I have the previous game and at first you may think it is exactly the same, same music, which incidentally I do not mind at all.

I know it is a Halloween theme but I am glad it does not have creepy music.

This developer has been listening as we now have a changeable curser plus you can replay the level as it now gives you the option at the end of each level but beware , if you decline that you can not return afterwards.

This is great for those who wish to replay the level and better their score.

There are some minor differences in features but all the levels are different and I wanted to play well in to the game before I gave my review.
I like that the power ups are limited and you do not have power ups that will wipe out a vast area of the game plus you can not remove cauldrons by explosion either which for me is good and just adds more to the challenge.

I really only use the shuffle which I find a great help when running out of moves plus you still have to figure it out.

The further in the more complex the game becomes and mainly I use relaxed but you can switch between the other modes and make other adjustments to get the game you want.

I find this very handy.
Now on to the usual question, is it CE worthy ?

For me yes.50 extra levels is a lot and the levels are becoming more involved and take longer so that alone is well worth it. This is just my opinion.

You have extra mini games, and also wallpapers that I can do without but what I do not like is you can not access any of this until you have completed the first 100 levels, not a fan of that.

When you pay extra for a CE you should be able to access things like wallpapers, mini games earlier but many Dev's are guilty of this.

Overall this game is just right for me. As I am always saying we are all different so this is not going to suit everyone but at least it is not the same old mechanics game after game after game.

Try the demo and see what you think. Several games lately, I have wanted to keep playing until I finish and this is no exception. Show less

I enjoy playing games through this developer because the games get harder whatever I play through them and I enjoy a good challenge with their games

I gave a review earlier saying I didn`t understand the game play but this time around I really payed attention to the instructions (which we all do not look at) and I really like the game. It`s challenging and fun. So glad I gave it a second change.
If you try it, make sure to read the instructions carefully. They are very well explained.

I recommend this game!

Not sure I would pay full price for the CE but it is a cute game for those who like Match 3 and is welcoming in the season.

Very unoriginal and perhaps suited to young teens. Very funky "restore the house" theme. Nothing very original about the match 3 gameplay either. I might have rated it a bit higher if it wasn't listed as a CE game. SAD that the quality of BFG as gotten so low as to list this game as a CE!

You're supposed to help decorate a house for Halloween and the only way to get money to buy decorations is to play the Match 3 and some of the mini-games. The one thing that annoys me the most about this game is (Spoiler alert) when you have things that are behind a silver chains, which are frozen items. The only way to unmelt is to make matches next to the fireball. The problem is that when you make connections, if you're not quick, the fire goes out and you have to start over again to try to make matches. Also, the farther you get from the fireball, the fire goes out, and you have to start over again. You have to be patient with this game, and, after a while, I lost patience. I bought everything, but it won't let you play the collectors edition until you finish the main level (I don't know how many levels there are). I gave up after level 99 and just quit. Show less

I only got through 5 levels in the demo time. I was a bit hard on the first installment of this series and liked #3 better but I'd say my end rating for HT3 is more like 3.8*.

I liked:
- The clarity of the icons. They aren't just cartoonish like we see in some of the M3s. They have more of a 3D feel which I really liked.

- It has good sound effects
- I loved the ???/Hint, question mark feature. If ever you are stuck click the ? on the R side of screen and it will point out how to progress.

Didn't like:
- There weren't enough icon/rune changes between levels so the entire demo just felt like I was playing one long M3 board.

- In HT1 I mentioned that I didn't like the spider icons because they look like ticks. They still look like ticks.
- You must spread fire from cell to cell across the board to melt some ice tiles on the opposite side of the play board. I'm pretty sure all the levels I played had that feature, which I'm not really a fan of. One or 2 levels would be ok but not so many levels back to back.

- I really disliked the "build/design area". You get in-game currency to decorate a house but it was pretty unappealing and so were the items you obtained.
- The items in the decorative room are too expensive too.
- Need to fix and add to the music.

I wouldn't ever pay the price of the CE for this and surprised it was offered as one. The simplistic M3s have usually only been offered as SEs historically.

I didn't think this was a bad game but there are other M3s I just like way more. This one could be so much better with a few changes. Show less
