Game 8, some games when you get to the 8th game are not much difference so does this pull a punch? Of course it does. I now have all 8 games and each time there is a wow factor and you think it can't get any better. There are the usual attributes that make this game series what it is known for, all the regulars are there, ok Max the dog can get a bit annoying with his barking but the devs are forever looking at new angles and really put a lot into making these games. I don't want to give too much away but it is a challenge from the word go, a fairly easy level 1 then off we go. Each level there are different tasks and they progressively get harder.
As regards the demo to get the most out of your hour's demo play on relaxed, that way you can get further in to the game to give you more of an idea, then if you purchase play on what ever level you like.
I did this whole game on relaxed level in order to get a feel for it and it is a challenge on relaxed so now I am upping the anti. There is so much to do in this game that you will never get bored if you are a TM buff like myself. The odd level is a bit less tasking every now and then but I think that could be to let you de stress a bit and give you a rest,bit of a calm before the storm if you like. Still good fun though.
I did find however that the last level could have been a bit more of a challenge, Don't get me wrong it is still a challenge but I felt could have been a bit more of a task to complete. It was not what I feel a final level should be like
I did buy the CE version of this and this is just a standard 50 levels with no puzzles or extras but still one of the top TM games out there so whichever one you get you will not be let down if you are an avid TM fan like me.
What I did like about this is it gets fairly challenging in the demo time, a lot of games are not that good in the demo time so give a wrong opinion of the game, on the other hand, some games start with a challenge then cool off but for me this is a challenge all the way through and lives up to its reputation of being one of the top TM series produced, in my opinion.
One last thing I will say is (This is the same in other games in this series) that it would be really handy Devs if you could number the levels on the map instead of having to hover over a marker to reveal what level it is. The levels are all over the place, so much easier to locate say level 15 if you could actually see where level 15 was. Apart from that I am very happy but please demo first, do not take my word for it. Show less

The gang is all here..Mary, John, Max the dog all doing the tasks only each one can do..and a helpful gremlin is here too. Set in a greek oddessy the screens offer a new setting, and gameplay is just a delight, smooth and strategic.

Try the demo, but as gather resource TM's go..you wont do better IMHO. Enjoy! Show less

This game series is great. Lots of challenges. I've played it several times on Expert game mode, trying different power ups and still cannot beat level 26-Gold. I've seen that many others are experiencing the same issue (based on reviews on-line). While the challenge is awesome, you need to be able to achieve the rewards of getting gold on that one last challenging level, otherwise frustration ...Show more

This game series is great. Lots of challenges. I've played it several times on Expert game mode, trying different power ups and still cannot beat level 26-Gold. Can't scroll back to other levels. The bird mini game has issues where the screen seems to freak out here and there with flashes. Not sure if these issues are just me or if others are experiencing them also. Still a good game and love playing it.

You have puzzle easter eggs to randomly find, they complete a picture in the extra section. What is nice is- on the map just putting the cursor over the level icons reveals whether a puzzle piece is there and whether you have found it, so you can go back and locate it and click on it ...Show more

Just another version of the previous one with a different story line. Maybe a new music track but not much is new. You have puzzle easter eggs to randomly find, they complete a picture in the extra section. What is nice is- on the map just putting the cursor over the level icons reveals whether a puzzle piece is there and whether you have found it, so you can go back and locate it and click on it without replaying the level to completion if you missed it the first time.

After a number of level completions you get a choice of 3 bonus accelerators. Humor is sprinkled throughout.

What is new is the arcade stuff. One of them is a battleship version which is nice. Another is a shoot em down arcade. The last one is a matching tiles game.

There are 3 playing modes, casual (untimed), normal (moderately timed), and extreme for the rabid TMG fans. I got through all levels with normal, after first playing casual, with some near the gold time mark. It's all timing and resource management while targeting just the requirements needed. And don't use the guide as a gospel solution, it's just a help suggestion to get you to see other alternatives that you must tailor to your solution which can differ from the guide. As the old saying goes, there is more then one way to get to home. Show less

I can't find the last flower to catch the pig. I've played this level several times, but cannot find it.
