After discovering a fourth dimension and color in Fantasy Mosaics 14, the adorable penguin family is ready for a whole new adventure. Mr. and Mrs. Penguin are taking the family to an ancient land in hope of discovering their family roots!

There are still four colors available and you can earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes, three mistakes require you to replay the level. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't make any mistakes, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefor, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars if you don't use any hints.

This is a griddler or mosaic type puzzle game where you fill in and cross of cells on various sized grids, using logic. There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to figure out where numbers can't possibly fit to reduce the amount of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit. Some cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed or an extra pickaxe which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on. There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.

The one feature that makes Fantasy Mosaics stand out from the rest of the griddler games, is the vibrant array of colors available, and now there's four to make the pictures even better. It can also help you solve the puzzle when you get stuck, because you can switch to another color which ultimately narrows down the available cells. Unlike many griddler games, these pictures actually make sense, because they have four different colors you know what image you have created.

This series is one of the best available, and certainly the most colorful. This is a must have game for griddler geeks and an immediate purchase for this geek, enjoy! Show less

Match Gems Mosaics is a terrific addition to the PC gaming world. #15 is another fine chapter and the second with 4 colors rather than the 3 shades used in most of its prior games.

My problem is that boredom is starting to set in and that's why I will not acquire Ancient Land. Seeing as that I already own most of the MG entries, I have reached a saturation level and a larger vessel isn't necessary. Instead of spending $$$ again, I can replay lots of the penguin games I have.

For those new to mosaics and for those who just cannot get enough of these griddlers, FM 15 is excellent. Since Match Gems has provided so many of these efforts, does this developer have anything else up its sleeve? Maybe it can do a better job using various shapes, etc. that Greatest Places tried a few weeks ago but failed in so many grids with glitches that have yet to be corrected. Here's hoping for something new from Match Gems. Show less

In this game, the four-color adventure continues, as Uncle Aaron returns to collect the Penguin Family and take them on a voyage through ancient lands to see where their ancestors came from.
OK, as storylines go, it's not a thrill-a-minute; but for a mosaic game, it's perfectly fine (we're talking about magical space/time-traveling penguins, after all). The story's not so complex that you can't jump in anywhere. More important is the gameplay: all new mosaic puzzles of increasing difficulty. There is the usual garden (you add a piece after every finishing every level, each of which is five puzzles long), with its charmingly if oddly named 'items' - "Dinosaur of Lost Species," for instance.
I love the Fantasy Mosaic series. I usually play paranormal Hidden/Fractured Object Games, but sometimes it's nice just to sit back and relax with a calming mosaic - and for my money, Fantasy Mosaics is the best in the genre. I buy them without even doing the one-hour preview anymore, and I have yet to be disappointed.
The background music is simple and lovely, and adds to the pleasant, calming experience. Show less

I have every one of the games in this series and I love them. I buy them immediately and start playing them almost exclusively until I'm finished. And then I am sad that the game is over and wondering how long I will have to wait for the next one to be released. In this case, not very long, and that is great!

The storyline finds the penguins traveling back to Egypt to find their ancestors and learn about how and where they lived.

This is a multi-colored griddler with all the standard features of the previous games. Each game in the series is a logical progression from the previous games. However, this game does not bring in any new elements.

There are 20 locations with multiple grids in each location. The first couple of grids are easy, but then start to quickly progress into harder ones. With the completion of all grids in a location, an Egyptian item is added to the garden.

Another great game in a great series. Show less

Fantasy Mosaics 15 is here and, at least for me, they can’t seem to get these games out fast enough. The mosaics or griddler games are among my favorite and most often they are my go to games to fill in the time between HOPA releases. The Fantasy Mosaics series are the gold standard with graphics and sound that are superior to any of the others in this genre.

Fantasy Mosaics 15 is here and, at least for me, they can’t seem to get these games out fast enough. The Fantasy Mosaics series are the gold standard with graphics and sound that are superior to any of the others in this genre.

Most of the other reviewers have said it all so I don’t need to go into the details but I love the new game mechanics that came out with Fantasy Mosaics 14 where we now have four colors that bumped up the level of challenge.

Fantastic is the word that comes to mind and best describes Fantasy Mosaics. I will keep playing them as long as the dev keeps them coming my way. No one does them better although some of the recent griddler games are coming closer to the gold standard set by Fantasy Mosaics.

Love, love, love the penguins and all the hours of fun I have getting to know them and their environments. Somehow, I think five-stars are just not enough!! Show less

I like these griddler puzzle games, and usually buy them, but I sure wish they could do a little extra instead of just adding stupid pictures to a background. Maybe offer a mini-game puzzle or something when you finish a level. That is one UGLY CAT!! :)

Animation is still painstakingly slow and the graphics still juvenile. This is a logical game geared for adults and the silly, inane graphics are just plain annoying. Translation is still bad and there ...Show more
