although there isn't a storyline and sound and visuals are old school i loved this game as another new take on tetras. its a strange mix of challenge and chill space for the brain rather than pieces falling you pick from ones on each side so not as frantic as the original tetras although there is a time limit if you like fast pace and loads going on id give this a miss even the arcade option is ...Show more

I loved this game. It's different and not the same old type games. You have to pick the shapes and put them into the puzzle. I know people are complaining about the timer (which I didn't like either) but my time ran out and I still got to play the game, I just didn't get extra points for the time. It is very relaxing and a lot of fun.

I recommend this game!

I love this game because it has multiple challenge components integrated in the play mode. That means you choose your focus, no need to toggle for levels of difficulty. This is a well crafted game and it plays smoothly.
If you want to race the timer, go ahead.
If you want to advance but not race the timer (that is me, always, due to hands don't race), then play slowly and place the shapes to ...Show more

If you want to race the timer, go ahead.
If you want to advance but not race the timer (that is me, always, due to hands don't race), then play slowly and place the shapes to advance in other ways, such as trying to consolidate colors or fill every blank.
I don't play the sound, so have no comment there.
So, I bought this one for the tetras type puzzle, with the option to race or not (again, me), and I'll enjoy it many times over!

I just ignored the timer—since you can continue playing after it runs out—in favor of strategizing the best spots. Ignoring the timer, it's a relaxing yet challenging game. One of these days, I'll go back and try for that third star, but for now, I still find it enjoyable.

Basically, you're provided with a number of Tetris-shaped pieces in various colors and you must fit them into the grid. You earn more points for placing like-colored pieces together. There is a scoring goal to reach, but I mostly ignored that too. Also, you begin each level with 5 hammers, each of which will destroy one square on the grid.

The production is fairly basic; the graphics don't have dimension and there's not much animation. However, I don't find that a detriment. Sometimes all those bells and whistles just distract you from what is otherwise a subpar game. The simplicity was refreshing, and the focus was on gameplay.

I do agree with another reviewer who wished for more colors and shapes as the game progressed. I recommend this game for puzzle lovers, whether you prefer a relaxing experience or a more frantic, timed one. Show less

I really enjoyed playing this game at first, but as the levels progressed, and the boards became more challenging, I began to feel more frustrated than chillaxed. I couldn't find any Relaxed mode option, and the tutorial explains almost nothing about the rules of engagement. I love puzzles, and I loved putting the tetris styled pieces together to "Formit" but I didn't love the fact that I had very little time to solve my puzzle levels.

There are two inventory bars, one on each side of the board, to draw pieces from, as pieces are used, more are added. There are several shapes to choose from, and of course, the good ones are hard to come by. Each board has different obstacles to work around, so you will need to rotate most pieces to make them fit together, the goal is to leave no empty spaces, which is harder than it sounds.

You can earn up to 3 stars per level, but if you don't finish the level before the timer runs out, you can't earn the third star. You will earn extra points when identical colors are placed in groups next to each other. Two points are deducted if you have to put a piece in the trash can, and each empty cell will cost you 50 points, but no empty cells will net you 500 extra points. There is a color meter that will fill up as you place identical colored pieces next to each other. You can use the Hammer to chisel out certain pieces, but there is a limited amount given per level. You can also opt to turn on or off the hint placement of each piece you pick up.

This would have been a definite buy for me if it had a Casual, Untimed Mode. The timer just took away the relaxation aspect for me personally, however, I do recommend this game to those who have a need for speed, enjoy! Show less

This game would be just right for those who love to "Beat the Clock". I rather play my Tetris game instead, at least I have time to arrange the pieces. Given only 1min 50sec to play the given areas is not my cup of tea.
Will not obligate myself in giving a recommendation for this game. You'll have to play the DEMO first and judge for yourself.
