Very excited to see this next installment of this classy series. Whilst it follows the formula of previous games, there are new characters (John now has a dog that can chase away boars and zombies and maneating plants) which also makes it better than just skeletons annoying you!

This game has the lot, built in strategy guide, wallpapers, soundtrack etc. (and be careful..there is a jigsaw puzzle piece to find on most levels too..I had to go back after level three when I realised)
A standard build it, gather it, send a worker, fulfill the list time management game but never gets boring and keeps you on your toes. You really must figure out strategies, and often get surprised as the level continues, and you have to change tack
Just love it, thankyou Bigfish!
Everything about this game is to like. I recommend if you are a beginner that you get the hang of it on an untimed level as it is one of the more difficult to master. Enjoy!! Show less

Love the TM games, and this is one of the best. Has relaxed mode, challenging, great visual and sound.Funny dialogue and best of all, fun factor is excellent.

Love this series. I really liked the new dog edition! Had to play some of the games many times over to get the gold, but, it was worth it. Keep them coming!

The bonus levels are super fun but the rest of the stuff didn't interest me - they should release it in standard with the extras levels ! The only thing that annoyed me was the dog - a new addition. His barking is unbearable - hey devs - get rid of this for the next game :(

I really enjoyed playing both version 5 & 6.
Even though there are glitches I still enjoyed playing.
Sometimes men would just stand there, or would move around the screen and I couldn't stop them. It happened quite a bit.

I tried the first couple of versions but I didn't like that I couldn't choose no time limits.

Overall good games.

I recommend this game!

I'm usually the first to hit the 'buy' button with this series but I'm not sure about this episode. A very swift release from the previous game which came out in December; perhaps it's a bit too soon and personally I don't think it's a patch on no. 4.

The graphics as always are crisp and colourful but the colours are quite dull and make the game seem gloomy. The gameplay is the same as ever but with some new additions. Most notable of these is a dog; you can send him to chase off goblins and skeletons, which would be fun if he didn't bark constantly whilst attacking. After a few times, this gets really irritating.

You also come across a unicorn, which like the reindeer in 'Santa's Service' will charge at the workers until he's fed; after this, he too will see off the skeletons. He does this without prompting but the dog will sometimes need positioning for the best defence.

There just seems to be too much going on for the game to flow comfortably from one task to the next. It felt bitty and uncoordinated, trying to get food, gold, wood and manna whist sending either John or the dog to fight off far too many skeletons on some levels. On the plus side, there is an untimed mode for those (like me) that welcome one!

There are puzzle pieces to find and a built in SG amongst the extras but nothing much else to warrant twice the price. I will buy the game as I have all the others and this type of TM is becoming an endangered species. Whether or not i go for the CE depends on any sales coming up, otherwise I'll wait for the SE. It's a reasonable addition to the series but nowhere near as good as the previous game. Show less
