It was just as exciting as in the previous parts of Gnomes Garden, with one exception - it's a Halloween special! Here you will meet vampires, and zombies and many other evil spirits. Although the beginning is quite ordinary and there's no different from the past parts, but after the training levels the real Halloween fun begins. You chase away the ghosts who lost their graves, evil werewolves, and grow Jack-o'-lanterns to light the way in the dark forest!
That was great. And, by the way, the graphics became much better than in the previous parts. Show less

The first 10 levels are so easy and mundane it's easy to write off this edition of Gnomes Garden. However it suddenly becomes challenging and engrossing and strategy is required. I admit to having to watch videos of the more difficult levels (for example level 30) but I thoroughly enjoy this game. I disagree with the reviews claiming this isn't Halloween-themed and I'm assuming they never played long enough to get past the first section. I enjoyed this game and it's one of the few TM games I stayed with until the end. The timer was irrelevant because it really doesn't matter how many stars you get, unless you're a stickler for achievements. It was challenging with the gremlins but completing the game is still very doable. Just be aware that you'll have to start a few levels over until you pick up items in the correct sequence. Would have loved to see more levels on this game but it was fun and loved the Halloween theme. The first ten levels seem a little boring but hang in there, it gets better!

Have you played Gnomes Garden 1-2 or 3? Well then you probably want to pass this one up, because it's really no different than the other 3, and there's nothing really Halloween themed about this game.

The Princess is informed that her rich uncle has gone missing and is presumed to be dead. She inherits his money under one stipulation, she must stay and rule her uncle's kingdom. At first she refuses but she is approached by a peasant who begs for help because all of the peasants are cursed and turning into zombies. Sounds interesting right? I'm hopeful thinking this will have an "Incredible Dracula" vibe to it (which btw is an awesome TM game) Nope, by the time the first level rolls around, the Princess has fixed the zombie situation, and must now do the same tasks she has done in the previous 3 versions, aka, fix bridges, repair farms, build sawmills, quarries, mills....you get the picture.

If you enjoyed the previous 3 Gnomes Garden, and I will say they aren't bad, and you don't mind the fact that there aren't many Halloween themed tasks if any, then this game is a decent game. However, there's really nothing new or different in this edition, so for me, I'll pass on this one. Show less

I'm a little disappointed. I love these games, and the overall game plays like all the rest. So on its own, it's fine. But there's almost no Halloween in this, save a few pumpkins and some scary end-level music. The rest of the graphics are exactly the same.

For this to be considered a fun Halloween version of what has already been done, I might add, is not worth spending the time or money. Perhaps more a Halloween challenge and/or more effort on the theme Halloween graphics. There is nothing new here!
