I have been disappointed in the puzzles for these types of games hoping that they would have something to do with the theme/title...finally here's one that actually has puzzles (based on the still photos) that are theme related!! A definite buy.

Yay, another Fantasy Mosaics game is here and this one is just in time for Halloween. I have followed the Penguins on their journeys for the past several years and I’ve never been disappointed with any game. Yay, another Fantasy Mosaics game is here and this one is just in time for Halloween. I have followed the Penguins on their journeys for the past several years and I’ve never been disappointed with any game. Although I have recently found another mosaics game that I enjoy as well, I still keep coming back the Fantasy Mosaics.

What I love about this game is the Halloween them and the eerie music. What could be better than a cup of warm apple cider and this fun mosaic game to play on a fall evening. Overall what I like the best about the Fantasy Mosaics series are the large size board in the game and the brilliantly colored tiles. I have played other mosaics games but sometimes I struggle with the tiny squares that need to be filled with colored tiles.

For me Fantasy Mosaics is always entertaining and with the more recent games in the series there is far more challenge built into the game. Sometimes I need to use one of the power-ups to help me figure out where I need to place the next tile. I love the logic in the game that keeps me entertained and coming back to try my hand at each new game in the series. I hope the developer and BFG keep them coming my way in years to come. Even though I am a huge fan of Fantasy Mosaics and love Spooky Night, please try the demo to see if you will enjoy it as well. Happy gaming! Show less

As usual, Fantasy Mosaics has produced another great game in its series. I play the casual and the game makes me use logic. The music fits the theme. I'm sure the penguins will find fun and adventure in its quest. I know I will in following them. Great game.

I was so happy to see that one of my favorite series, Fantasy Mosaics, came out with a spooky theme just in time for Halloween. It is full of rich, beautiful colors, a cute story line, and eerie music.

I was so happy to see that one of my favorite series, Fantasy Mosaics, came out with a spooky theme just in time for Halloween. It is full of rich, beautiful colors, a cute story line, and eerie music.

In fact, I was so pleased, that I renewed my membership in order to buy it!

Thanks, creators of Fantasy Mosaics. The only reason why I rated it only 4 out of 5 for visual/sound quality, is because of the endless loops that I think every customer is sick of by now. Please, please come up with either more than one song while playing the game, or else a MUCH longer endless loop. I usually end up turning the music off because it becomes so monotonous. Show less

That's a feat they should certainly be proud of, so I mean no disrespect to this developer, but they are just becoming boring and predictable, so hear me out and let me explain ...Show more

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I did enjoy this Halloween-themed edition, otherwise, I would have only given this game 3-Stars. Fantasy Mosaics have released a mind-boggling 37 games over the past 5 years. That's a feat they should certainly be proud of, so I mean no disrespect to this developer, but they are just becoming boring and predictable, so hear me out and let me explain why...

This is indeed a fantastic Fantasy Mosaic series, but very little has changed over the last 37 games in 5 years. They added multiple colors, they added tile styles, they added locked colors, they added multiple difficulties including Zen mode, but that's about it. They've really only made 4 notable changes over a span of 37 games which isn't very impressive when you lay it out in black and white. If you played a HOPA game that only changed the background pictures 37 times in a row, and everything else remained the same, you'd be bored out of your mind.

I'm not suggesting they abolish this series, but can't they create another series with something different offered for those of us who have faithfully played and reviewed all 37 games over the past 5 years? Think about it, after playing a handful of games this series the only reason to buy a new game is if you want to solve a different image. You could literally go back to the first releases in this series and it would be like playing a brand new game because you won't remember doing those images or how you solved it, so it'll be the same thing as buying a new game in the same series if none of the features have changed, right???

Zen Mode has returned if you prefer to solve the griddlers without all the hand/flipper holding. In Zen Mode, the numbers aren't crossed off but Mistakes aren't counted against you either, because chances are, you'll have to edit some of the cells as you switch colors. You can delete filled-in or crossed-off cells by right-clicking the cell in Zen Mode, and you'll know you have completed a particular color correctly because a checkmark will appear on the color bubble.

In addition to the new Zen Mode, you can also choose to play in a Casual Mode which crosses off the cells one by one, or the Advanced Mode, which only crosses off the remaining cells once the entire row and column have been filled in. You will earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.

There are 20 locations, and each location has 5 Griddlers each. You can choose from 7 different tile sets, ranging in color vibrancy and styles. Locked Colors can be disabled in the Settings menu, otherwise, some of the colors are locked and unavailable until you uncover color-specific keys that are hidden beneath some of the filled-in cells The Eye feature allows you to hide the grid to get a look at the puzzle without all the grid lines, and there is a reset icon that makes it much easier to restart the level if you make a mistake.

There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to cross-off cells that can't possibly contain a filled-in cell, which will reduce the number of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit, when you get stuck, you can switch colors and work back and forth until it's solved. Some of the cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed or an extra pickax which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on, and some cells contain keys to unlock colors (unless you disable this feature in settings) There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega-hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.

Very few of the puzzles were spooky. Those that weren't looked as though they had gone to the "We haven't used this" drawer and pulled out anything not related to Halloween. I like these games usually, I'm just disappointed in that they called this one spooky.

I don't recommend this game.
