Well - Heck! Demo Over!!!!!

I generally don't like ball shooter type games. I've played them. I'm fairly good at them but I generally don't like the. Having said that - I WANT this game!

Storyline:
In the forest lived a valley of dwarves. They lived in peace, tranquility and harmony. One day, an evil wizard entered into the valley of the dwarves. The evil wizard wanted possession of ALL the forest and then, woe is me..... the evil wizard trapped ALL the little dwarves. One brave dward was able to escape the evil wizard's castle tower and found you. Now, it's up to you to save all the rest of the little dwarves in the evil wizard's castle and make life harmonious and happy again.

Graphics:
Not too bad - not great. The introduction was worse than cartoonish and obviously hand drawn, but that's ok, didn't bother me. It's kind of a cheesy game anyway, right? What DID bother me was as you gained into the upper levels a new color would appear - and there were 2 colors that were sooooooo similar (my old eyes here) that it was very hard to discern which ball to throw where - it could be extremely helpful if the right color. Extremely hurtful if not. Was this done on purpose, perhaps, to make the game THAT much harder?

Sound:
I apologize but I can't comment here. I just rescued a little bitty 6 week old puppy and she was asleep near my laptop so all volume was off. I would imagine, however, that as you destroyed massive walls of colored balls there were the appropriate explosions, etc.

Game Play:
Ah, how to explain? At the bottom of your screen is a colored ball, falling from the top of the screen is a wall of different colored balls. Your job? To destroy as man balls as possible before the wall comes crashing down too low. There are bonus "balls" that you can catch as they fall when explosions happen and balls and bonuses and coins and dwarves are falling from the sky. Never figured out what the coins were for so I concentrated on catching the good bonuses - there are BAD bonuses as well.

There is only 1 mode of difficulty. Adventure. There is a row of balls on the left side of screen which shows which color is next but no way to change colors of what is in your shooter (such as right click). There is no tutuorial, per se, however there is a "how to play" section. I would recommend reading it before game play.

Is it a short game or a long game? Will it take some time to complete? Well, isn't time relevant to each individual game player? There are 30 levels. Only 30? Yes, only 30. I was able to pass 1/2 of the levels during the free hour demo. And, that was including the levels I had to repeat twice as the levels got higher and harder. So, I would venture to say it's probably a good afternoon/day's worth of game play - depending on your skill.

For not having any bells and whistles or the regular hoo-haas of your average shooter games, this Glam-ma totally enjoyed it. In fact, I got that "wow" factor I look for in games - when the demo is over and I go "what?" "Now?" "NOOO!" That's MY purchase indicator. This game is definitely going on my wish list. It was fun, it was relaxing.

This Glam-ma highly recommends you try the free demo. I hope you will overlook the "only 30" levels and focus on the fun. I think you will enjoy. I would recommend this for all levels of game players.

I love Popper games, but BFG seems disinterested in providing any new ones or hides them away in other genres so I was desperate & searched through ALL the games & genres & finally found this game, which didn't sound all that exciting as far as moves were concerned ie you can only shoot straight, & don't slide easily into gaps, no bouncing off walls etc which would have been more interesting!
If you have played the "Bird" games it is reminiscent of that type & has simple graphics, but does the job to the point that I was almost jumping out of my skin with the speed of catching things including the Dwarves who yell with either fright or excitement & therefore startled me as they fell.
There are all sorts of things to catch but don't really know what the coins are for - maybe it states that in the instructions!
If you like popper games then this could fit the bill, but in my case, it was not exactly relaxing! But it was fun Show less

This is a long game for one reason....all levels, except the first ones (demo) are nearly impossible to win. Fun game to play, but the frustration of having to play a level for 50 times before you can even come close to winning to move on is almost too much.

This is a fun game and started out interesting but it soon became tedious. All you do on each level is pop the bubbles and save the elves. No real challenge here. Graphics are nice but not to write home about and I can't see where you get any reward for rackin' up points unless I missed something.
I recommend this one for people that like this kind of game but it's not for me.
