I usually don't like Limited Moves Match 3 games, but there's just something about Rio, that piqued my interest. This is a swap type Match 3 game, that can be played in a Normal or Casual Mode which gives you 25% more moves to complete each level. You can actually switch back and forth on any level because there is an option box at the bottom of the screen. The tiles are colorful and the music is nice, but I did find it to be repetitive after several levels.Any level can be replayed, and there is a meter at the top of the screen to show you when you will lose a star, according to how many moves remain.

Lucy Rich has been given the responsibility of building a luxury Hotel in Rio, by her father who hopes she will one day take over the business. Lucy has a tight budget, and must figure out a way to bring in customers to earn more money, so that she can reinvest the earnings to upgrade the Hotel. After building the Hotel, you will play Match 3 Games to earn more money, to build amenities such as a Bar, Pavilion, a swimming Pool and of course a Janitorial Maintenance Building. Some of the buildings will award you with a Bonus, such as a Hammer to destroy a tile of choice, from the Janitor's building, but it must be recharge after each use by collecting Hammer tiles. Once you build a new building, you get to play a game of Higher/Lower Solitaire game to earn coins. You can purchase new deck cards and backgrounds with the coins earned.

Large matches over 4 will earn you an Orange Juice Bomb on the board, that will explode to remove adjacent tiles and blockages when clicked on, without counting as a turn. I did notice however, that this feature doesn't always seem to give you the OJ bomb, but I couldn't figure out why. At one point I thought it had to be matches OVER 4, but even with matches of 5, 6 or even 3 vertically and 3 horizontally in a single move, wouldn't always trigger the feature, so I'm not sure if it is a glitch, or I didn't understand the requirements.

There are some unusual features like Chocolate blockades, where the chocolate begins to melt and spread all over the other tiles, and the usual blockades of Chains that require a specific tile match, or Crates and Ice Cubes that require matches to be made next to them, to destroy them. You will need to match specific tiles that are shown around each customer's profile picture, and make matches over all Sand filled cells. Some Sand filled cells are covered with Grass, and you'll have to make two matche on top of them, the first match will destroy the grass, the second match will destroy the sand filled cell.

I think one of the features I enjoyed the most, was the fact that the level layouts are so unique. The first several levels are fairly easy, but they quickly become more challenging, and I loved how well the storyline fits the tasks at hand, such as receiving a Hammer from the janitor, and playing Solitaire with him, or making matches yo fulfil the customer's desires. It isn't easy tying a storyline to a Match 3 game! If you don't mind a Limited Moves Match 3 game, this is a fantastic Match 3 game that's definitely worth considering, enjoy! Show less

This game has a pleasant story line and interesting characters. It also has more than one mode to playing can play match 3 or solitaire. It also has a build mode built in during which you can improve and create a fancy hotel. I really enjoyed this game.

This match 3 is extremely colorful, summer themed, graphically nice with bright colours and everiyhing, but it is not as easy as I thought at first. First, you have to complete the level in a given number of moves. I usually do not like this feature very much, especially when I want to play relaxed mode, but here, it does make sense. The usual scope of a level is the same as many others match 3, you have to clean all of the squares. Here, some are covered in sand, or in grass, or need multiple matches over or around them to get clean, but the real trick here are power ups. Not only you have to unlock them by buying implementations for the holyday resort you are putting up, but then you have to charge them during play in order to use them. And that can be a headache. Many times, obtaining the charge for the power ups, a part from being the only way to complete the level, is also the most difficult thing to do on the level itself. As already seen in other games, you have to make way for little objects to drop at the bottom of the screen to collect them and charge the powerups, but that can be extremely tricky, given the limited number of moves. All in all, I found it challenging, but not in a frustrating way. I am now discovering that you probably have to keep charges for powerups from one level to the next, because not all you need is always contained in the level itself. As you progress, you buy shops and pavillons to further better your resort. By clicking on those, you enter minigames of solitaire. Up to now, it seems that it is only one type of minigame. It could have been nice to have had different minigames in each shop. I am enjoying the game, try for yourself if the added difficulties are for you! Show less

This is a cheery, colorful game with nice peppy island music, the tiles are bright and easy to see, and it has a fun storyline. Putting Match 3 together with building and solitaire mini games is a winner for me, so I'm expecting a good time!

It is a busy game, the levels can be replayed and it presents a good amount of challenge as the game progresses (not frustrating challenges like some games). There are lots of power-ups that provide some of the challenges and little difficulties. But I think that just adds more fun.

I'm not sure how I will do with this Match 3, it is the first I have tried with limited moves. But it was cute enough and caught my interest right away, so decided to pick it up with my last coupon. Besides, this is the only way I will ever get to Rio!

I haven't ever bought a limited move game before, because I simply don't like them. However, this one is different - I love it! The limits are reasonable without making the game too easy, and I love the mix of Solitaire and Match 3.

I recommend this game!

this game does offer a relaxed mode once you start playing it will pop up at bottom of screen you click and relaxed you play this was a no buy for me until I got that pop up now I'm buying gl all

What a beautiful , fun Match 3 game. Exactly what everyone needs to rewind , relax and be entertained . It is colourful , inviting and has holidays written all over it.
Played part of the trail and bought it. It is not to easy , but no worries every level can be replayed as often as you like.
Have fun in the sun and come to Rio .

I don't usually like limited move games however the extra moves in the relaxed mode are good and it makes you think every move. I like the music way better than some. Because of the limited moves its not an easy game but its a challenge. Hopefully there will be a walkthrough as it gets really challenging. and i do like everything about it, but i would need something like a walkthrough, i just can't win level 12 with the hammer, and i have not a single idea on how i could. It's so sad, because i loved everything in this game, the wonderful happy music, the solitaire in between the match 3, the idea of combining it with building a hotel - just everything, but i am just not clever enough...
