I liked the gameplay a lot. Based on my trial time the levels were manageable, not too hectic. Gameplay is smooth and all things are in a good distance, so you don't have to look too hard where everything is. As I don't like TMs where already in the first levels I am close to a nervous breakdown because everything is way too hectic this is a game I like. Don't know how the levels develop of ...Show more

It's fun earning the money (and more importantly KNOWING HOW TO SPEND IT) to move forward and upgrade and embellish your restaurants, keep patrons happy and once you figure that out, game play is smooth and rewarding.

Part of the fun in this series is figuring out how NOT to have hot heads and angry customers because, honestly, my virtual customers are never angry and I've never had a problem with not earning plenty of money. Part of the trick is spending your earnings wisely and pacing your purchases on the proper equipment and upgrades. So if you are getting lots of angry customers, you haven't used your money wisely. And, BTW, one can also play levels over and earn tons of money that way if they aren't able to figure it out any other way.

Those who complain it's the same game as prior games, well, it isn't... no more than any TM game series. They ALL have a basic formula, really.

I have a enjoyed each and every one of this developer's games and each level (and game) offers a new set and them.

It's a great formula and I, for one, love it, enjoy it and hope they keep it.

I have enjoyed this game so much! I like playing this game on both Mac and PC! The gameplay is similar to the Katy & Bob games. I recommend a free trial of the game, because if you try playing the game, you will like it!

Come on developers, give me something I can sink my teeth into. I absolutely adore these games, but this series and even the Katy & Bob series (at least the second one - haven't tried the 3rd yet) were ridiculously EASY.

The Cooking Stars game, now that one had some bite to it! But these... I skip upgrades JUST to make it a little harder and I still hit gold every time without batting an eyelash. I have to push my way through, keep hoping it will get harder... Give us a difficulty selector if it's too hard for people - make an Insane difficulty that is barely possible to hit - but for goodness sake's make these a little more difficult - this would be a GREAT game if it weren't so easy... fromFYI: anyone who provides a personal service such as a groomer, hairdresser, even plumbers, etc. should be tipped. "Servers" depend on tips because their minimum wage is as low as $2-3 an hour in some states!

I own all of the Katy & Bob games so no, I don't need another game that's an exact replica of those games, disguised as a new TM ...Show more

I also don't appreciate having to "wait hand and foot" on customers who seem to have a big "tude" (and alligator arms) why would I want to play a game filled with angry hotheads, or with people that leave poor tips no matter how quickly they are served? How about we add a Waitress Attitude Tab option to at least make it an even playing field, such as a "refusal to serve" or "here's the door, don't let it hitcha in the as...spin" option, that oughta make things more interesting!

If you played the last Cooking Trip game (or Katy & Bob games) the first thing you'll notice is that the restaurant layout is the same. The familiar three, standing room only tables on the left, a fence around the entire tiki hut restaurant, a prep area where John continuously waves his hands in front of the actual food station, as if he was sprinkling fairy-dust or conjuring a potion, a condiments station to the left, rectangular tables for fruits of various types on the bottom portion of the screen, a freezer on the right-hand side to turn those cherries and blueberries into a frosty cold lemonade?? and eventually, 2 different restaurants with similar Katy & Bob themes. Does any of this sound familiar? Of course, it does, because this is the MO for all games by this developer, all they ever do is change the Title and the Characters names and roll with it for years and years!

This is a Point & Click, Time Management game where you serve customers for chump change. You simply click the customer to give them a menu when they arrive and then click on the items they order, (pictured items are shown in their thought bubble) you simply re-click the customer to deliver those food items (exactly as pictured) and then get down on your hands and knees to pick up the coins they toss at you. Okay, not really, but it's the year 2020, who's so cheap they can't even leave their poor waitress an entire buck, or two, or 3, instead of a few lousy coins? The good news is that you don't have to drag anybody or anything, an even more annoying feature some TM games incorporate.

Each customer has a Green Smiley over their head which turns Yellow, and eventually, Red if the service is too slow because they are hotheads with no respect for servers. Their patience level also directly affects the amount of tip they are willing to leave, with either Gold, Silver, or Bronze Coins. The "Expert" Goal amount is shown before the start of each level, and there are Bonus Goals available, but not required, which are shown at the bottom, such as collecting money from three consecutive customers simultaneously.

As you progress, the Menu items increase and become more complex. The tips you earn are used to purchase Upgrades from the Shop to help you achieve level goals, such as Extra Serving Stations, Decor to help stabilize the customers' mood or earn more money by Increasing the cost of food items.

There are 60 Levels and 12 Trophy Achievements to earn, and the Collector's Edition version Extra's include 10 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, and a Walkthrough Strategy Guide.
