I'm not an expert in mahjong but decided to try this one because of animals theme. At first I thought there would be images with dead rhinos or something like that and I'm very sencetive to this sort of thing. I was wrong. There are three tile faces to choose: two themed (with spears and african drums) and one classic. I completed first 5 levels with 3 stars and then I got an ability to play Bonus Game. In bonus game you must find the tiles from the in-house-setting. If you find more than one required tile you will get bonus scores.
I definitely liked Save the nature: Mahjong. It's not only challenging and fun, but has no violence and darkness as Hidden Object has. If you want to play something light and kindly you should try this game. Show less

At first it was difficult, I passed all the levels for one star, sometimes for two. But I repeat, I'm not a big fan of mahjong. However, when I changed chips to beads and spears the game went easier. It worked for me.
In general, I really liked the game, quite fascinating and not stressful. I probably would like that at first there would be more time to pass the level, which would be easier to get used to the game.
And I really liked the music and cute art.

Backgrounds are nice and I like the music. As for me quite enough time to get three stars. I've tried some levels several times to get needed amount of stars. In any case when everything is too easy - the game is loosing its sense, but not in this case! I was so bored with mahjong but THIS ONE is cool.

I recommend this game!

As for me, it is a very beautiful game if you want to get away from everything and just to have some fun. Really very exciting game. Maybe it's a bit complicated, but tools such as hint and shuffle are very helpful. I like these images with animals very much!

I recommend this game!

But my eyesight is not the best so I need a little longer to begin with! I love Mahjong & consider myself speedy, but I finally had to admit defeat!
Even if I was being quite speedy, all of a sudden there were no moves = wasting time to shuffle, & so timer ran out!
I really wanted to love this African themed, appropriate music, game,but just couldn't hack it any longer & will uninstall. It is far too fast timer-wise & has spoilt an otherwise promising game.

Mahjong, as I've come to learn, is meant to be relaxing, and since everything was timed and there wasn't a relaxed mode, I got stressed trying to match the tiny pieces. The game only got more challenging as it went on, hence my high level of challenge rating. Achieving stars for the bonus levels also was impossible with how fast everything moved.

There were a few things about the game I did like, though. I liked all of the different African locations and tile customization options. I also, to an extent, enjoyed the challenge of trying to fill the star meter, since sometimes mahjong can be monotonous. However, overall, I wouldn't recommend. Show less

To be honest, there are only a handful of Mahjong games that I love, and this certainly isn't one of them! This is a Limited Time Mahjong game, that gives you very little time to remove available matching tiles, therefore it's almost impossible to earn all 3 Stars. There are 24 Achievements to earn and 24 Bonus Levels available, but they can only be unlocked when you earn the specified number of ...Show more

To be honest, there are only a handful of Mahjong games that I love, and this certainly isn't one of them! This is a Limited Time Mahjong game, that gives you very little time to remove available matching tiles, therefore it's almost impossible to earn all 3 Stars. There are 24 Achievements to earn and 24 Bonus Levels available, but they can only be unlocked when you earn the specified number of stars!

The Star Meter is located on the top, and it moves at a break neck speed, so good luck earning all 3 stars on the first attempt, the good news is that you can replay the levels as often as you want. The gear icon allows you to customize the game aspects with 3 different mahjong graphic sets, 6 different tile colors and 5 base colors to choose from. There are 12 African Locations, and 10 Levels per location. There is a Shuffle feature, and a Hint feature that give you 1 free shuffle and 3 free hints to begin with, after using those, you can purchase more with the points or gems you earn. The amount of gems you earn depends on the time spent per level. You can also use the Eye feature that will shade all unavailable tiles.

I don't mind the Timed aspect but the fact that they don't give you enough time to earn 3 stars, even in the first few levels, so this is a definite NO for me! Show less

The only good thing is the music and the background graphics of a charming African safari.
The bad... everything else...

This is not possible.
MAHJONG IS SUPPOSE TO BE RELAXING!!!!!!!
I felt like I was in an African safari being hunted down by blood hungry lions with the only chance of survival was to earn stars. I didn't make it chaps.

Mahjong is a game of thought and strategy...not a race! This is a game I might have bought but for the race for time! It's a shame... If you like jangled nerves you might like it...otherwise don't bother!
