I really like this series of mosaics. I noticed an improvement over the last one in that the cursor is no longer a paintbrush. I did not like that feature. The colors are vibrant, the finished pictures are clear. I bought it.
I recommend this game!

This is as enjoyable as the first one, Spring in Japan Mosaics. The music is relaxing, catchy, but repetitious. Sometimes it disappears completely, sometimes another melody is tacked on. Just a personal preference to
have consistent, decent music. Also, I am usually the one that complains about white mosaics on white background, but the white is a bit pearled or shadowed so they are playable. There are lots of white tiles so please be aware if you are using an aging computer or your eye sight is fading a bit. I do like that the suitcase containing the souvenirs is now filled. In the previous mosaic puzzle, not all the souvenirs were added and I enjoy seeing what is being mentioned by the journalist. Love all the bonus games when the story is finished. Looking forward to the next one (where will we go in winter?) and will definitely buy it!

I like these kind of games and have bought this one. As mentioned the pictures are very colorful, though some of them have many 1's and 2's which makes it challenging. I've given it a four stars, cause the other puzzles are the same as in Spring in Japan.
I recommend this game!

I found this game very enjoyable and relaxing. For those who do not know the paint brush that was hung on the cursor in Spring in Japan was fixed right after it came out. So many people complained about it that an error fix was issued right away. So if you did not purchase the game for that reason you can go back and enjoy it as well.
I recommend this game!

I loved the first game in this series, Sprind in Japan, but Summer in Italy didn't thrill me as much. It also doesn't seem to work well with my magic mouse which has no buttons so on several occassions I would get the opposite response, mostly as I chose to X a cell by right-clicking, the game would see it as filling in the cell and count as a mistake made.

Both games create images that are reconizable and both games are visually stunning. They use colors that really pop, like jet black next to cherry red, unlike most Mosaic games that tend to use colors like bubblegum pink, chalky blue, purple-nurple, ghastly green grenade, your grandma's yellow stove, and hazle-walnut mocha from the gas station colors.
You can choose from 3 different difficulty modes, Bronze (Easy) which gives you a 30-second refill timer, 5 Lives, 9 Shovels to reveal a single cell and 3 bombs to remove a 3x3 grid. Silver (Medium) gives you a 60-second hint refill timer, 3 Lives, 6 Shovels and 2 Bombs. Gold (Hard) gives you a 120-second hint refill timer, 1 Life, 3 Shovels and 1 Bomb.

They fixed the issue with the cumbersome brush cursor from the last game and made it easier to see the numbers that previously blended into the background, but the numbers are still a bit on the small side which may be difficult for some people to see. Other than a few glitches here and there, this is a decent game but has nothing particularly exciting offered.

I really liked this game, but I found it to hard to see. The tiles are not very big, and I don't have a large screen, so it was too hard on these old eyes. There are so few games I even think about buying, I had high hopes for this one.
I recommend this game!

There is very little contrast between tiles and the background for many of the puzzles. The background is grayish. For one puzzle the tiles were three shades of gray. It's one thing to make mistakes because you don't know how to play again. It's another to make mistakes because the tiles are almost the same color. Not enough fun to be worth the eye strain. By the way, I am not at all color blind.
I don't recommend this game.

I enjoyed the other summer in...series games but not this one. A lot of the colors are very hard to see. The grey and black squares are almost the same. The one level with two shades of grey and black was almost impossible. The white looks like the background. I understand they tried to create a shine on the squares but they only created eye strain. Too bad, I wanted to keep up with her search for Fancois, was kind of enjoying it but this game is not for me. Hopefully, the next won't be as bad. For sure I will try the next for the entire hour before buying. I didn't on this one and wish I had. Show less
