Ding, Dong, the wedding bells have already rung for Princess Aerin and Tillian! King Galanius has finally passed the crown, but the wedding bliss begins to fade when word arrives at the Royal Palace that monstrous creatures are causing havoc in the forest. Queen Aerin and her new husband Tillian head to the forest and soon discover that an evil-doer has poisoned the water. The poison is turning ordinary creatures into angry monstrous creatures, looks like the honeymoon's over, but after all, this Royal couple does love a good adventure.

If a new HOPA adventure is off the table for a Saturday morning Holiday weekend, I couldn't be happier that a new Elven Legend Time Management game has taken its place. This is one of my favorite TM game series, the graphics are always great, the storyline is always interesting, and it's always fun to play.

Elven Legend games are a strategy based Time Management game, you must queue your tasks in a specific order, but the goals are always obtainable, although some levels may take a couple of replays to earn all 3 stars. You can play in a Relaxed mode with no timer, Normal, or Hard Mode, and you can replay the levels as often as necessary. Bonus Icons become available that help you beat the levels, it's nearly impossible to beat the level and earn all 3 Stars without them. Each level has a different type of bonus such as Speed Boots to make the workers move faster, a bonus to Increase Resources, Double the Production of Resources, Speed up Work Production or even Increase the number of Existing Resources.

There are the normal TM tasks of collecting food, water, wood, stone crystals etc. and the same tasks of clearing the roads, repairing bridges and filling in pits along the way. Queen Aerin does all the magic work, once she has enough magical crystals to charge her staff and hubby Tillian does all the negotiations. The goal is to gather the necessary ingredients to mass produce the cure and change the poisoned animals they encounter back to their former glory, but naturally, they must first help citizens with their dilemmas before the citizens can help them.

There are several Altars of Resources available in each level that will produce renewable resources over a period of time. There are Berry Bushes that produce food and a Magical Tree that produces wood, but they will first require Water before they will regrow or produce. You will need to construct different buildings and upgrade them to produce various resources such as Farms to produce food, Workers House's to hire extra workers, Sawmills for wood, a Griffin Hut to house Griffin, who chases away poachers, Hives etc. Some levels require items to be Crafted such as the Potion to cure the animals, the items you gather will automatically move to the icon, and once all items have been collected you need to click on the icon to complete the task. (it will sparkle when all necessary ingredients have been gathered)

In this Collector's Edition version, each scene has a Morphing Ancient Animal (60) a Crystal Flower (60) and a collectible Magic Crystal (60) for the Vitrage. There are 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 38 Achievements to earn, 10 extra CE levels and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy!

Yet another series with a long history. Although this game has all the familiar characters and gameplay we have seen before, the developers have added some new features and friendly eye pleasing graphics.

There are 3 different collectables on each level, and a strategy guide that shows them. A shard, a flower and our furry black friend that pops up and down to distract you from your tasks.

Having talked about the friendly and colourful look of this game, do not be fooled, you are thrown straight into putting your strategy cap on as to the order of upgrades and where to head off next. Any game that makes me repeat a level or two in the first ten, is a clever game! There is relaxed mode for less experienced players or those who wish to try a level first. I appreciate this so I am playing straight away and not held back for tutorial/game orientation in the first part.

The dialogue boxes (story) can be skipped, but the "how interesting' and "it shall be done' parts are with us as usual. I guess it alerts you that at least your character is on it's way.

Enough new features, graphics and collectables to just make this a wonderful, eye pleasing and challenging CE. It is both challenging and relaxing to play. Love it! Show less

So glad to see this out, tried it and purchased it immediately. Great to have on a holiday weekend. I have the others in the series and am enjoying this one very much. Great graphics, music is nice and the story line entertaining.

I enjoy these "Elven Legend" games very much! Other reviewers have pretty much said it all and I agree...I love the little furry creatures, the pretty flowers and the shards of the Vistrage we are collecting. As usual, the scene gets pretty busy very early on. The storyline is excellent and the graphics are even better than ever. Elevator-like muzak in the background, yep I'm turning it off. You can disable the Tutorial in-game, a nice touch. A bit cartoon-y but the colors are vibrant, the playing field ample and the sly little game hitches are ready, willing and able to defy your first attempts at gold time, especially in professional mode (there's relaxed and normal, too).

Just your slightly above average collect and build TM game. Nothing special, but then there hasn't been any outstanding TM for a few years now, the developers seem to have given up.
There are some good points, in that it's not too much of a click-fest, there are no trolls (so far) that you have to click quickly at 20 times and get knackered fingers. You build things, collect gems/gold and build other things and buy other things. It's not ridiculously hard like some often are, nor is it easy.

As usual with many of these games, I can't see how it can justify it's "CE" tag, thus charging twice as much, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
Having said all this, I did enjoy my free hour and was disappointed after my hour ended.
If I didn't have any tokens, I would not pay £10 for this game, it's not worth it. However, seen as I have FIVE tokens, due to the lack of anything worthwhile for months, I think I *might* get it.

The graphics are simple, but fine. I don't really pay attention to the storyline and always mute the music. Show less
