Honestly? I was shocked when I read the other reviews. I could not believe that this game would be that bad since I have played the special version. This is a great game. My all-time favorite is the Rescue series, but this is right up there. The music is wonderful, the graphics are great. The characters move faster than any of the usual slow-pokes and the game does not annoy you with a tutorial, but manages to simply teach you.

I like the bonus chests that give you boosts like your characters moving 10% faster, and when the boosts on the bottom kick in, the little guys zoom around the screen! Not a boring moment.

It is very challenging and you really have to plan ahead to get three stars. Just love it. Show less

A year ago, I decided to expand my horizons and took a leap into playing TM games. Although still not my favorite genre there are some excellent TM games. Argonauts Agency didn’t grab me at first but now when I see one I decide to give it a try. I found myself enjoying Chair of Hephaestus, a game that is far better than those early in the series.

Since I am not as good at playing TM games, I always choose the relaxed mode that makes the games more fun and seem less like work. I enjoy the gather resources games far more than those where I need to wait on customers, so Chair of Hephaestus fits the bill for me. I decided to wait for the standard release of the game but since I am not as good at figuring them out, I think I am going to go for the CE on this one since I enjoyed playing the game until I got stuck and couldn’t figure out what to do next.

Argonauts Agency is a game that kept me involved and having a lot of fun along the way as I worked to free Pelias from that magic chair. If you enjoy TM games or even if you want to try something new, I recommend that you try the demo to see if you will enjoy Argonauts Agency Chair of Hephaestus as well. Happy gaming! Show less

This game has no timer but keeps you busy building buildings and harvesting resources and it uses portals to jump around and magic to open doors. It keeps you really busy with the mechanics of the game but it has some fun also. I liked it but you might want to play the free hour to decide for yourself. I probably will not play it a second time.

I enjoy these games and generally wait for the standard edition to come out as there hasn't been anything special about he collectors edition. Well this game when you buy the standard edition only get 50 levels you have to go and buy the collector's edition to get the extra 10 levels. Not with buying it a second time for 10 levels and there is no way to upgrade. Just for your information

Great fun game, but not challenging. This appears to be a made up game and made longer so it could be bought as a CE. The idea was great but it is not CE material, although it has great potential.

I'm still not a fan of the Argonauts Agency because, like most games offered by this developer, nothing really changes. The storylines only change slightly from game to game, the graphics are old-school, bland, colorless and cartoon in nature, the Time Management tasks are so "average" and mundane.

You can play in an Untimed, Normal or Hard difficulty mode, and it allows you to switch back and forth easily before the start of each level with an icon located above the levels. I will admit that this is a great feature because sometimes it's helpful to play the first go-round in an untimed mode to figure out what the requirements are, such as what materials are needed for each task and in which order to queue them,and then play the level again in a normal or hard mode, especially when a TM game requires a lot of strategies. (but then again, this one doesn't really require using a whole lot of strategy to earn 3 stars lol)

This is just an Average-Joe, resource collection Time Management game with the usual tasks of Building Farms for Food, Sawmills for Wood, Gold Mines for cold-hard Cash, Quarries for Stone and Markets for Trading Food for specific materials such as Stone or Gold. There are the usual nearly instantaneous Berry Bushes for a renewable food source, huge loaves of bread that in theory would scale to weigh about 10 pounds, the usual path blockers of wood, boulders, puddles, holes, and random caches of gold coins...whoo-hoo! I've struck it rich!!

This Standard Edition version is the better route to go if you like the Argonauts Agency series because the CE version is NOT worth the price. In the CE version, there are 10 pages of Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, and 29 Achievement Trophies to earn, and a handful of additional levels or "campaigns" as they are referred to. At least they decided to include a Strategy Guide in the CE version, for the first time. There aren't any Morphs, Puzzle Pieces or Collectibles offered to offset the price difference.

This is an outdated time management game that reminds me of TM games available years ago. I found it to be boring and repetitious -- which is identical to my response to an earlier game in this serious (Argonauts Agency: Pandora’s Box).

I quit after 15 minutes, but it may be of interest to those new to TM games.

I don't recommend this game.

I played the demo for 15 mins and was so bored, I uninstalled it. These type TM games have come far and we expect a whole lot better than this game has to offer. The graphics, game play, and characters are all so old that I can't believe this game was offered. I'll wait for games more like Kingdom Chronicles and Beyond the Kingdom that don't insult our intelligence.

I don't recommend this game.

I should have paid attention to the other reviews on this game but decided to take a chance and am bored - bored - bored! I hate to leave bad reviews since these developers work hard on these games but as one reviewer said takes you back to the olden days. Cartoonish graphics, simple game play and little challenge at least so far. Hate to not finish a game but am heading in that direction.
