Don't be fooled by the title or the graphics into thinking this isn't going to be a challenging enough game for adults because this game was developed by the same people who created the amazing Mortimer Beckett series! Don't be fooled by the title or the graphics into thinking this isn't going to be a challenging enough game for adults because this game was developed by the same people who created the amazing Mortimer Beckett series! The graphics are so bright and colorful, yet incredibly, they were still able to blend the objects into the scenery which is really hard to do when the scenery has bright colors. The first few scenes are rather easy as they explain the features, but I became totally engrossed in this game and when the demo abruptly ended, it surprised me, so this is my personal indication that it's a must-have game!

Montgomery Fox is a detective that has been hired by the insurance company to locate a stole necklace that will bankrupt the company if they have to pay the claim. Montgomery accepts the case and heads to the scene of the crime...a very wealthy estate of course, where you'll search for clues.

Each of the 60 Levels has a section of a Magnifying Glass to locate (shown as a pictured item on the left side of the inventory bar) as well as a pictured Collectible Achievement (shown on the right side of the inventory bar) These collectible's show up as achievements on a lawn after each HO level, and you may also receive a new Journal Entry.

The objects to locate are Listed Items, shown 3 words at a time, and 1 item on each level will show up in Blue Letters. This word can be clicked on to change the word (3 different words, such as Tuba, Flute, or Brush) and you must scroll through the words until you find the correct word that matches the item in the scene, how cool is that! So the items aren't mislabeled, I was confused by this feature too, at first.

Each Scene also has a Zoom Zone that sparkles and contains some of the Listed Objects. The Zoom Zone will not close once you have located all the objects and I loved the extra challenge of not knowing if the items could still be located in the zoom zones!

You can only play in a Relaxed Mode, there is no timer, no penalties for misclicks or using the Hint feature. After playing a few Hidden Object Levels, you can play a puzzle or mini-game of some sort. There was a Memory Match game where you flipped over daisy tokens to find matching Mushrooms that I really enjoyed and found to be a great challenge!

In each scene you're tasked with also finding a collectible (as shown on the tree stump at the bottom-right of your screen) and a piece of a magnifying glass (as shown on the tree stump at bottom-left). One or two list items shown in blue in each scene can be clicked on to change it to another item if you're having trouble finding it. Sparkling areas still sparkle even after there are no hidden items left to find there upping the challenge a wee bit. One mode of play -- relaxed -- no timer, no click penalties, use the hint button as often as you like (refills quickly).

I highly recommend this game! A very pleasant, amusing change from the usual and easy to play, suitable for all family members. Show less

I tried this HO when it came up because it looked something different, I was sceptical that it might be too easy. I was wrong, it is actually quite. challenging. It is bright, colourful and quite fun. A change from the heavy, dark HO's we are used to. It quite brightened my day. Might not be for the serious HO gamers, but its worth a try for humorous light relief.

I recommend this game!

This reminds me of earlier games when the hidden objects were very hard to find. I LOVE that! It's challenging. And the graphics are simply outstanding!! It's a very relaxing game. You at least need to do the demo.

when i seen this game i thought nahhhh kiddies game then i thought what the heck i tried it and wow i was amazed its fantastic very challanging wonderful fun fab graphics you realy have to search for the items they are well hidden the blue items are even harder to get right you have to search them individualy as it can be any of them lol its a good workout for the brain and with all this covid ...Show more

I am really enjoying this game... then I found out why - Because it's from the creators of the Mortimer Beckett series (which, I feel, are the best games offered in a HO format. And, my personal favorites). A must try.
Now that this game is available, I hope that a NEW Mortimer will be following.... one can hope.

It took me 2 scenes before I realized that I have to find the items sitting on the tree stumps on either side of the items list. Have yet to figure out what the items in blue are, but finding them is not the usual solution. Show less
