A different twist on an old favourite

I have all these games and enjoy them all and I felt that the last one was not much of an improvement in fact I thought it got easier. I still enjoyed it though. Now this one in my opinion is far better than 8, more of a challenge with lots of new twists on things. Although you do get more money when you upgrade you also get more resources at a lower amount in a shorter time ie you get 15 units ...Show more

Now this one in my opinion is far better than 8, more of a challenge with lots of new twists on things. Although you do get more money when you upgrade you also get more resources at a lower amount in a shorter time ie you get 15 units every 15 seconds then 20 units every 20 seconds which earns you more but at the moment there seems to be less buildings to build. A new addition is a store where you can purchase shovels, dynamite, tea etc. Then you have the investigator who collects all the clues for you. There are lots of differences which others can explain far better than me. I think they have made a very good attempt to make this a bit different wear as other games can be just the same old thing time after time. If you liked all the others then I would be surprised if you don't like this. Enjoy Show less

Well what a surprise! This offering takes parts of the series from way back, has added some new, and has borrowed some styling and graphics from other games by the developers. It's still a game of rescue, repair, gather, build and search. And even though this is No 9 it is still a fun game to play.

What's New?

*A store to buy tools, dynamite, hydrating and warming drinks (and traders sometimes too)
*Sandstorms and lightening doing damage
*The old trick of quickly demolishing a buiding and rebuilding same one quickly to get ''that' resource again, HAS GONE! buildings ONLY produce on a timeline that's faster if you upgrade. No instant production.
An 'evidence' board collecting clues to solve the defeat of Evil

Whats Familiar?
*The myriad of situations and characters that present the scenarios of each level;
*Police, hospitals, robber types, boats, chairlifts, cranes, helicopters, gas leaks, and most others. The buildings are the same. Burgers, houses, petrol stations and wood.
*Buying bonuses with your earned stars.

What's old?
Those 'pesky' little wandering pets that need 'real' searching for sometimes!! Groan..but they do make it fun really..you have to watch your goal screen to see if you have them all rounded up.

To me the graphics in this one don't come up as well as in the last game of the series, they are smaller, and only the crooks seem to have moved forward in quality.But I have to judge this game stand alone and in itself it rates as great fun and plenty of challenge.

There are three modes of play (inc relaxed), a strategy guide, acheivements and 20 bonus levels as a CE. Its great that a developer can still produce a fun game without boring us after many games of a series. We will all have our favourites, but this one is a great little game that wont disappoint once you get used to it. Enjoy Show less

This series gets better and better. All the same elements of the old games are there with the additions of stores you can buy supplies from and an evil genius causing the disasters. Some building strategy is required to get the 3 stars but i did'nt find it impossible in the normal mode. This game I bought immediately after the trial.

I recommend this game!

I love the Rescue Team series, and this one does not disappoint!! It has the same game play as the others, you clean up debris, build and upgrade buildings to gain more resources such as wood, food, fuel to get you task of rescuing people done in a timely manner.

There are 3 levels of game play, expert for those who are looking for a challenge in timed mode which goes quickly on this mode.
Casual for those who still like a challenge but also want to enjoy the game without thinking about time limits.
Relaxed so you don't have to worry about time running out and not gaining any stars at all which also is the object of the game to be able to upgrade your workers to run faster, building faster etc. I prefer the relaxed mode as it says I just want to relax and have fun.
I recommend this game and purchased it as well. Show less

I love all the Rescue Team games was excited when this one came out Played the demo and was so into it i was mad when it ended. This is just my opinion but this will be on my buy list. The demo was awesome like all the rescue games love it when the developers take time and effort they put into these games and they only put the game out when it is ready and its not a rush job. Ont this one you have to stop and evil scientist with a weather machine but the twist is you have to send the special agent to collect evidence also there are new items you have to have in order to complete the tasks. Fantastic new addition to this wonderful time management game.

So many things are packed into this colorful, artistic game. I don't want to stop playing. I like that you must do some planning ahead or start over. Trying to figure out the strategy to get three stars can be a challenge, but this is what I like about this series.

Great story line. We should appreciate and applaud the first responders who risk their lives to save others and protect our communities from life threatening disasters. Whether an act of mother nature or some nefarious evil doer, it is comforting to know we are in good hands. Show less
