Based on the finished game.
I found this more entertaining than the last two CE games that I played and this was a SV from a filled game card. I read all the reviews for the CE of this game and decided to get the SV. My download data was 474.1 mbs which is pretty light for a game. The data amount is more in line for just a trial and some have even more data for a trial. I would have liked the ...Show more

Based on the finished game.

I would have liked the extras for this game.

I counted 7 hops and I liked them. I liked the story and game play. This was challenging enough for me. I like to relax and just have fun. But gamers don't want less in a game and that includes shortness. Show less

The biggest drawback to me is the miserly short length of this game....like they just didn't care and were in a hurry to get it done and over with. It is beyond me how anyone making a game can expect to make sales on such an ungenerous length. It astounded me and still does.

The graphics are lovely and very typical of the others in this series. I have every one....some in CE and others in SE. The story is secondary to gameplay for me and didn't bother me in this game one way or another.

The game may be too player friendly for some, but I don't really mind that as there is more time to enjoy and appreciate the beautiful graphical scenery. I don't care to be overwhelmed with hyperactivity of actions and inundated with brain paining puzzles that can consume a great deal of your life time. It is stressful and I don't need to be challenged to death....not my idea of a pleasurable time. Sometimes I just want to relax.

It isn't the best game and not the worst. I would have given this 4 stars if it had not been for the short length. I am sure it would have been more popular if it had been longer. It would have been with me, that is for sure. I think this SE is worthy of a pcc or a good sale price. I am not at a loss to have acquired this version and am glad to have it. Show less

It was fun but to short, you get into then game and it's over, I would give it 2 stars because you solved nothing for maybe less then and hours playing time. I would recommend this game if it was longer.

Have enjoyed this series in the past, so despite the lukewarm reviews decided to add to my collection... very disappointed..Not in the game itself, but just as I was getting in to it, it seemed to end! Feel cheated to be honest, and very pleased that I didn't purchase the CE.

Nice game, although a bit dark in colors but sooo short, I finished it in one and a half hour.
Easy game also, but enjoyable.

Storyline Character: you are a princess......no other option....if I were a guy, I would be frustrated after awhile with the lack of choice in this matter. Also, it might be nice to play a peasant once in awhile,,,,,something new....Plot: Spirit wolves seek revenge......I know we have never seen a game of any spirit group seeking revenge against royalty, right? Ok, that's sarcasm eeking from my frustration. But for those of us, who have purchased over 500 games, this is a little tedious. Magic Tools: The magic mirror you will need to speak to your husband, the prince. You'll need to activate it by pressing symbols in order....what's weird about that is it takes about a second because the second you grab the mirror, the code appears magically, and you just press the symbols on the side of the mirror. I swear a two year old could do that. I also did not understand why the prince and princess needed a mirror to talk to one another. At this point, a faithful servant of the prince arrives to take you to another castle for safety.....not sure what's wrong with the castle you're in but ok.....and then.....surprise..the wolf spirits attack.......they don't attack you, just the faithful servant...after the brutal attack you revive him with smelling salts that you find right next to him.....hmmmmmm ....then he says "take my magic sword" and dies......that's the end of the spoiling for me.....but I needed to share the simplicity and ridiculousness (in my opinion) of the plot. Level of challenge: The game was too easy. I need some type of feasible plot as well as a challenge in a game. If you are a beginner, this might be a good adventure for you. I lasted 10 minutes.....There has not been a game I liked for quite some time. I would be happier with one great game a week, then this pattern of daily games that demonstrate little innovation or challenge....that's me though.......try for yourself. Hope this was helpful. Believe it or not, the CE version of The Lost Queen game didn't receive a single 5-star rating, a dishonor I don't recall being bestowed upon any HOPA new release! I did buy this game in the CE version due to a lack of other choices during a BOGO sale, (hey it was basically free) and I did finish the main game today. Honestly, the storyline was undisguisable from just about any other "princess" ...Show more

Believe it or not, the CE version of The Lost Queen game didn't receive a single 5-star rating, a dishonor I don't recall being bestowed upon any HOPA new release! I did buy this game in the CE version due to a lack of other choices during a BOGO sale, (hey it was basically free) and I did finish the main game today. Honestly, the storyline was undisguisable from just about any other "princess" themed game, and certainly no different than all the other Spirits of Mystery games, it even has a similar title to the last game offered, Last vs Lost! In the beginning, this series was pretty decent, but the princess plot has been beaten to death and this particular dev either doesn't read our reviews or doesn't care that their game didn't earn a single 5-star rating?

I will give them credit on the Morphing Paw Prints available in the CE version, they morph very slowly which make them more challenging to spot. On the other hand, I missed finding 1 Lamp and 1 Morph only to discover that I couldn't go back to pick them up without re-playing the entire game, and that just ain't gonna happen. There are 5 Chapters, but in my opinion, they are short chapters. The Bonus Chapter is about twice as long as the average main chapters are, and you play the part of the Prince this time. There are no collectibles or morphing objects available in the Bonus Chapter, but honestly, I didn't finish the BC because I was way too bored at this point. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either, is right for you:

The devs must have run out of Blood Moon ideas because this time it's a Green Moon that causes the Forest Creatures to leave the comforts of the Dark Forest, and wreak havoc upon the Kingdom to ruin the wedding plans of the Princess and her fiance, Malgor. Of course there's always a hidden agenda and of course, no one is really who they seem to be. There's nothing about this storyline that's even remotely interesting, and the game's features are as easy as they could possibly be.

Yet another stupid gadget, a magic ring with a stupid and repetitive mini-game where you click when the orbs are inside a huge circle. There are Morphing Paw Prints and Lanterns in the CE version. This game should get an award for the shortest game in history, to me, this is an example of a game slapped together with little care of thought towards the fan-base, there's simply NO excuse for this!

The Hidden Object Scenes are super simplistic and include Interactive List Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds and Multiple Item Finds. There are several smaller HOP's where you must find Multiples of Items within the entire scene, but those items are so large, you simply can't miss them such as 6 Crates.

The Mini-Games are super simplistic and repetitive. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:

1-Rotate disk rings to complete the image.
2-Click when orbs are inside the large center ring.
3-Use directional arrows to avoid obstacles and collect flags.
4-Repeat the sequence of doorknockers.
5-Select matching symbols.
6-Rotate and place picture pieces.
7-Repeat the sequence of snakes.

The Collector's Edition version has 13 Wallpapers, 20 Concept Art pictures, 6 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 10 Movie Videos, 9 re-playable Mini-Games, 9 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 11 Achievements to earn, 14 Collectible Lanterns, 18 Morphing Paws, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide.
