NO NEED TO HUNT ANY FURTHER FOR A TOP NOTCHED TIME MANAGEMENT GAME!

New Yankee is quickly winning our Time Management hearts, and I'm so glad they finally stopped offering them as a Collector's Edition version first! The graphics keep getting better and better, the tasks keep getting more interesting and I love John's sarcastic humor.

New Yankee is quickly winning our Time Management hearts, and I'm so glad they finally stopped offering them as a Collector's Edition version first! The graphics keep getting better and better, the tasks keep getting more interesting and I love John's sarcastic humor.

You can play in a Relaxed, Normal or Expert difficulty mode, and there are 30 Achievement Trophies to earn. There are 50 Levels and 32 Hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to search for, some of which are quite obscure. As you progress, you are given the option to choose a between 3 Bonuses that will help you with the tougher levels by allowing Mary to Walk and Cast Spells Faster, John to Walk and Fight Faster or help Max the dog to Run Faster, or at least as fast as his poor little short bulldog legs can move.

Like most TM games, you must gather resources such as food, wood, gold and mana, clear boulders, logs, and weeds from the paths, fill in potholes, chop down trees, repair bridges, and construct or repair sawmills, Mills to produce more food, workers houses (Max needs a house too) The workers do almost everything, John is the Knight in Shining Armor and does the fighting, Mary is skilled in Witchcraft and takes care of Casting all the Spells to instantly regrow trees that have been cut down, construct Altars that magically speed up the process by restocking food sources and even conjure up Druid Bridges, but she needs a constant supply of Mana from the wells or an occasional bottle abandoned along the paths, to work her magic.

I can't imagine what this series could possibly add to make it any better. Each game in the series seems to just keep getting better and it has all the features a TM game should have and none of the features it shouldn't. The games in this series can be played and enjoyed by beginners just as much as it is by TM experts!

This game series just gets better and better. (Rudy 1959, you have to rejuvenate the gold bearing bushes)

Sound and music is just like others in the series and the goals are basically the same but as there are so few TM games, this was a definite 'buy' for me. (Used a free credit as this is a standard game)

I found no problems playing this and am only at level 10, so am going to sign off and ...Show more

I enjoy this series immensely and was delighted to purchase this new one sight unseen. This has been the most difficult one yet. I really had to strategize, even on the relaxed play. The puzzle pieces are not easy to find, so I ended up replaying some of the levels. (To be truthful, in all of the tasks that needed to be done, I forgot to look for them on some of the levels.) I have one other New Yankee game and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was delighted to see another one become available. The graphics are terrific and there is a good mix of the familiar and new features. There's a good variety of things to do and fun characters to work with. The choice of bonuses and the mini-games are great features, too. I have one other New Yankee game and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was delighted to see another one become available. The graphics are terrific and there is a good mix of the familiar and new features. There's a good variety of things to do and fun characters to work with. The choice of bonuses and the mini-games are great features, too. I'm still laughing at the sound the workers make when they run into the "baddies." It hasn't gotten old yet. I'm also glad that this TM goesn't have as much chatter by the workers as some other TM games do. The repetitive sounds get old really fast, so I'm glad these workers are mostly mum. This is a thoroughly enjoyable TM game experience. Show less

Well it took a while for me to warm up to this series, because it's not merely challenging, it can get downright HARD. But this one is so well done and of good quality, the challenge is there so how could I resist? New means of getting resources and other other elements but with the same crew in awesome 3D, same Max the 3D bulldog (good boy!). Still getting the feel of it in Normal mode--there's also Expert and Relaxed and the ability to turn off Hints in the Options section. Bunnies hop, trees sway and butterflies flutter in the magical backgrounds. You can click ahead task-wise and change your mind later with a right-click. Oh yeah, certain bad guys are back too, enough said. Have to examine the tasks and their costs and plan ahead at times; this definitely has strategy at its roots, which may not appeal to all.

A quality resource management game I snapped up almost immediately. Glad I did, too. Show less

I thought the last Yankee game was their best ever - but this one surpasses it in every way! Loved all the new additions, like the gold-bearing berry trees. I was disappointed when the trial ended so this is a definite purchase for me. Thank you BF!

I love this series it's never disappointing. The new whimsical set is refreshing and I can't wait to get through the rest of this game. I only played 10 min and I am sold. It is nice not to have to wait for the Standard Version either tks for that. Ok I am going to get back to the game TTFN.

We all loved every minute of this Time Management game...my G'kids were all delighted when they saw it was a new one in the series !!!

The story was interesting and we all loved Sir John's attitude...some of it was quite hilarious !!! We also loved how they added a wee pet Max... that does some serious damage during their adventure...I really liked that new feature !!!
