I had to try this version and I really love it! Yes the game play is like many of the others but the graphics, sounds and music are wonderful! The music is very relaxing for me even if it is repetitive. Gameplay is smooth and there are some new aspects to this version. Also some newer symbols to remove. I especially like the new butterfly in the bonus room. The new castles are so beautiful.

I recommend this game!

This is a wonderful sequel to Jewel Match Royale. The story continues. I love everything about this game: story, graphics, music and the gameplay is a lot of fun. The levels are big, as usual. And it's a long game.

Graphics are a bit different than the first one but basically the same game; more elaborate. Castle's are bigger; tons of levels.
Mute the music & listen to the ocean crashing on the beach; very soothing. Somewhat addicting; you'll play it again & again.
Never did figure out what the land mines did though or the
make-up compact on the left side. But overall; great.

I recommend this game!

I love the Jewel Match games and this is another fantastic addition to the series. Beautiful and relaxing match-3 game play, a nice story, and a bunch of fun castles to rebuild. Can't recommend it enough.

I have the other Jewel Match games so I am basing this game on them. I enjoy all the Jewel Match games, but on this one, I miss the larger boards and tiles. I find it harder to find the tiles to match unless I take my time. I thought it was fun to move the board back and forth until I completed the room, which this game does not have. I am not too sure where the jewel match game after completing the garden level comes in to play? Maybe if the jewels had some glitter to them, it would be more interesting to complete. Again, I will store this game when completed with my other PC games. Show less

Jewel Match has been in my arsenal since it first came out in 2007. My go-to-favorite is Jewel Match: Twilight...I've played it over and over for years. JM Royal: Rise of the King comes close. I liked it and it was certainly worth the money because it took HOURS to play over several days in relaxed mode.

But, I didn't LOVE it. I found the smaller boards took a little getting used to and the tiles often seemed jarring to the point I'd have focus issues finding the matches. It took me some time to get the hang of the Garden Room to get that butterfly each time; and I never did figure out how to get all the matches in the Jewel Room....I just sort of winged that one and what I got was what I got.

Each chapter is HUGE and take time to complete. The castles are beautiful as are the grounds, although they can get a bit busy with the decorations if you use all your stars. (that's just personal preference for me that less is more). In relaxed mode it takes a long time to build up enough cash for the Power Up Shop, so don't expect to gain those quickly. I opted for those I tend to use the most and left the others completely alone. Your mileage may vary.

The game play itself is like the other JM's, with the addition of tiles that you must break by making either a designated number of specific matches or just random matches. That definitely adds to the game value for me as you have to think a bit about how to proceed. I'm a slow player, so I never use the timed or advanced modes...that, again, is personal preference and your mileage may vary.

I'll be honest, I barely paid attention to the storyline...it's not really why I buy Match 3 games, so I can't really say it made any difference to my gameplay. It was there, I had to click through the dialog to move on and that was that. Click - boom - done - move along.

Overall, I liked the game and will likely replay it in the future. I would love to be able to give it 4 1/2 stars because it's better than a 4 star game, but not really quite a 5 star game.

If you like Jewel Match in general, I think you will like this one. Give it a trial and see what you think. Show less
