It is very difficult. It would be fun to have a different background! I have great determination so play a difficult level until I get enough extras until I finish a level. I can go for a whole day! But great satisfaction to get a perfect! Only buy this if you have a lot of patience and love, love, solitaire!

I recommend this game!

I guess I'm the odd person out as they say, but I enjoy these games where the object is to find and eliminate the gold cards; and it is a new game for me as I haven't played this particular series before. Always try it for yourself.

I recommend this game!

The backgrounds are the same as the last but there are different card layouts so it is not the same game. Glich in Newbie level 1 of Home Sweet Home, the cards are all face down and won't turn over. There are a lot of boards you can't clear easily due to short deck. I guess it's a challenge but also gets very frustrating. Like playing these games though.

In Newbie on page 4 of Home sweet home. It has NO face up cards to start the game. What happened ? Am I missing something ?

The positives:The gameplay itself is very rapid, which is great for a solitaire game. You can click on a sequence of cards quickly, and that is always fun. The music and graphics are non-offensive, but nothing different.

The negatives: Despite the ability to click your sequences rapidly, if a card has any kind of coin or bonus it stops your sequence dead in its tracks to fill the whole screen with a pop-up to tell you whatcha got. Nope. The challenge of uncovering just the gold cards is fine, I suppose, but the level of challenge is a little wacky. The first set of cards are completed easily, and you easily uncover all the gold coins without using any extra power-ups to do so. Then, the challenge becomes bizarrely impossible to do. In the first set of cards I accumulated something like 9 shuffles and 4 jokers, and just into the second set I was unable to even uncover a single gold card after 3 attempts. On my 4th try I used up ALL my shuffles and 3 of my jokers in a single hand and was able to retrieve all the coins- 3 out of 6. After using ALL my power-ups. If you can't get coins- how can you buy new power-ups?? That made me quit playing since solitaire is intrinsically supposed to be relaxing. It felt like trying to level up on a Boss Level of some video game, and I wasn't that far into the game. Not up for a solitaire game requiring you to play the same deal a million times just to progress to the next one. That's what the FB games do to force you to pay to progress, but this is a game sold outright in its entirety. Not good.

Feedback: Everyone loves being at the seashore. Instead of the same tinkling and repetitive tune playing in the background, how about some relaxing sound effects like seagulls or waves? It was hard to get into the whole "beach" theme that was being touted. A croissant and coffee as background? Sure. A bunch of shells? Okay, but let's put some effort into it!

Finally: If this is a recycled game passed off as new- that is shame to do that to your customers, and not cool at all, and speaks poorly of both developer and BF. If I were considering buying the game to pass the time on a lazy afternoon, I will not do so based upon previous reviewers confirming that this is NOT a substantially new game, but a game trying to double-dip into our wallets at a time when money for these things is very tight for many, and new indoor entertainments a prime product. Its been a year since the last Beach Season Solitaire game has been released but I've played enough of this developers games to know that nothing has changed, NOT EVEN the level layouts themselves. This is not a new game in the series, it's the same game with a different title, shame on you devs!

The fact that this dev makes money by snookering unsuspecting players isn't the only reason I don't like the Solitaire Games by this developer:

◭They only offer one type of Solitaire game, the Golf type where you play 10 levels with scoring similar to bowling. (in all fairness they also occasionally offer Match 2 cards, Mahjong style solitaire games too, but you still only get to remove the gold cards to win)
◭They only offer the feature of removing the Gold Cards to win and end the level, even if there are a ton of remaining cards on the board. Not being able to remove all of the cards on the board drives me absolutely bonkers! IF this dev would simply tweak this feature to allow for the OPTION of continuing to play after removing all of the gold cards for points, I would be "all in" and I'd climb back on the 8floor train!
◭They never add new features, they never change anything. The music is the same and so repetitive it becomes boring and mind-numbingly maddening! The shop will always have 3 available items, forget about ever getting a power-up card or something interesting because that's never gonna happen.

This is a Higher/Lower Solitaire game with 20 Locations and 10 Levels per location. You can choose from 9 Themed Card graphics and 3 Face Font styles. You are forced to start in the Newbie mode until the tutorial shows you all the features or you click to disable the tutorial. Newbie Mode allows you to replay any of the 10 levels in a deck as often as you'd like, and the Professional mode only allows you to replay the entire 10 level pack. In the case of a perfect score, the points of the current level will be added to the points of the next level similar to bowling scores.

The only Shop bonuses offered are Jokers, a Shuffle feature and an Undo feature for an astronomical price point, however, they are quite generous because they start you out with 3 Jokers, a single Shuffle and a single Undo (yes, I'm being sarcastic) Cards that have a Star on the top right are special Bonus Cards that usually give you +499 Coins, (because giving you +500 points would just be ridiculous) occasionally, you are awarded a Mulligan's (undo) a Joker (wildcards) or a Shuffle bonus (shuffles the cards and re-deals new ones) The goal of each level is always the same... Remove all Gold Cards from the board which will give you the maximum amount of points, even if other cards remain on the board.

I just hate that I can't play until I remove all of the cards from the board. This is just another boring, Golf/Bowling type Solitaire game that is exactly the same as all of the other solitaire games by this dev. I just can't give kudos to a dev that never bothers to change any feature or add features that we continue to ask for time and time again, but if they ever do, I'll be more than happy to give them a more positive review!

I imagine it won't matter to anyone who has not purchased one before, but it does matter to me when I see a developer who wants the $$ but doesn't give anything in return. We are not stupid, we know this is not a new game. I too am familiar with the previous Beach Season solitaires and today's release is exactly the same! I imagine it won't matter to anyone who has not purchased one before, but it does matter to me when I see a developer who wants the $$ but doesn't give anything in return. How difficult can it be to deliver a solitaire game that contains what we always ask for, that every good solitaire game should contain anyway?? The features we want are not an unreasonable request by any means. You just seem not to care. There are many quality solitaire games at Big Fish, thankfully. So your absence from my collection won't matter.

If you enjoy high/low solitaire with minimal features and the inability to clear the entire board, a sparse little shop and no fun power up cards then you might be okay with this game. At least try the demo. Show less

im glad i seen the last review i checked out my games and tried all my beach season solitaire games and this one here that has gone in is the exact same as solitaire beach season waves of time check for yourselfs if you have the collection of the games if you dont then it is a not bad game to have its unfair to dupe people into thinking its a new game tho i tried the demo then tried my other game ...Show more
