Great fun, a few changes from others in the series

I bought the CE of this game: and this was basically the review to save having to write it all again.

Well what a surprise! This offering takes parts of the series from way back, has added some new, and has borrowed some styling and graphics from other games by the developers. Well what a surprise! This offering takes parts of the series from way back, has added some new, and has borrowed some styling and graphics from other games by the developers. It's still a game of rescue, repair, gather, build and search. And even though this is No 9 it is still a fun game to play.

What's New?
*Devices you must gather the parts and assemble
*Swarms of insects to be removed using the above
*A store to buy tools, dynamite, hydrating and warming drinks (and traders sometimes too)
*Sandstorms and lightening doing damage
*The old trick of quickly demolishing a building and rebuilding same one quickly to get ''that' resource again, HAS GONE! buildings ONLY produce on a timeline that's faster if you upgrade. No instant production.
An 'evidence' board collecting clues to solve the defeat of Evil

Whats Familiar?
*The myriad of situations and characters that present the scenarios of each level;
*Police, hospitals, robber types, boats, chairlifts, cranes, helicopters, gas leaks, and most others. The buildings are the same. Burgers, houses, petrol stations, wood, and pet store.
*Buying bonuses with your earned stars.

What's old?
Those 'pesky' little wandering pets that need 'real' searching for sometimes!! Groan..but they do make it fun really..you have to watch your goal screen to see if you have them all rounded up.

There are three modes of play (inc relaxed), Its great that a developer can still produce a fun game without boring us after many games of a series. We will all have our favourites, but this one is a great little game that wont disappoint once you get used to it. Enjoy!

Surprised me how quick this game won me over, I bought it within the first ten minutes. I only got into the first few of this series after that it seemed to lose something but they sure have brought it all back with this one.

Like joybelle says it does take a little bit getting used to, it's not like other similar games at all. It gives very good help along the way and it's not annoying help ...Show more

This rescue is really fun and cheery no bodies, gloominess etc in this one, well so far that is, so try demo. Show less

I really enjoy all the rescue games and this one was no different. I found it challenging enough yet able to finally get three stars on every level on expert. Many delightful hours of play.

Really enjoyed this - this series is getting better all the time.

Just FYI, Collector's Edition has 20 additional levels - Worth the extra $$ to me.

Aspects of play that in former versions had been challenging were overly easy. The addition of certain animals(!?) was problematic for me, because against the color of the path they were on, they were very difficult to see. So - easy where I wanted challenging, and frustrating where I didn't expect it. It's also very noticeable that the graphics are "improved." I was not so impressed.

My style with TM games is to play until I have 3 stars on each level. It was hard for me to maintain enough interest to just finish the game.

That said, I truly wish that there were more high quality TM games out there. Show less

I'm only about six parts in, but so far this game is much slower and has less going on that's fun than the previous games. It didn't cost much on sale, but I too wish I would have tried it first. Since I own all the previous editions I figured I didn't need to try it....I was wrong. As is...It seems better for young kids who might need more time on items

I don't recommend this game.
