I really enjoyed this game and I thought the mini-puzzles and hidden objects were fun. The graphics are beautiful and you travel to different lands. For me it was "one of the best".

Based on the completed game: When I reviewed the CE version of this game for the sales page, I rated it 4 stars, which I amended to 5 stars in the forum once I'd actually played the complete game & bonus. Although I personally purchased the CE (& thought it an excellent value), I wanted to review the main game on this page as well, because this game is just that good. It bears pointing out that Boolat has a very unique, distinctive style they bring to their fantasy genre HOPA games, so I do advise doing the demo to see if it's a style you enjoy. I myself love it, because it's so creative (& in some cases, so outlandish &/or outrageous) that I invariably find myself laughing out loud at various things, just because I'm so tickled by them. There are many, many HOPA games I've enjoyed greatly since I began playing them, & for a wealth of reasons, but for just plain fun, this dev has been #1. I did notice they raised the bar slightly in this game, in terms of challenge. Though the mini-games start out being cake walks, that changes as you progress. Most of the mini-games are easy to medium difficulty, but there are some that will really get you going. The HO scenes were also more challenging to me; I was surprised I got the "10 HOPs w/o a hint" achievement. This dev's way w/ HO scenes is one of the reasons I enjoy their games so much, as they manage w/o fail to make them fun from the start of the game right through to the finish, & they include enough of both HO scenes & mini-games to satiate fans of each. This is also a good length game, w/ many areas to explore, & each "realm" you visit is very distinctive. The "dark realm" in this game was especially interesting to me, as I haven't seen as much of that sort of thing from this dev, & what they made of it, to me, was just great (that's where you encounter the "many eyes" HO scene shown in the sales media). Long story short, this game packs major value, & I honestly can't recommend it highly enough. I'm glad I got the CE, because of the high quality of the bonus chapter, collectibles, morphs, & other extras, but if you just want an excellent fantasy genre HOPA game to play sans the trimmings, you will make out like a bandit w/ this one. :D Happy gaming, all. :) Show less

I played the beta demo of this game a while back, and to be perfectly honest with you, the storyline isn't all that creative, but the graphics, well that's a whole different ball game. I was, and still am, utterly impressed with the creativity and beauty of the graphics. The artists clearly had a vision in mind, and they are able to take us on a journey, through their mind's eye, a journey through 4 magical realms of Atis. Although the first Realm is visibly more appealing, the other three are just as beautiful, and the game does a great job of holding your attention to the end, which is more than I can say about some of these games.

These realms are made from magic, but where there's good, there's also evil, where there's magic, there's dark magic, and you are here for a reason, to save your fiance, Matthew! Samantha wasn't expecting Matthew to be her patient at the hospital today, but today is no ordinary day for this couple. Matthew discovered a sphere at the bottom of the lake during one of his dives, and this sphere has made Matthew very ill. The sphere wants Mathew, and Mathew wants this sphere, but neither one of them suspected what would happen next...

Shortly after arriving to the world of Flying Fishes (followed by the Sand, Ice, and Dark Worlds) you will be given a Magic Box by Harold the magician, and creator of the realms. This box can dispel dark magic created by Harold's nemesis, Ralph, after playing a mini game of course, and each mini game is different and very creative. In the Collector's Edition version, there are 90 Crystal Runes to collect (once collected, you can play a Match 3 game with the crystals) and there are 15 Morphing Ghost Masks to find as well.

The Hidden Object Scenes are just as beautiful as the realms are. Most of the HOP's have several different styles in each scene, as well as a puzzle or two to solve, making them highly entertaining. There are Interactive list finds, Matching Pairs finds, Silhouetted Shape finds, Progressive Interactive finds, Fragment finds, Combination Silhouetted Shape Matches, Multiple finds and even small Zoom Zone finds available.

The Mini Games are fun, some are easy to solve, others require more patients. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

1) Pass the ball through every checkpoint to open the safe lock.

2) Arrange the runes according to the shapes on each row and column.

3) Find matching pairs by clicking on two honeycombs at a time.

4) Swap tiles to complete the pattern.

5) Rotate disks to complete the image.

6) Place all of the tetris shaped puzzle pieces into the playing field.

7) Complete the sketch by first rotating sections and then flipping tiles.

8) Drag the ball through the symbol without going outside of the shape.

9) Repeat the sequence of tile selections.

10) Swap tiles to complete the picture.

11) Arrange the tokens so that they complete the logic equations.

12) Press to stop the orbs when all orbs are in the empty slots at the same time.

The Collector's Edition has 20 Achievements to earn, 15 Morphing Ghost Masks, 90 Crystal Runes to collect and play a Match 3 game, 18 Concept Art pictures, 18 Wallpaper Posters, 9 Videos, 10 Music Soundtracks, 25 replayable Mini Games, 22 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, Story recaps, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! While rescuing a love from an evil force through fantasy portals is certainly nothing new plot-wise Call of Atis is saved by its breathtaking Artwork! Visually, there is a lot to take in and/or interact with in each scene. The artwork is some of the best I've seen in a long time! The vivid colors make each scene even more stunning. Bravo to Boolat Games!

I found the tasks we had to perform fairly fascinating and the challenge level is easy to moderate. I enjoyed the hidden object scenes and the puzzles. The hidden object scenes were often multi-layered and very well designed. The puzzles were not that difficult and fun to do which is saying a lot since I usually end up skipping them, I did not skip any in this game!
I have enjoyed every game Boolat games has put out. Dreampath Curse of the Swamps and Two Kingdoms are two of my most memorable and favorite games. I can now add this game to that list.
Please, Boolat make more games, and hurry! lol

If you've read some of my other reviews you know I'm not a big fan of puzzles, especially those that are overly complicated, or for which a degree in mathematics is almost a requirement to enable completion. In this game, however, the puzzles are sufficient to present a mild-to-medium challenge while, for the most part, should be solvable by the application of just a little logic.

The HO sequences offer variety and, again, a mild-to-medium challenge.

Now for the Ho-Hum report: Once again the object of the game is for the female protagonist to rescue an inept and helpless guy from the clutches of an evil supernatural being.

As I've said before, I like women and find nothing incongruous about them being heroic . . . but it would be nice, now and then, for this old guy to be able to play as the same gender.

Although I recommend this game, it comes with the usual caveat that you play the demo and decide for yourself. Show less

a good HO game with a pretty good story line. 4 levels of challenge. i did custom. good hint system. the underworld has come to our world to take souls to live longer. you need to find a way to destroy this underworld entity.
