Allison's Internship Isn't What She Had In Mind

Allison was supposed to intern for Dr. Quinn in the surgical department, but Dr. Quinn refused to train two interns at the same time! Now she has to intern for Michael, which isn't exactly what she had in mind but for now, a job's a job. Allison is friends with Emily who makes an appearance during the Diamond Challenge levels, working in the hospital's cafeteria. Time to heal is the second game in this series which is a really fun Time Management game but when compared to the Delicious series, nothing can take the place of our beloved Emily and her adorable family.

Instead of serving customers food, Allison serves patients a little TLC. When patients arrive at the waiting room, a bubble will appear over their heads (as well as the patients patience hearts) with a picture of what form of treatment they require. You click on the patient and then the area needed such as a hospital bed, IV chair or shower room. If the bubble is Green, that treatment is usually quick but may require another item to finish. If the bubble is Purple, this means an action or set of movements is required, if the bubble is Blue, this means a Mini Game needs to be played to successfully treat the patient. When all treatments have been given, you simply click on the computer (instead of cash register) to check the patient out.

The patients will have a Heart meter above them and they will lose a Heart if you aren't quick enough. If you are fast or perform chain treatments, you will receive bonus points, if the patients Heart Bar is full, their hearts will turn gold at which point they cannot lose their heart score and you'll receive extra points as well.

Points can be used in the shop to purchase extra waiting room chairs, comfy beds and IV chairs. You can also buy decorations all of which keep the patients happy and hopefully keep all their hearts. Some levels unlock Bonus levels (this is where Emily comes in at) that will allow you to earn Diamonds. Diamonds can be used in the Diamond shop to purchase items you can't get with just your earned points. Some of the levels have side goals, such as keeping grumpy patients from getting too grumpy, and each level has a Guinea Pig to catch, just like the mice in the other series.

The goal is to earn 3 stars for each of the 90 + levels and you can replay the levels as often as you want to try for a perfect score. There are 19 Trophies to earn for different milestones along the way. This is a really fun TM game with some interesting features, certainly better than Cathy's Crafts and Angela's Fashion, but nowhere near as fun as the Delicious series, enjoy! Show less

I'm not usually a TM game enthusiast but this one hooked me from the beginning. I love a story driven game and, for a light-hearted genre, this has real depth.

The basic premise is that you're Allison, new intern at a hospital. Her planned stint in the surgery department gets derailed and she winds up interning in "the ward" in the demo then cycles through different departments every 10 levels in the game - pharmacology, radiology, physiology, emergency room, etc. All throughout you're following the stories of the people she meets and their lives, their tragedies, their triumphs and how it's all intertwined with this hospital. We're talking issues of family dynamics, drug addiction, theft, death, survivors guilt, depression, self-esteem, etc... and, of course, the love interest for Allison. I'm not a fan of medical tv dramas like Greys Anatomy, but as a game this rocks!

The characters are very well defined. The layers of the story are intricate. Even the way the characters are drawn to manifest emotion is remarkable.

The gameplay is .... hmmmm ... I want to say difficultish. If you're into TM games then you'll love this because it's definitely a challenge. Some hospital departments are harder than others and some are fairly simple. There are also "Challenge" chapters that open up between levels = difficult! You get diamonds from the challenge chapters that allow you to purchase things for Allison.

All-in-all this is a winner of a game. Challenging tasks and an intriguing story. If you play the demo, you'll be left on a cliffhanger that will make you want to know what's going on. Because it's such a story-driven game I'm glad I got the CE so I'll have the bonus chapter. Somehow I think that the SE might leave something out. Show less

It seems all of the Emily Delicious type games now are meant to make you cry. I sobbed at times on this one, just a warning, but I tend to be emotional anyway. The gameplay is challenging, but not impossible like Cathy's Crafts. There's a guinea pig to find in every level and he can be hard to spot. Overall it is an excellent storyline and a good game. A definite buy if you're a fan.

I have followed the Emily games for a while now and fell absolutely in love with them. This game totally trumped all story lines given within that universe. The game play was very similar and just as challenging, but honestly the thing that has pulled me head first into this game is the STORYLINE. Really enjoyed playing this game. A little bit of everything although some may not like the story content for younger kids. I was hooked. Worth the purchase.

it follows on from previous game and is fun to play, good story and challenging. graphics and sound are also good. you will replay levels to get best scores.

I loved this game so much! My favourites have been the Delicious games...until now. I haven't liked the other Delicious knock-offs (Angela, Maggie, etc), but this one was great.

It is challenging without being impossible; I liked the characters; loved the storyline, even though it was sad at some points. It also took me a while to get through, which I like.

Highly recommend!

This second game in the Heart's Medicine series is fantastic. I hope there will be another game to continue on with this storyline, as I love it.
