that photo developing puzzle, but I kept going and got through it eventually. ND games often require a lot of perseverance.

I found the story interesting, although it did kind of fall apart near the end. There were two different stories being told and they could have overlapped better. I think the weak ending has a lot to do with why people don't like this game. It also seemed easier than other ND games I have played. I liked the level of challenge because I play Junior Detective and often have to use walkthroughs for help when I get stuck (and in this game I didn't get stuck as much as I usually do), but people who play Senior Detective and like more of a challenge might find this game too easy.

Other than that really annoying puzzle near the beginning, I thought that this game was a lot of fun and worth playing, despite the fact that the ending is a let down. Because it is less challenging than some of the other games in the series, I especially recommend it to ND newbies. Show less

So, I did enjoy this one though not as much as other Nancy Drews. I would like to have seen more locations to visit in this game. The game felt rushed. I say that meaning, it just didnt seem as much was put into this one.

I cant believe we didn't even get a chance to visit the Eiffel Tower! What?

There was also only one Easter egg in this game. Which came from flushing a toilet 10 times. A lot of fun! Not!

The characters voices, the mini games, the game you play in order to earn money were all great.
